    Bar area with friends

My husband hosted my 75th birthday here with 50+ of our closest friends and family. Ryan, owner and chef, could not have been more gracious as a host, or provided a more delicious buffet. Everything was perfect! He suggested a fantastic DJ who play great dance music. The food was amazing. From the perfectly done "huge" shrimp cocktail to the selection of side dishes, the beef and chicken were flavorful, juicy and tender. Nothing like you would normally have at a buffet. Our guests were amazed. Ryan even made my favorite white cake with white icing. The servers were so gracious and accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about this lovely restaurant.

Amazing Happy Hour! Jessica's infused cocktails are inspired. And Chef Ryan Steffensmeier knocked it out of the park with his beef crostini with house made pepper jam. And his Croque Monsieur with luscious egg yolk dip and Gruyère sauce on the side was crispy and decadent. We also topped it off with an order of the soup trio for a perfect evening. And that soup trio was out of this world. Thanks for offering such a fun option with your great food and a wonderful staff

    Duck Tortellini

Delicious food, nice ambiance and great service from Coco. We enjoyed soups for starters, then the duck tortellini and lamb meatball sub mains. All were delicious. Cant wait to go back to try the happy hour pork belly nachos and $4 drafts.

    Duck confit

Steak tartar was super fresh and so many options for topping each perfect bite. The cheeseburger Wellington was the star dish, perfectly cooked burger, crispy, flaky pastry, and the fries were some of the best I've had lately. Béarnaise sauce and the Gruyere sauce were perfect for dipping both the Wellington and fries. Duck confit was fall off the bone tender. Apple crumble cheesecake was light and creamy. Cute place, we will be back!

I can't believe we've missed this hidden gem. Everything was great. Server was outstanding, the place was decorated very nicely for the season. Then the food was great. The charcuterie board was excellent, the special elk also excellent. Then for dessert bananas foster. We will be back!

Excellent food and service. Easily one of my favorite meals in Dunedin and really Tampa.

First time here and it was perfect from start to finish. Jessica, my bartender/server, was amazing. She had suggestions from app to dessert, and was impeccable with her service throughout my meal. Though I did not indulge in the libations, the other guests were raving about her crafting skills. The food was everything you would want for a French Inspired establishment, and reminded this Cajun of being home again in Baton Rouge. Even the ambience of this lil cozy restaurant made everything even more perfect. Def will be back myself, and recommend to anyone looking for high quality cuisine in the Dunedin area!

Certainly a chef driven restaurant. Don't let the location of a strip mall fool you, it's beyond a tremendous experience. Food was amazing from start to finish. wine list was heavy on the French selections (it's a French cafe after all) but had some great domestic choices as well. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Our gluten allergies were acknowledged and selections for us were plentiful. Great dinner!!

Parlor House deserves all the accolades. This place is a diamond in the rough. I can see the care they take into their approach to their menu items, especially the specials. Jess is an amazing bartender/mixologist. She cares. She has crafted some really great holiday special drinks to enjoy. I especially liked the fireside old fashion. She brought Maple bitters from Virginia, especially to make this drink. Wellcrafted. Let's venture onto their soup flight. I can't say enough about the French onion... One of the best renditions I've had. Their broccoli and cheese is exceptional as well. You can tell they use high quality ingredients to make these soups. They put thought into the menu, the experience they want you to have and you can tell. Everyone we spoke to at the bar was a regular. They come back time and time again. This place is amazing.

