I had seen this bistro on Instagram and along with the French Onion Soup, seeing that they also had Beef Wellington on the menu made me really want to go. We made reservations for Valentine's Day, got all dressed up and then was so let down. We started with the Tempura Shrimp and French Onion Soup, after having to wait about 15 minutes without a server coming over even to ask about drinks. We had been there so long that we already knew what we wanted to eat but the time he came over for the starters which I ordered the Wellington (rare) and Ben ordered the Scallops. It took what seemed like forever to get out our food and when I asked about it and mentioned that mine was over cooked and Ben's scallops were also and rubbery, I got the excuse, well this is Valentine's Day and Beef Wellington does take a long time to do. My non-verbal response was a strong and obvious eye roll. I dated an executive chef for 11 years, I know how to make a Beef Wellington and that in a restaurant it is certainly not made to order but pre-made to a point and finished off when one orders it. You can actually even see this on Gordan Ramsey's Hells Kitchen show. The excuse of that is Valentine's Day may have worked at like a 6pm seating but we were there very late as that was the only left open so about half the restaurant was empty and even at 6pm, if your kitchen cannot handle the orders coming in that means you are under staffed and didn't prepare properly for one of the biggest days of the calendar year. Our server should have sent someone in management over when I voiced my opinion but he probably didn't want them to know of his lame excuse he gave us. The money spent on this meal was certainly not worth it or was made more around 1/5th of the costs we spent. We left unhappy and will never return.

My husband hosted my 75th birthday here with 50+ of our closest friends and family. Ryan, owner and chef, could not have been more gracious as a host, or provided a more delicious buffet. Everything was perfect! He suggested a fantastic DJ who play great dance music. The food was amazing. From the perfectly done "huge" shrimp cocktail to the selection of side dishes, the beef and chicken were flavorful, juicy and tender. Nothing like you would normally have at a buffet. Our guests were amazed. Ryan even made my favorite white cake with white icing. The servers were so gracious and accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about this lovely restaurant.

Amazing Happy Hour! Jessica's infused cocktails are inspired. And Chef Ryan Steffensmeier knocked it out of the park with his beef crostini with house made pepper jam. And his Croque Monsieur with luscious egg yolk dip and Gruyère sauce on the side was crispy and decadent. We also topped it off with an order of the soup trio for a perfect evening. And that soup trio was out of this world. Thanks for offering such a fun option with your great food and a wonderful staff

    Duck Tortellini

Delicious food, nice ambiance and great service from Coco. We enjoyed soups for starters, then the duck tortellini and lamb meatball sub mains. All were delicious. Cant wait to go back to try the happy hour pork belly nachos and $4 drafts.

    Duck confit

Steak tartar was super fresh and so many options for topping each perfect bite. The cheeseburger Wellington was the star dish, perfectly cooked burger, crispy, flaky pastry, and the fries were some of the best I've had lately. Béarnaise sauce and the Gruyere sauce were perfect for dipping both the Wellington and fries. Duck confit was fall off the bone tender. Apple crumble cheesecake was light and creamy. Cute place, we will be back!

I can't believe we've missed this hidden gem. Everything was great. Server was outstanding, the place was decorated very nicely for the season. Then the food was great. The charcuterie board was excellent, the special elk also excellent. Then for dessert bananas foster. We will be back!

Excellent food and service. Easily one of my favorite meals in Dunedin and really Tampa.

First time here and it was perfect from start to finish. Jessica, my bartender/server, was amazing. She had suggestions from app to dessert, and was impeccable with her service throughout my meal. Though I did not indulge in the libations, the other guests were raving about her crafting skills. The food was everything you would want for a French Inspired establishment, and reminded this Cajun of being home again in Baton Rouge. Even the ambience of this lil cozy restaurant made everything even more perfect. Def will be back myself, and recommend to anyone looking for high quality cuisine in the Dunedin area!

Certainly a chef driven restaurant. Don't let the location of a strip mall fool you, it's beyond a tremendous experience. Food was amazing from start to finish. wine list was heavy on the French selections (it's a French cafe after all) but had some great domestic choices as well. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Our gluten allergies were acknowledged and selections for us were plentiful. Great dinner!!

