We have lived in FL for a few years now. We both agreed that this was the best meal that we have had since moving here. You maybe wouldn't pick the restaurant while driving by but the inside was a typical looking bistro. Dark with brick walls. Nice. We started with a nice bottle of Cabernet. One of my favorites. Chappellet. It was a bit of a splurge but not outrageous. We ordered a baguette that came with a sweet butter and an olive oil. It was delicious. We both had soup. My husband loved the soup they served that day. Beef noodle. We even took some home. I had a cup of Onion Soup and it was so good. Now the entrees. I had Beef Wellington. It was delicious. My husband had the filet mignon and he loved it. He had the pave potatoes and I had a type of augratin. Sorry, I can't remember what they were called. Also, our food was all hot when it was served which we really appreciated. Our server Savannah was new but you never would know it. She was spot on. She checked on us frequently and gave us great service. We like good food but we aren't in to a snobby atmosphere. The atmosphere and the food were perfect. For the app we got the onion rings and that was good the breading was delicious nothing too crazy the happy hour price was $10 and it's a small plate. For dinner I ordered the Filet French Onion Pasta it was good with a very flavorful French onion sauce... now is it worth $45 ehhh debatable but I deff still recommend trying. I had seen this bistro on Instagram and along with the French Onion Soup, seeing that they also had Beef Wellington on the menu made me really want to go. We made reservations for Valentine's Day, got all dressed up and then was so let down. We started with the Tempura Shrimp and French Onion Soup, after having to wait about 15 minutes without a server coming over even to ask about drinks. We had been there so long that we already knew what we wanted to eat but the time he came over for the starters which I ordered the Wellington (rare) and Ben ordered the Scallops. It took what seemed like forever to get out our food and when I asked about it and mentioned that mine was over cooked and Ben's scallops were also and rubbery, I got the excuse, well this is Valentine's Day and Beef Wellington does take a long time to do. My non-verbal response was a strong and obvious eye roll. I dated an executive chef for 11 years, I know how to make a Beef Wellington and that in a restaurant it is certainly not made to order but pre-made to a point and finished off when one orders it. You can actually even see this on Gordan Ramsey's Hells Kitchen show. The excuse of that is Valentine's Day may have worked at like a 6pm seating but we were there very late as that was the only left open so about half the restaurant was empty and even at 6pm, if your kitchen cannot handle the orders coming in that means you are under staffed and didn't prepare properly for one of the biggest days of the calendar year. Our server should have sent someone in management over when I voiced my opinion but he probably didn't want them to know of his lame excuse he gave us. The money spent on this meal was certainly not worth it or was made more around 1/5th of the costs we spent. We left unhappy and will never return. read more

We returned to parlor house for Valentine's Day last night. The food was absolutely unreal- as we remembered- but the ambiance has totally flipped! When we were here last (as you can see in the attached photos) there were dark curtains blocking out the very casual plaza, white table cloths, dimmer lighting, and a stage at the front for live jazz music. It really felt transformative and intimate. This time when we walked in we were greeted by a beta fish tank which was incredibly odd lol, all of the curtains were wide open, no live music, wooden tables, confusing decor, it was super bright and so, sooo so loud. Tables were crammed together and you could tell the kitchen and bar were struggling with volume. I wouldn't mention this at all if the entrees weren't 50$. For the very pricy food and cocktails you expect an elevated interior- and the vibe felt really confusing. It's a shame because the food is exceptional- something to keep in mind if you're looking for a romantic date night. Once again, an excellent experience. From the food to the service, everything is perfect We each started with the lollipop lamb chop. A very unique appetizer. One small lamb chop with a dipping sauce, which is perfect for my lamb fetish when I want to try some other dishes for the entree. My wife had a châteaubriand which she said, was cooked to perfection and melted it in her mouth I had a tenderloin and French onion pasta dish. It seems a strange combination, but the tastes were amazing. One of the best dishes out of the norm I have had in a long time. