Service. Tried the Gooey looey. Super sweet. The lady who I think is the owner gave me a water. So charitable of her! I ordered a turkey sandwich to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just a cute spot. Cute decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Best coffee shop in Downtown St. Louis! The ube latte is the best plus they have really yummy desserts. Don't forget to try their home made ice creams, the best! The owners are awesome and so friendly. I will definitely go back when I am in the area.

From Maine visiting and this place is a sweet little gem! Lovely people and lattes. And you won't regret a milkshake with homemade ice cream

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Adorable small cafe/coffee shop in downtown STL, you can instantly tell it's family owned and operated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The young man working at the counter was efficient and kind. He served up my drink and treats with a smile and was very sweet and patient helping a foreign elderly couple behind me get their desired breakfast sandwich. I went with a classic iced americano- decaf, which instantly hit the spot on a hot and humid Midwest day. In the bakery case they had some delicious looking sweet treats in the form of "bars" so of course I ordered a flight of all four to taste test. Here's my ranking- 1. Lemon Bar (if you like gooey and underbaked sweet things you'll love this, tart sharp lemon flavor but very very sweet) 2. Butter Cake (super rich and decadent, melts in your mouth but, be warned it's hard to take more than 2 bites of this at a time) 3. Classic Fudge Brownie (dense and thick with a deep rich chocolate flavor, could easily eat the whole piece) 4. Cookies and Cream Brownie (just skip this one, nothing special just a thick layer of cream cheese icing on top of the classic fudge brownie)

I have come here before work a few times and imo this cafe definitely beats Starbucks. The staff is always friendly and makes great drinks. I have yet to try their ice cream but their breakfast sandwiches are great. Their seasonal options are also quite interesting and they do offer rewards. I do wish they had lavender syrup though. My go-to is a banana muffin with matcha frappe.

Advertisements online talked about "rolling out the red carpet" for mom, including receiving a glass of champagne, a hand-selected personal gift from the team, and a special Art Deco Goddess coloring sheet for the kids. However, our Mother's Day experience was not special at all. I went with my husband, 2 young kids, and my mother. When the waitress greeted us, she wasn't very friendly and didn't even say Happy Mother's Day when there was 2 mothers at the table. She didn't mention anything about the free champagne...we had to ask for it. We did not receive a hand-selected personal gift. There was also no special coloring sheet for the kids - we were just coloring on the kids menu. Nothing about our experience was special. Next year, I will pick somewhere else to go for Mother's Day. I felt more like a burden here than someone to be celebrated. The food was still decent. I got the pesto chicken sandwich with the bird seed salad. The bird seed salad was the star. Loved the poppyseed vinaigrette dressing and the bruleed apple slice (never seen that before - how unique and cool!). The pesto sandwich was a bit difficult to eat - while the chicken was moist, the bread was very crusty and dry which made the overall sandwich very dry. It was kinda hard to get through. I ended up taking it home and reheating it in the microwave and it was a little better after doing that because it allowed the pesto to soak into the bread and moisten it up a bit. I ordered a scoop of Zanzibar chocolate ice cream with hot fudge and this was truly amazing. The kids menu could definitely use some work - seems more like an after thought. It isn't even posted online to view in advance. I can't remember all the choices, but it was limited. I remember 2 different peanut butter sandwiches available, Mac and cheese, and a "pizza" on focaccia type bread. I put pizza in quotes because most kids I know are picky and this isn't a traditional pizza so we couldn't order this because our kids probably wouldnt eat it especially if the bread on the pizza was as dry and crusty as it was on my pesto sandwich. We ended up ordering the Mac and cheese, which was actually really good and the kids liked it. Just wish there were more options. What was really disappointing though is they served apple slices on the plate with the core still in it...serving apple core to a child is a safety hazard and just plain lazy.

There's a cute little gift shop next door if you're looking for some St. Louis souvenirs, too. Ordering feels a bit chaotic, but it's part of the ambiance. Everyone is friendly and the staff is efficient and seemed to be adequately staffed for the long lines. Don't get intimidated by the chaos outside, they move pretty quick and the custard is so good! It definitely lives up to the hype in terms of popularity--the place was packed even at 10:30 PM, but the line moved quickly thanks to their efficient service. The concept is simple: the custard starts with a vanilla base, and you can customize it with a variety of toppings. They also offer a few other flavor options, so there's plenty to choose from. We tried a couple of different custards, and while they were good, I honestly didn't find them as exceptional as I expected given all the buzz. The flavors were enjoyable, but I felt they were a bit overpriced for what you get compared to other frozen dessert shops. One thing that surprised me was how quickly the custard started to melt, even before I had eaten much of it. Overall, it's worth trying if you're visiting St. Louis since it's such an iconic local spot, but for me, it didn't quite live up to the hype. It may be a beloved hometown favorite, but I'm not sure it's a must-visit destination for everyone.

Upon entering, we were greeted by the workers and my nose became filled with the sweet smells of waffle cones, and ice cream. They have so many different flavors to choose from. If you are undecided, ask for a sample before deciding which flavour suites you. Prices are reasonable, and there is plenty of seating inside to sit, or take a stroll through the neighbourhood and enjoy! I opted to get a waffle bowl with gooey butter cake and brown butter almond brittle. Both ice creams were delicious. The gooey butter cake had pieces of gooey butter cake, and the brown butter almond brittle had almond brittle pieces in it. It was sweet, yet salty, and savoury. The waffle bowl was crunchy, and sweet. I will definitely be back to try new flavours!
