It's been a few years since I ate here (I remember it was good food but fairly basic) so this review is for drinks, service and ambience. It's a stylish spot with nice decor. We sat at the bar for drinks, service was a little chaotic but everyone was very nice and we weren't in a hurry so that was fine. They have a good selection of drinks that are reasonably priced for the area. Food prices were reasonable too. It was a cold day and we were walking through Williamsburg looking for a place to get a snack and a coffee. Cafe Colette looked cute and inviting. They only had seating in the porch in front which doesn't have central heat but the heat lamps kept us warm enough and the service was friendly. - chai latte - 5/5, delicious - latte - 4/5, only downgraded because it was strangely served in a water glass which did not keep the coffee warm on such a cold day - eggs and hash - 5/5, the waitress said their hash browns were unique and delicious and they sure were! think about a rectangular block of mashed potatoes deep fried so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Very unique and yes very delicious! the bathrooms were super clean and nice and we had a peek around the back inside where there's a lovely little enclosed garden like area with seating where no one was being seated that day but I could imagine it being the perfect setting for a birthday brunch or girls afternoon treat. I really love the ambiance here . The place is really beautiful and the servers here are so attentive and kind . But my three stars is more geared towards the food . I got the fish and chips which was $27 bucks . Fine that sounds about right . But cutting into the fish there was no seasoning . No depth . Just a sprinkling of salt and pepper on the top . So I had to make it taste like something with hot sauce and Mayo and ketchup (being that I'm dairy free ) it's a cute place and my friend really enjoyed her burger . But I think personally I wouldn't be back . I would need more food options to venture into . But it's a beautiful place . Really cute brunch spot. I wasn't feeling too hungry, so I got the half portion of the French Toast. I thought it was really neat that they offered a half portion, I've never seen that anywhere else! The French Toast was absolutely delicious. Everything from the texture to the maple syrup was great. I also got the hashbrowns, which I didn't realize came in block form. Never seen that before! However, I was just reviewing my bank statement and noticed that I was charged $115 by this restaurant for brunch for two, which feels very off. I ordered eggs Benedict with salmon, my friend ordered French toast with a side of avocado. Two mimosas and one coffee. Based on the menu prices, the total should have been closer to around $60. Cute spot to grab lunch and drinks. We didn't have reservations but we were able to be seated with 15 mins on Labor Day. I love how airy and open inside feels even though it's a small spot. In terms of food I ordered the cheeseburger which wasn't bad but I didn't love however the French fries were really good. Thick cut slices of bread that were the right amount of crispy on the outside, moist and flavorful on the inside. Not too sweet with a nice cinnamon flavor and the berries were fresh. This is a go-to of mine when friends are in town for a nice brunch. It's a little tight, so I do recommend either going at off-peak times or making a reservation in advance - though I have only been on the weekend for brunch. The food and service is great, albeit sometimes slow to refill waters. I usually get the quiche, though they have now replaced it with a new menu item that is just as great. Came here before with my friend and really enjoyed it. We came back today for his birthday and I went early to tell the employee working that it was my friends birthday and to please come out with a little chocolate cake so I can sing him happy birthday. Server Saskia from Cafe Colette was amazingly attentive. Outdoor and indoor ambiance was great, especially the photography/art on the wall to the restrooms. I recommend you take your time enjoying each photograph and its story! The cap with almond milk was delish and so was the oat milk latte. Bonus both came with hearts via foam art! We got the Norwegian eggs, Benedict, salmon bowl, and French toast with berries to share. I believe the salmon bowl needed just a tad more dressing...however all was cooked to perfection and enjoyed thoroughly! I highly recommend the French Toast with fresh berries as an app or entree.
