We made pit stop at Tree House brewing as we entered Cape Cod on a rainy dreary day. Location right on Town Neck beach and Scusset harbor. Parking is very tricky with about ten spots in front of brewery. Also town beach paid parking right next door. The place was bustling on both floors. The main floor set up for order pickups and merchandise. There was a small pizza place as well The tasting room is on the second floor with nice view of the beach and harbor. The brewery provides indoor & outdoor seating but inside was very tight on a rainy day. Standing room only for many patrons. Full selection of Tree House beers and canned cocktails. There is a steady rotation of excellent IPAs including Jjjulius on our visit. read more

My husband and I are already big Tree House fans, but this was our first time visiting the Cape location, and it definitely didn't disapoint. The brewery is right on the beach, so you have stunning oceanfront views from basically every seat. There's a bunch of outdoor seating (which is kind of shaded, but was still sooo hot in July), a really cool tap room upstairs, and one of the best brewery merch stores I've seen on the ground floor. We visited on 4th of July weekend, so the minimal parking next the brewery was totally full. Luckily, there's an overflow lot with a shuttle van about 5 minutes down the road. It was pretty tricky to find however, so be sure to ask the staff in the on-site parking lot for specific directions if you need to get there. They serve all the same great beer you expect from Tree House, plus they have a nice little cocktail bar outside, so there's something for everyone. I really liked the Cape Hound and the Rum Punch. They also have great pizzas and lobster rolls, which are a bit pricey but worth the splurge in my opinion. You can also pick up cans to go here, and because Tree House doesn't distribute otherwise, that's a huge win for any locals in the area. Great spot to visit on your trip to Cape Cod. Fantastic location right on the water at Cape Cod Bay. Main building is two levels with a bar on each level. Big beer menu list if you love IPAs. I don't so not a lot left. They DID have one porter that was only served at the lower bar, which was closed. Really? 8 IPAs upstairs and you choose to put the porter downstairs? Whatever. No ambers, no reds. No N/A sodas or other drinks except Treehouse products which included a few seltzers. Food is set up in out buildings off the patio. Pizza was by the slice only and is really good if you like New Haven style. My wife thought it tasted like Tombstone so to each their own on that. They also had lobstah rolls available with their "treehouse style" butter dip that had a spicy flavor. No other food except bags of kettle chips. Outdoor seating is great if the weather cooperates. Canopies provide some shade. Plenty of seating indoors especially when the patio gets full. Overall we found the location and setting to be stellar, the food to be limited, and the beer variety anemic. Still worth a stop if in the area. Parking is very limited but they have a remote lot with a shuttle bus. read more

I love this place. It holds a special place in my heart because I came here for the first time on a first date with my now boyfriend. He lives nearby so we walk over often for beer and canned cocktails and for their amazing pizza! I am a bit of a pizza snob being from NY but their product is AMAZING! I recently visited One Sandwich with my family and asked for a straw for water for my toddler. The staff's response was incredibly rude--they crossed their arms, barely looked at us, said 'no straws" and the other guy at the cocktail bar trailer even yelled, "We're saving the ocean!" For a basic request, a simple "no" would suffice--but the disrespect is unacceptable. If you give takeout containers and disposable plates for orders to stay, yet get nasty to customers who just simply want a straw for their kid, maybe think about how that comes across. Also, maybe don't advertise "family friendly" if you're going to yell at people when they ask for a straw for a baby. I do have to say most of all the other staff I interacted with was lovely, just those guys in the cocktail trailer could use some work on customer service. read more

I've been drinking Treehouse since the days when you'd have to stand in line with a growler for hours at the original location. I did not enjoy those lines, but I did enjoy the beer! I hate to say this, and I'm not a contrarian, but it doesn't quite hit the same these days. I don't know, maybe it's because they're brewing so many massive batches, or maybe it's because there are so many great breweries these days, but what was once one of my favorite beers just sort of tasted like a lot of other beers, some of which are local to me and I'd take over this. That's not to say it's bad! It's definitely not and I still enjoyed it, but I didn't need to have a second. I won't take away from their facilities though. They do build beautiful tap rooms where you can sit and enjoy the scenery for a while. This taproom has two bars, main floor where there is mostly just merchandise and one long table, and upstairs where most of the seating is. We sat down on the outdoor beer garden. I really wanted to sit upstairs, but my bad leg wasn't at 100% and I didn't feel up to it. It wasn't until we left that we noticed the elevator! I wish they had signage to make it more clear, or that staff mentioned it to me (I do walk with a cane and clearly struggled on the crushed shells outside.) The parking lot appears to be shared between treehouse and beach goers. There is one accessible space in front of treehouse. That was fine at this time because they weren't slammed, but surely more than one disabled person might like to go to Treehouse at a time. read more

