Never again. How to give 0 stars? The only thing I've ordered from Aperitivo for years was the french croissant sandwich. $16 (recent increase). I didn't realize there were so many ways to screw up a breakfast sandwich. Let me count the ways. I'd ordered it from them last week but the first thing I noticed today is that they switched from real ham to cold cuts. Disgusting. There's probably $2 of ingredients in the whole sandwich. The egg was cooked solid. The side salad was placed right below the hot sandwich separated only by a thin sheet of foil. By the time I got home the salad was warm and limp. Though I was starving, both the sandwich and the salad got thrown out. They haven't updated the menu a bit in years, only the prices. If they can't get a breakfast sandwich right no way am I spending $30 on an entree. read more

Went here for drinks with my friend and we had a nice time they have a nice ambiance. They had a nice variety for the menu. I got the chocolate martini. I feel like this is less common and usually places only have espresso martinis. My friend got the chocolate espresso martini which was also good. We got two orders of fries to share which were yummy. Unique, local, neighborhood restaurant. We love to come have a drink on the patio and split some appetizers. The Truffle Parmesan Fries are addictive, as is the hummus and pita bread. We've had Easter Brunch in there before & it was delicious. Satisfied everyone in our party from age 22 to 85! The crispy coconut shrimp were a huge hit that day. Then bread - they bring 5 tiny pieces of toasted baguette on a plate and charge $3. Who charges for bread on the table? And since when did I order toast? When in the history of restaurants do they bring you toast when you ask for what should be a free basket of bread wrapped in a cloth napkin? Again, total bullshit. Aperitivo, you're a wanna-be restaurant, I'm not coming back and you get 1 star. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant. If you're going to charge the prices you charge, EARN IT. Do ya like salt? I should have been skeptical when I noticed that we were the only people here at dinner time, but I let my blind faith get the best of me. I should also mention that this is my third time eating here. The first time, it wasn't that great. The second time it wasn't that great. But the third time... It still wasn't that great. I didn't actually know I had been here before, until my family reminded me. I blame the fact that I've had consistent memory loss ever since the abduction, but that's neither here nor there. All the sauces seemed to be gravy themed, which isn't really my style since I'm not someone's southern grandma reminiscing about the good old days before the confederates lost the civil war. You'd think that I'd know better than to order curry at an Italian restaurant. It was about as good as the Mexican food in Norway. The music was similarly disappointing. There was a brief glimmer of hope when the speakers seemed to accidentally play the first five seconds of ABBA's Mamma Mia, but the mistake was realized, and the boring lofi music resumed. My wife and I were looking forward to trying this place. Firstly, parking is pretty insufficient at this location (at least on a Saturday night), so I had to drive around a bit. Things smelled really good once we were inside and seated. Essentially, though, that's as far as we got. There was a large party that was likely taking up all of the employees' time. We sat for 15 mins before getting waters. After 10 more minutes my wife went to remind someone we were waiting and the person apologized profusely. But then we waited another 15 with no attention at all; no menus, drink order, etc. At that point we figured things wouldn't get any better so we let them know we were leaving. This restaurant was highly recommended to me by my cousins. I ordered out from them several nights. One night indulging in the pan seared salmon, couscous, brussels sprouts and truffle fries. Another night ordering a sampling of appetizers from the Bruschetta and Smoked Salmon Carpaccio to the Melon Prosciutto Bites and Artichokes. The food was outstanding! I also highly recommend ordering from them due to their extensive drink delivery options. They came in clutch when I needed a bottle of Prosecco to top of some aperol spritz's. I'd noticed this place before, located in the middle of an apartment complex, and judging from the outside, I did not think it was worth a trip. I am glad a couple friends told me to try it! So, we went for dinner recently with a group of friends, most of them also new to Aperitivo. Once inside, I was surprised to notice how welcoming and bright the place is; the atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff friendly. It really feels like a little neighborhood bistro. The menu is very international, with offerings from France (boeuf bourguignon!), Asia, Italy. My risotto was very creamy and tasty with big chunks of mushrooms. Everything was delicious and we had a hard time voting on the best entree between all of us. I tasted the beef bourguignon, the salmon and the peanut curry, liked them all, hard to have a favorite. They also have a nice cocktail menu, and overall, prices are very reasonable, especially considering the very generous portions (except for the salmon, not as big). The only slight disappointment was with the desserts, but I must admit we are a group of French women and quite picky when it comes to crème Brûlée or Flan since we make it at home. I went here with a friend of mine in the middle of the day, hoping it wouldn't be too busy as I expected it to be on the busier side due to the fact it's by a brewery and apartments, but no. They had a few customers but it took them forever to take our order. The prices of the meals you get don't correspond with the quality. We ordered a side of hummus and pita, a Caesar salad, and a pasta dish. The chicken in the Caesar salad both tasted and had the texture of school cafeteria food. The pasta dish tasted like it came from a can of off brand chef Boyardee. The only good tasting thing was the hummus, which probably came from a sabra hummus container. Another thing that threw me off was the atmosphere, I don't know how else to describe it as feeling like I was a character being controlled in the sims 4. The atmosphere wasn't cozy like the pictures may suggest, it felt bland, uncomfortable. I wouldn't really recommend, I also think the pasta dish gave my friend food poisoning. read more

They have a delicious and healthy variation of food, going from seafood like calamari, which turned out to be very good, salads and bread. I had a WONDERFUL experience at Aperitivo. I was visiting my cousin in Boulder and even she had never been here so we decided to try it out for lunch after I landed and I am so glad that we did. I had a delicious and comforting chicken noodle soup with a fresh and tasty turkey sandwich that came with a side of fruit. My cousin also enjoyed her white bean and kale soup and spinach and strawberry salad with grilled chicken. It was the perfect lunch; light yet filling and very very good. I've been looking for a great café spot to read, sip coffee, and eat a delicious breakfast within Gunbarrel. This place answered my prayers. It is a dine-in spot, but also a place to grab coffee on the go. The décor is contemporary with an old wooden piano as a nice touch to contrast with the modern element. There's chill music usually playing and the place is basked in sunlight as the outer walls are large windows. Outdoor seating is available as well. Service is very attentive as the staff checks in on you regularly and refills your waters. You can usually spot the owners working the place as well. They are very friendly as they like to in check on the customers as well as professional coming from an extensive background of restaurant experience. The menu speaks for itself. Fresh ingredients with just the right portions that are presented well. I highly recommend the Bangkok eggs benedict or the breakfast skillet. Coffee is very high quality. This place will definitely be a regular, local spot for me. If you're on this side of Boulder its worth the visit. read more
