This little cafe needs more attention... I mean you need to go and show this little cafe some love. Because their food is amazing! And the coffee is strong and flavorful without being bitter. I had the Shirred eggs... now I will admit, I thought I was ordering an egg bake dish but what I got was so much better. The baguette was so soft and fresh, obviously having been baked that morning. And when you're traveling you always have a Pastry with breakfast. We had the cream cheese pastry and it was also so fresh and was baked perfectly. We went for brunch. I had to try the Shirred Eggs and they were not only delicious but also very filling, served with slices of Baguette. We took home an assortment of the pastries to try, including the Cherry and a Chocolate croffin, fresh croissants, and several more. All were exquisite! The service was warm and friendly. We met the chef and her husband Phillipe who waited on us. And the cafe itself was filled with all kinds of interesting things to look at. We can't wait to go back and highly recommend this lovely cafe. read more

Wait!!! Did I finally find another good French place? Well yes I did!!! When you walk in it's almost like you walked into your mom's house. Great relaxing ambiance. The owner, a very nice French woman helped us. We ordered escargot, ham and cheese croissant. Traditional quiche, a chocolate avalanche as well as a Kouign Aman which is a sweet flaky desert. Everything was wonderful. Escargot were clean and fresh (no crunchy bits you get from lower quality escargots), and the oil and herbs sauce 100% French and brought me back to my childhood. The quiche was smooth and silky, not dry like you get at most places. Ham and cheese looked suspect when it got to the table but in this case looks were deceiving. It tasted amazing! Great French cafe on Treasure Island. I came here with my daughter to pick up breakfast. We ordered at the counter, then she went to play with some of the toys and books set up to entertain the kids while we waited for our food to be prepared. The space is almost cavernous, but it is comfortable. And the food (that I tried) is great! I had a cappuccino and a deluxe Parisian sandwich. Loved the quality of the butter used. My daughter ate up a bunch of chocolate and macarons. The quiche wasn't my favorite, but it was buttery and eggy, so I can't complain too much. Lots of parking out front. The best breakfast we've had in Florida since moving here a couple years ago! We were visiting St. Pete and ended up coming back every morning because it was that good. The escargot was rich, buttery, and garlicky with perfectly toasted baguette, and the Brie croissant was insanely generous with the most perfectly flaky, buttery pastry. Truly flawless croissants! We also had mimosas and a Bloody Mary, both excellent. Fiona, our server, was an absolute delight!! -- she even gave us a live performance of "La Vie en Rose".... such a special treat of French culture. The owner/chef Stéphane also came out to say hello, which was very nice. Both are originally from France, and you can really feel the authenticity and care in every detail. The owner/chef is freshly from France, and the food is always so delicious. They have plenty of seats indoors, but it is often very busy, so keep that in mind when choosing what time you'd like to eat. There a few tables outside for those of us who love to dine "au dehors" and there's always a nice breeze off the water, which is across the street. For those who like to take a short walk after a meal to improve digestion, there's a nice waterfront park across the street. My favorite dishes are the bateau-mouche and the shirred eggs. So French, so satisfying, so delicious!! We also come here just to buy their French bakery products made fresh here each day. My hub and I are both sensitive (not allergic) to gluten, so we were THRILLED to find a bakery making pastries from real French flour. French wheat has never been genetically modified to produce hardier or more wheat, so the gluten is entirely different than American wheat. I had a private medical practice in NYC for years, and learned from my European patients that they could eat wheat and drink milk in their country but not here in the U.S.! Who knew?? After researching why that would be so, we started buying our baked goods from an award-winning patisserie in Manhattan, who told us the secret to his success in competitions was using French flour! So if someone in your family has problems with gluten (but NOT if they actually have celiac disease!!), try real French croissants made with French flour. No headaches! No stomach problems! Went here twice with my daughters. They enjoyed the afogato and pan AU chocolate and avalanche (milk chocolate croissant). We also tried the bacon/egg/cheese croissant, ham/swiss croissant, and ham/brie croissant. Enjoyed everything. It wasn't fast food but we didn't mind bc the place was decorated well and the vibe was very friendly. It was a great stop for our vacation and will definitely return. A side of perfectly salty French butter for the baguette is a must have. The crepes are fantastic and the toppings, such as the lemon curd, are made in house. Lovely laid-back service, other patrons softly speaking in French, proper buttery fluffy croissants, and several authentic French food items on the menu that I haven't seen anywhere else. This isn't a fast food spot however, but more of a place to come to linger to have great conversation, coffee, and hearty food. You are even rewarded with a sliver of water views if sitting by the front window/door. They also have some delicious pastries to grab and go by the front register, including French mini cinnamon rolls and chocolate-filled rolled-up croissants pastries. We stopped in for dinner on a Thursday evening and we're surprised to be the only ones there. Even more surprised when we realized how incredible the meal was. This place is a gem. If seated facing the parking lot, you can actually see the water while dining from the comfort of the AC. The meals rotate regularly and all are true French cuisine. Good beer and wine selection. After riding bikes and driving past this fantastic little nook of delicious, my friend and I decided to stop in on our way to PAG for a late morning ride. "Ahh, a strip mall restaurant. We'll lower our expectations" could not have been more wrong. WOW, this place is YUMMY. Chef owned and operated, the space is quaint (small but cute) and feels like it has been there forever (in a good way only). We both ordered the shirred egg and lobster, and at a super reasonable price, too. I'm a bit miffed we haven't tried this special little nook because we thought "strip mall..." We were entirely wrong and you should go eat there because you'll love it. If I could offer one suggestion: I'd be happy to pay $5 extra for more lobster (the lobster portion was very balanced, I just extra-love lobster).