We made a pact: if the weather held, we'd head to Tree House Brewing in Sandwich. The skies delivered--sunny and crisp--so we set off and arrived just before noon. Lucky us, we snagged a parking spot and queued waiting in the brew line. With drinks in hand, we wandered out to the beer garden where my husband scored us some pepperoni slices--simple, satisfying, and surprisingly good. He went for Evolution of Citra Part Two, described as "Pouring a soft clementine hue, notes of white grapefruit, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and mango smoothie lift out of the glass." He gave it a solid thumbs-up. I chose Curiosity One Hundred Fifty Six, an IPA that "pours an opaque yellow with a billowing head of sticky white foam. On top of a creamy base, saturated notes of piney mangoes, juicy nectarines, and peach smoothies cover the palate." It was every bit as dreamy as it sounds. We sipped and snacked while gazing out over the ocean, watching boats drift through the canal. The whole experience--two beers and three slices--came in under $35. Not bad for a mini seaside escape. We're glad we were there in April, because parking was crazy, and the crowds quite large, even though were there before 5PM. The pizza was delicious as advertised - thin crust and crispy pepperoni - and the beer was also very good. Shocking to see a Treehouse location with such a low rating but that didn't scare us off. The Charlton location has been so consistent with our frequent visits we figured how bad could it be?? Parking: ok I get it, you can't just park on site unless you happen to snag one of the 20 or so available parking spots. But fear not, there's a FREE shuttle service less than a mile away. If you go to their website they even show you detailed instructions of where it is. After I parked the car I must have waited a total of 3 min before the shuttle arrived. Another 2 min to get back to the brewery. That's how long it would take me to walk from the parking lot to the main entrance at their other location. It's really not that serious people. The facility is beautiful. Of course the beer is amazing. My server was super friendly and let me try a few samples before making a decision. There are two tap rooms - one upstairs, one downstairs. Something must have happened shortly after I got my first beer because the line upstairs was insane. I went downstairs and it seemed like that one was closed but I walked up and they were serving so idk what happened there. Anyway, the views are stunning on the deck but the bugs were biting so we went inside for our second beer. It really wasn't a big deal because there are so many windows, it's like being outside. Cocktails are available outside if beer isn't your thing. I can't comment on the food but if you're worried about it, bring your own! Overall this is a beautiful facility. Yes parking might be a concern for some but it wasn't for us. A small inconvenience is worth it for access to some of the best beer ever made. read more

Tree House has taken Craft Beers to a new level. The locations they pick are amazing! This one on the beach is sooo Chill! Location, Location, Location. One recommendation, the next one is at Ski Resort! When you do I want a personal invite! The beer is legendary, I ordered the Whisper... I had to say it 3 times before they heard me! Very good, great taste great color! One thing I didn't expect was an Airstream serving cocktails. So I had a Pain Killer in memory of Pool Bar Jim who passed away this year in Hilton Head SC. RIP - PBJ One of my sons got the Wafflenanner, he said it was crazy good! We wanted a snack, so we got a warm and a cold lobster roll. I love a warm lobster roll, and normally I don't like the cold, but theirs is pretty good. They don't put very much mayo on it. The views upstairs are amazing, and down below they have many tables to sit at that are covered, and several chairs facing the water. Inside down stairs they have a shop, and you can also place an order of beer to go and it will be ready when you leave. For those that are traveling remember to bring an extra suitcase! Amazing spot BUT NOTE THE PARKING: there are 10~ spots reserved for the brewery that often fill up, even on off days. The $20 lot next door is available, it's for the beach. Don't get mad at Treehouse about the price, it is set by and goes to the town. There is also parking down the road w/ a shuttle, not sure of the frequency of rides. Beer is obv 10/10, cocktails are also great, but the pizza is such a nice surprise!! It's classic crispy New Haven style - not burnt. Pro tip - add the hot honey. Dog, baby, and group friendly. Treehouse brewing is probably one of the most popular breweries in Massachusetts, with multiple locations to choose from. The Cape location is by far the most beautiful one (might be out of all the breweries I've visited!) beer is always great at treehouse- and they have mocktails, cocktails to try as well if you're not into beer. Grab your beverage and wander outside with seats alongside the beach and a deck overlooking the ocean- there's no bad seats. They usually have pizza or other food options too! So enjoy your beverage and hang out for a bit. definitely worth the pit stop! read more

