What a fantastic find! 'The Local' lives up to its name -- packed with friendly locals, a welcoming vibe, and even a corner selling Powerball tickets and their own merch. You immediately feel like you're part of the neighborhood. And of course... you've got to enjoy a sandwich in Sandwich! Our daughter recommended this spot after loving it during a visit with a friend, so we made a point to stop by on our way to Provincetown. We're so glad we did. The food was delicious, the service was quick, and every staff member we met was genuinely warm. It absolutely lived up to the hype. If you're anywhere near Cape Cod, this place is worth the detour. Save it on your map -- your taste buds will thank you!

We have eaten at the Local maybe at least once a month over the last year and have been so happily surprised just about every time with the great and unique flavors offered and the wonderful portions as well. Everything is always extremely fresh or just made and they have not made a single error on any of our choices. They've really been a great story for Sandwich's dining experiences. They have had a great area behind the bar of smaller tables to just give you that taste of the Cape.

Went here before the storm with my boyfriend. We got drinks and fish tacos. Everything was tasty. We sat at the bar and service was good---friendly, helpful and speedy. Would def come again---cute little spot!

First time here after a skating competition Went with the other parents The steak tips were tender and tasted great The pizza was huge and was surprisingly good

    Ribeye sandwich with tater tots

We stumbled upon a lunch spot that shines brighter than my nieces smile at Christmas, with grub that's utterly fantastic and waitstaff who bring the enthusiasm party. The menu's got some serious bragging rights. My husband kicked off with a seafood bisque so loaded with sea creatures it was like an oceanic treasure hunt in a bowl, totally exceeding expectations. He followed it up with the classic New England fave, fish and chips, paired with a DownEast peach mango cider that's like a summer vacation in a glass - a match made in heaven. I went for the ribeye steak sandwich with tater tots, which was so tender, juicy, and divine. The homemade horseradish mayo was the real MVP, leaving a lasting impression that said 'you deserve better than bland snacks'. I capped it off with a blueberry lemonade so revitalizing and vodka-infused, it made me forget we're supposed to adult afterwards, proving that sometimes indulgence is just what the doctor ordered.

I usually have low expectations of seasonal establishments but I along with the 19 other guys who came with me for a bachelor party were blown away. The food was all we talked about this weekend. The fajitas should compete with chilis, they were flavorful and nice portion, the chicken and waffles was hot crispy and the sauce was delicious, and the burger was solid with their own sauce. The wings with the local hot sauce should compete with any wings in the cape. If you are in the area check them out. The server was super friendly and kind to all of us, super attentive. And it was a cute little spot, clean some updates.

An extensive menu with so many tasty options - it was hard to choose! A healthy pour for my Manhattan, too. The server was so gracious with all of our requests. A family place and a great place for friends to meet!

It did take time also to be asked for our drink/food order but once our server came around she was very nice and apologetic for the wait. We were able to get an app quicker than the food since we ordered fried pickles as that was the quickest item to get out to us. The fried pickles were thickly sliced with the perfect amount of breaded batter and the dipping sauce was perfect. I ordered the steak quesadillas and they were very good, I did ask for jalapeños and that made it much better.

We were seated right away, though the high-top tables near the door were freezing; guests with winter jackets and hats looked like they were braving the arctic. Our waitress didn't come by for about 15 minutes, which we didn't mind initially. When she arrived, she seemed a bit awkward. We ordered drinks and asked about the $9 chowder, specifically if it came in a bowl or cup. She confidently said it was a "bigggg giant bowl" and suggested we split it. When the chowder finally arrived, we were disappointed. I may have counted three small potatoes in my bowl, and the crackers seemed to take up most of the space. If you're craving chowder in Plymouth, there are many better and more reasonably priced options. We are new homeowners and cook lovely meals daily, so the few times we go out these days, we really look forward to enjoying the atmosphere and getting exactly what we are paying for. We're not overly fancy--pubs and taverns are our jam. Sitting at the bar, we finally enjoyed our meals. The bar staff were great, and the actual meal itself was VERY good. However, it seemed like if you're not a "regular," the attention and welcoming feel can be inconsistent unless you're seated at the bar. In short: good food, okay bar service, but inconsistent front-of-house experience.

We also tried the meatloaf, and it genuinely reminded us of our grandmother's from years ago -- comforting, hearty, and full of flavor. That's not something you find everywhere. Even in the middle of winter, the place had a warm, lively vibe. We ended up having a great conversation with someone we later found out was the owner -- just chatting about everyday life.