Super cool guy and very welcoming which made the experience feel extra special. We sat at the bar seating where you can watch the kitchen in action and it made the night even more fun. It kind of gave me Rooster & the Till vibes with the open kitchen energy and intimate setup. They serve wine and beer only which honestly fits the cozy and thoughtfully curated feel of the place really well. Great food great atmosphere and a unique dining experience overall. I would absolutely come back again and highly recommend it if you are looking for something a little different in Dunedin. What I ordered: - house made naan bread - chicken veloute, potato tortellini, carmalized onions, egg yolk (gives only 1 tortellini. Wish they added more) - ricotta gnocchi, brown butter, sage, prosciutto - beef short rib, mushroom and onion tart, parsnip, black garlic (really good!! must order!!)

When I sat at the bar I saw them pulling the food out of plastic containers in the fridge and warming it back up. The portions are small and the prices high, so come knowing that. That said, the food has always tasted good. The service was okay. My biggest issue, I tried to come eat here with my pre-teen kids once after a sports game they played and was asked multiple times if I was sure this was the place I wanted to come. Did they think I can't afford it? Did they not want my kids in the restaurant? And on that note, the food is not kid-friendly really.

The chicken Marsala needs improvement, the sauce didn't have great flavor and the chicken was not seasoned well. Using large (maybe portobello?) mushrooms provides a weird texture to the dish. On the other hand, when you cut into the Pork Chop, the heavens may part and angels sing. This chop is magnificent!!! We ordered on Wednesday night which offers a special Italian preparation with a tomato reduction sauce. The pork itself is so tender you can cut it with a fork. It melts in your mouth. GO for the pork chop! It's marvelous.

My Brother lives in St Pete and takes our Mom to eat there or calls in for take-out at least 2-3 times per month. We arrived tonight (Thursday) around 7:45 PM to bypass the dinner rush. Walking in to be seated, I noticed several empty tables that had not yet been cleared with several people waiting outside to be seated. I was told "there will be at least a 10-15 minute wait, to give my name, and to wait outside." I thought maybe there were enough people waiting already to take up the empty tables, but that wasn't the case. We sat outside in the cold waiting and watching the guy stand at the bar doing nothing to help bus the empty tables, some of which were right by the window. After 15 minutes or more, we were finally called in last walking by the same uncleared tables, led to another table as the table cloth was being placed on it, no menus, no apology for the extra long (unnecessary) wait outside in the cold. When we finally placed our order, we waited some more. Finally our server said "there was a mix up and our order had not gone through." When Mom's favorite seared salmon finally arrived, it was dry and overcooked. I have never written a bad review on Yelp in my life. But, I hated to see my precious Mom & Brother treated this way. Loyal customers should not be taken for granted.

A lot of the restaurants are closed for lunch though, which is how we ended up here. It's a lot larger than it looks. There's a really cute covered outdoors area in the back with a stage for performances. There were only a few diners there for lunch on a Friday so it was easy to grab a spot. I got a skinny strawberry margarita, it made me happy to see a skinny version of a flavored margarita on the menu. It has a sugar rim and was delicious. It's on the sweet side and I'd definitely get it again. I requested it without soda water. For my main I got the salmon bowl. I wouldn't get this again, but it's because the base is mainly fried wontons. I thought it would be a scattering of fried wontons but nope, it was a hefty portion. I didn't eat most of the fried wontons because I'm trying to be healthy. It's a delicious dish, just not for me. Service was great, but we were an easy table because we were chatting the entire time. I enjoyed our meal here, so we will definitely be back!

It is a small cafe tucked behind a convenience store. This was about 10:20 on a Tuesday. It is a small but quaint cafe, only two tables were occupied, so seated right away. The server brought us waters and menus. We browsed the good number of items. Now I do love quiche, and it looked great, but my interest went to the Shirted Eggs. New to me. So I went for that. My wife chose the Veggie Omellette, but changed when they did not have Salsa. So she picked the Blueberry French Toast instead. We chatted for a bit and I took photos. Shortly our meals came. I thought the Shirred Eggs would be scrambled but they were added to the bacon and heavy cream, unbroken, so cooked but juicy, and topped with cheddar. It was delicious. And the warm, toasted, baguette was superb. My wife really enjoyed her French Toast, lots of fresh blueberries, fluffy and fantastic. I wish we tried their coffee also but already had several cups this morning. Then we looked around for a baked goods display since server told us they made their own baked goods. None out but they had fresh croissants, so we got a regular and a chocolate to go. Now my wife was driving today, so couldn't resist tasting my regular croissant. Yum. It was still warm and flaky, but I only had 1 bite. Quaint place, nice decorations, great service, great food. Check it out! Plus a nice military discount!