Terrible service on our last visit. With no one before me, I waited ten minutes for an order of four take-home beers. Finally, someone went in to check on the delay. Then we waited AN HOUR for two pizzas. Even worse, after 30 min., when I complained at the order desk, they said they later had stopped taking orders when the back-long reached an hour. I said they should have warned all customers when the delay reached 30 min. and we probably would have not made the order. My wife and I went out of our way while on a trip to visit Treehouse Brewing, as I'd heard about its popularity. Safe to say it did not disappoint in the slightest! When on trips we visit many breweries to gather stickers, see new places, etc and this was by far our favorite while in the New England area. Aside from being right on the beach, I tried their Julius beer since the bartender told me it's what made them famous, it was extremely flavorful and smooth without any bitterness whatsoever. Long time fan of Tree House and have visited all of their locations multiple times. This review is for the Sandwich location only. Reading through the reviews of this location before posting was quite entertaining, especially the low ones. If you're not familiar with the hoops the owners had to jump through to try and get this place up and running then you should probably take a second to look it up. They faced multiple contests and suits despite donating 10s of thousands to the local community and clearly delineating a plan that promoted conservation of the area at a place that had previously failed to survive despite being one of the best pieces of real estate on the cape. While it's no excuse for the chaos, their first couple years had to be approached with kid gloves and is the reason why they had reservations, wacky ticketing systems and strict processes that felt overwhelming at times. Opening in the middle of a pandemic didn't help either as the rules for restaurants were changing by the minute. The good news is that's all over now and you no longer need a reservation, tickets or the blood of a virgin to get a beer now. Parking is an issue and will probably always be an issue since it was an issue long before TH bought this place. They have about 10 spots along the road that fill up and never seem to empty. The few spots they have in the town lot are for to-go pickup only. Your options are to pay $20 to park in the town lot, money that goes to the town and not to Tree House, or park 1.2 miles down the road at the marina overflow lot on Ed Moffitt Drive and take a shuttle/walk. This is not clear on their website for reasons that are opaque but most likely related to the town not wanting them to advertise shuttle services as people can also use this service to use the town beach and they'll lose the parking revenue. The drinks: The beer is top notch as you probably well know and is the same as all of their other Mass locations since they are all brewed in Charlton and trucked to their other spots. The tap list is shorter than other locations, and the to go beer is done by 15 minute reservation window like it is in Tewks. If you're there for pours and want to grab some to go cans on your way out, you can do it easily by ordering online, or in person at the merch counter but if you're coming just for cans it's best to use their designated pickup parking spots. They have coffee, nonalcoholic seltzers and mocktails for the designated drivers and you're welcome to take any of your own nonalcoholic beverages. The food: I went specifically for the lobster rolls but also got a pizza for my son. You have to order all food at the ordering tent. The pizza was advertised as taking an hour and it took almost exactly an hour. It's New Haven style which means thin and charred crust. If you don't like charred pizza then this style is probably not for you. Overall, it's not Sally's but it's a really good representation of the style IMHO. The lobster rolls were really tender with almost zero chew on any of the meat (claw or tail). I felt like there was a little too much butter on the hot and buttered style, but I know many folks that would love it dripping like it was. They took about 20-25 mins to prepare after ordering. Although neither was the "best I've ever had", both the pizza and lobster rolls were top notch given that they are a brewery and not a restaurant and I would happily have them both again. If neither are your thing, bring your own food and enjoy the beautiful scenery. read more

Tree House is the place to be on a summer evening at the Cape! The vibes are awesome and the view of the water can't be matched. I came with a big group and we got our drink tickets over a week in advance. I was a bit worried it was going to be crazy crowded, but I heard that they have a cap on the number of guests, so it wasn't too bad and we were able to secure a picnic bench in the shade. There's also additional room indoors if the weather is bad. Since I'm not a beer drinker, I went with the cocktails and tried three different kinds, all of which I enjoyed. The Caddie Cooler was very refreshing and was probably my favorite. My friends all really enjoyed their beers as well. Still my favorite Tree House location although it's smaller than other locations! The view is stunning ; both indoor and outdoor seatings have this beachy, chill ambiance that matches the view. They have a range of draft pours to choose from and everything we tried did not disappoint. They also have pizza and lobster rolls for food options but I did not get to try them this time - the pizza looks great and huge tho!