It is a small cafe tucked behind a convenience store. This was about 10:20 on a Tuesday. It is a small but quaint cafe, only two tables were occupied, so seated right away. The server brought us waters and menus. We browsed the good number of items. Now I do love quiche, and it looked great, but my interest went to the Shirted Eggs. New to me. So I went for that. My wife chose the Veggie Omellette, but changed when they did not have Salsa. So she picked the Blueberry French Toast instead. We chatted for a bit and I took photos. Shortly our meals came. I thought the Shirred Eggs would be scrambled but they were added to the bacon and heavy cream, unbroken, so cooked but juicy, and topped with cheddar. It was delicious. And the warm, toasted, baguette was superb. My wife really enjoyed her French Toast, lots of fresh blueberries, fluffy and fantastic. I wish we tried their coffee also but already had several cups this morning. Then we looked around for a baked goods display since server told us they made their own baked goods. None out but they had fresh croissants, so we got a regular and a chocolate to go. Now my wife was driving today, so couldn't resist tasting my regular croissant. Yum. It was still warm and flaky, but I only had 1 bite. Quaint place, nice decorations, great service, great food. Check it out! Plus a nice military discount!

We are greeted with a warm welcome even though it was close to closing time by our server, Paula. She explained that everything was made all in house by the chef. Thank you so much for a fantastic lunch! We will definitely be back.

This hidden gem masterfully blends Dutch and French culinary traditions with a Belgian twist, delivering an experience that rivals 4- and 5-star restaurants around the world. From the moment we walked in, we were transported--not just by the warm, intimate ambiance--but by the incredible hospitality. The service was impeccable: attentive without being intrusive, and the entire evening felt personalized, especially when the chef came out to check on our table and chat about the inspiration behind our dishes. That's a rare and special touch. For our meal, I had the beef bourguignon, and I can say without exaggeration--it was perfection. Deeply flavorful, tender, and comforting, it reminded me of a dish I once had at a bistro in the Marolles district of Brussels. My wife ordered the pork tenderloin with a Dijon sauce, which was equally stunning. The sauce had just the right amount of sharpness to balance the richness of the tenderloin. What really sets Sallie's apart is their exceptional wine and beer selection. From Bordeaux and Malbec to Cabernet Franc, their wine list is thoughtful and ideal for pairing with the robust flavors of their menu. And for those leaning into the Belgian influence, they offer an impressive lineup of Belgian beers that round out the experience beautifully. Having been to Brussels several times, we can confidently say that Sallie's Bistro is the real deal. It's not just a meal--it's a culinary journey. Whether you're a local or just passing through Dunedin, this spot is a must-visit. Check it out--you'll be glad you did.

I made reservations for 7:00 - only for NO ONE to be there! Turns out they are only open on Friday's and Saturday nights now from 5:00 until 8:30 even! Super short hours. To say I was shocked that we were the only table at the restaurant the entire evening is an understatement. Absolutely not a single other table was there. We questioned whether or not the place was going out of business. Our sever was friendly and stuck to the script when we asked a couple different times if this was normal.... Food tasted extremely mediocre for the price. Not the same menu they used to have - either in what is offered or in the physical menu itself. Just a printed off piece of paper - again, I was stunned. Ambiance was absolutely zero - Lady Gaga blasted from the patio music, with the once beloved striped canvas totally missing from the patio atmosphere. The seats and tables were even falling apart. I understand there was a pandemic and hurricane Helene prior to our visit, but wow is it sad to see this place gone so downhill - and charging you top dollar for it.

When Bobby's Bistro opened it seemed to have a (slightly) younger vibe. Today there seems to be no difference between Heilman's and Bobby's. The menus are exactly the same. Bobby's is clean and comfortable and service is professional. Food prices are high-ish. Bar and wine prices are quite reasonable. This is one of the few places that still have complimentary bread service--much appreciated. I had the scallop appetizer and it was very good. Next was a nice side salad that was included with the entrée. My main dish was their deservedly famous fried chicken. It was a half chicken in 4 pieces with a thin and delicious crust and not greasy. This is the fried chicken that every other restaurant should aspire to. It came with very good (not over-cooked) green beans and perfect mashed potatoes and gravy. Bobby's (and Heilman's) are classics. They might not be modern and flashy and the patrons skew old, but these restaurants know how to do everything right.
