I decided to stop by a local coffee shop that uses Kaldi's Coffee beans, which I already love, so I was really excited to try it. I ordered a caramel and toffee nut iced latte, and it was super good. It wasn't overly sweet at all, which I appreciated, and the coffee itself was super smooth. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by who I assume was the owner, and she was so kind and was also genuinely excited that I came in. The service was also really quick, and she even had me try my drink before leaving just to make sure I liked it. They had a lot of other options too like ice cream, pastries, smoothies, and even bubble tea, but I stuck with my iced latte this time. There weren't a ton of syrup flavors, but they had all the classic options, which still worked for me. This is a small cafe right next to the federal reserve. It is perfect if you want something in between a full breakfast sit down meal and a coffee kiosk. The owner is likely from the Philippines as there were multiple references to it in the artwork. They also had medals from their martial arts. We stayed nearby at the Athletic Club and this was the closest place to step out and get some breakfast. They had delicious freshly made sandwiches and coffee, as well as ice cream for later when it was 100 degrees. Ordered an iced strawberry white chocolate latte with oat milk--the strawberry white chocolate latte was sweet, and the coffee was strong, but my one star off is because the strawberry tasted rather artificial. I wonder if the strawberry came from the powders behind the counter. Service was normal, ambiance was mostly quiet too. Some families and friends were there to buy the handmade ice cream. I'm limiting my sugar intake so I can't partake in all the lovely things but her iced coffee and cold brew are so lovely and smooth and they have a decent variety of sugar free flavors.
