    Cafe con Horchata w/oatmeal

Cute urban coffee shop, open & enough sitting inside and outside. Parking a bit smaller but they do have street parking. We got 4 Cafe con Horchata w/oatmeal. It was a delicious creamy and flavorful. Juan seems to be by himself but was very efficient w/taking orders and making them. This will be our spot when we are in town.

This Latin coffee shop in the heart of downtown Reno is a hidden gem and having its own parking lot is a huge plus! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting perfect for relaxing with a good drink. I tried three drinks: the Strawberry Horchata, which was creamy and refreshing; the Banana Bread Latte (hot with oat milk) which truly tasted like warm banana bread in a cup; and the Pumpkin Horchata Latte (cold with oat milk) smooth with a light pumpkin flavor. For dessert the chocolate cake slice was rich and satisfying and The Maria's bread which was banana bread topped with Cajeta was absolutely delicious. There was a bit of a wait for my order but it was totally worth it once everything arrived. Customer service was excellent. Overall creative drinks, tasty desserts, and easy parking make this spot a must-visit in Reno!

It had been awhile since my last visit so I took a friend who was visiting from out of town. We were greeted warmly by our barista. The Cubano and cafe con leche were perfect, and the Tico Toast was perfect as always. Why had I waited so long??

Just tried out this locally owned coffee shop down the street from work for the first time! Wow! First we were greated with a warm welcome and smiles. You could feel the eagerness to serve us from the second we walked in the door to having our order taken and coffees handed to us. Absolutely love this. They make some great Lattes. I ordered the Pablo which has pistachio and matcha in it. I was blown away with the combo. It had the perfect balance of pistachio and matcha with coffee. I have yet to find a place that can pull this off. I've always been a fan of matcha but most didn't offer it with a coffee base and when I added a shot of espresso to it, it just never did it justice. But this drink is exactly what I've been looking for. I felt like this recipe was made just for me lol. I love that it is locally owned. Such a cute little spot too. I love all of the wall murals they have inside and it had a cozy vibe that you can sit and enjoy your coffee. There were even people doing work on their computers while enjoying their coffee. If you're looking for the next best coffee shop in town you need to check them out.

The service was great and the coffee was even better. It's a cozy cafe - great for a chat or to work. We look forward to stopping by again when we're in town. The cafe con leche was our favorite.

I can't get enough of this place! Go check it out if you haven't already. If you have, go again! The coffee, the vibes and the service... all amazing.

The ambiance of this coffee shop is very homey. I felt at peace, the lighting was perfect. I had the strawberry horchata and jalapeño grilled cheese sandwich. I would rate the drink a 10/10, the jalapeño sandwich was good as well but next time I would ask for less jalapeños.

This coffee shop is so quaint, inviting, and relaxing. The baristas are friendly. They have drinks you can't find at most coffee shops since they are Latin-inspired; there is even a drink with rose water! Along with coffee, they have pastries, accessories, and delicious looking cake.

I went to Cafe con Papi the other day for coffee and to try one of their advertised Cuban Sandwiches. I had a small regular coffee. It was rich and strong just the way I like it. The Cuban Sandwich although very tasty (and it did taste like a Cuban Sandwich), it was more of a Cuban Pannini when compared to the size of a real Cuban Sandwich. You'll know what I mean if you ever had a Cuban Sandwich before. Anyway, the place has a private parking area. It is cozy for reading, working on your laptop, studying or socializing with friends. They are locally owned so they will always have my support. My only constructive criticism; they need to improve their service time as it is a little too slow right now.

Supporting local coffee roasters and coffee shops is imperative, and you will always find something delicious and distinctive! As a suggestion from one of my colleagues, we went to Cafe Con Papi for a quick caffeine boost. She suggested I try the Cafe de Olla (which I got hot but she mentioned that cold is amazing too), and it was DELICIOUS! Great spices, well balanced, and it helped warm me up during the cold afternoon. Note that the Cafe de Olla is a labor of love and is brewed in a single batch, so the earlier you get it, the better! As another note, I came back a few days after and got the Cafe con Agave (iced) and I could recommend it enough, it's the best coffee I've had! Nestled nearby the old Bavarian world, this coffee shop is cute with great theming and wonderful seating areas. A big plus! I noted the pastries for sale, at a decent price too. All-in-all a wonderful experience and I can't wait to try some more drinks!

Always a go time here. I stopped by after a doctor's appointment to get a bite, coffee and a treat. It was a week day and it was very.calm and quiet in there. Perfect atmosphere to take time for myself surrounded by nice Latin music. I had a Cuban sandwich and café con leche. Both were very good. I grabbed a mango cheesecake to go. It was delicious and I will do it again soon.

When you search for Cuban food Cafe Con Papi does not show up so I didn't know it existed until I drove by yesterday. I had to stop and try it today. Inside small quaint cafe with great murals on the inside and out. A few casual seats around the cafe and bar. Great sweets and pastries to go with your coffee and a Cuban sandwich on the menu. We had the Cafe con Leche and the Cafe con Platona. Both were exceptional. If you like banana flavor the Platona is great. We also got a pastry which was very nice and fresh. I had to try the Cubano Sandwich and though I've had better, in South Florida, it was very good. Wish I knew where they got their bread from - love making sandwiches at home out of Cuban Bread. Highly recommend stopping by for a bit of flavor, something different. You won't be disappointed.

This is one of the more unique coffee shops in Reno. They specialize in Cuban-inspired coffees, my favorites include the Cafe de Olla (especially iced on a hot day!) and the Cafe con Platano. I love the large plants and foliage around the cafe that soften up the space. It's never too crowded so there's usually space to work. There's also an outdoor patio that's lovely, and the bright murals on the building make it more inviting.

We got a chocolate croissant (only decent thing I got, but don't compare it to an artisanal made croissant where it's a dark golden brown with flaky crispy buttery layers). Their "croissants" are more like anemic, soft, moist bread. Also, got a cheese Danish. Starbucks sells a better cheese Danish than this place. The Danish was dry and hard and the center filling looked like it was pre-made frozen and just placed on top of the Danish. Finally, the worst of the worst, I got a personal size dutch apple crumble pie. Now THIS looked like it was made from scratch and I had hopes for this one. However, I took a piece of the crumble topping and ate it. It had an unusual funny taste. Almost like it was made with lavender. Didn't taste quite right. Then, when I got back to my hotel, I really dug into it. It wasn't just the crumble that was off, but the entire pie tasted of rancid spoiled butter. I had to spit it out, it was horrible. I can't believe they would serve that. I don't know how old that thing was, but they need better quality control. The only people I could see giving this place 5 stars on the food, are locals. Tahoe is behind when it comes to quality high end artisanal pastries. I have yet to find a decent coffee shop. Their sign boasts "Voted Best in Tahoe", but you'll see that almost every spot here has the same sign, from ice cream shops to bakeries to whatever else because there's literally nothing here. If you're from a big city, don't come here. Service was pleasant. No complaints.