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection and the sauce added flavor to both the meat and the pasta. Excellent wine and cocktail menu enhances the meal Coco, our server who we have had before is always there to help but is not intrusive. She knows the menu inside and out. We actually dined here for our anniversary, December 30th. I wanted to write a glowing review then but I sadly can't remember my servers name. He was FABULOUS! I'm so sorry, wish I knew his name. He was the only male server there at the time so hopefully he gets credit. We made a reservation for dinner & walked in about 6:30pm. We waited only a minute maybe at the podium. It's in a strip mall which is odd for such an upscale place but it was kind of business casual not formal. We were seated in a comfy booth by our server. There was even a card sitting on the table, signed by the staff for our anniversary. Very sweet. This was our first time here so he showed us various specials on the menu. They had NYE specials since it was the 30th so we ordered from that. The drink menu is very small but I'm confident the bartender could have made me anything I asked for. We did not order bread, it's not included but we also did not want to fill up on it. I was dying to try the onion soup & was actually glad he recommended the mini size. It allowed us to try the soup but not fill up on it. I would totally return just for this soup! It wasn't long before our dinners were ready. Once it was in front of me I was honestly shocked at the raw beef but, it was truly seared & sliced to give it that presentation. I normally will not touch rare beef but this was actually delicious! The food was so good & fresh. The drinks were strong, not watered down at all. I actually had to get a Togo box for half my meal but it was a great lunch the next day. We did take home desserts as well which were also perfect. Our dinner was $200 which is quite steep but it was our anniversary & we truly enjoyed it. We will definitely return. I wish they did carry out for the soup. I think I'd order it every week if they did.. Overall I have zero complaints. The ambiance is not overly stiff either. My husband and I have been here twice (on Valentines day). Once for our 1st anniversary and a second time for our 2nd anniversary. The first time we dined here we were very impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere. The charcuterie board with the pork belly was absolutely the best pork belly I have ever had. The lamb chops were also amazing our first dining experience. Our second time however was not so great. The lamb chop lollipop was great but the charcuterie was not that great this time around. Our dinner was underwhelming, tasted like it was not properly seasoned. We will be coming back eventually to try a third time, lets hope its just as good as the first time! read more

Amazing Happy Hour! Jessica's infused cocktails are inspired. And Chef Ryan Steffensmeier knocked it out of the park with his beef crostini with house made pepper jam. My husband hosted my 75th birthday here with 50+ of our closest friends and family. Ryan, owner and chef, could not have been more gracious as a host, or provided a more delicious buffet. Everything was perfect! He suggested a fantastic DJ who play great dance music. The food was amazing. From the perfectly done "huge" shrimp cocktail to the selection of side dishes, the beef and chicken were flavorful, juicy and tender. Nothing like you would normally have at a buffet. Our guests were amazed. Ryan even made my favorite white cake with white icing. The servers were so gracious and accommodating. Steak tartar was super fresh and so many options for topping each perfect bite. The cheeseburger Wellington was the star dish, perfectly cooked burger, crispy, flaky pastry, and the fries were some of the best I've had lately. Béarnaise sauce and the Gruyere sauce were perfect for dipping both the Wellington and fries. Duck confit was fall off the bone tender. Apple crumble cheesecake was light and creamy. Ryan did an absolutely awesome hookup! I had a birthday celebration for our night and he set it all up with champagne and a staff signed birthday card at the table upon seating. First time here and it was perfect from start to finish. Jessica, my bartender/server, was amazing. She had suggestions from app to dessert, and was impeccable with her service throughout my meal. Though I did not indulge in the libations, the other guests were raving about her crafting skills. The food was everything you would want for a French Inspired establishment, and reminded this Cajun of being home again in Baton Rouge. My husband had one of the specials - chateaubriand, along with lobster and shrimp on a skewer. We both thought everything was delicious. Last week, we decided to have dinner out in Dunedin at Parlor House Bistro. The menu looked phenomenal and it didn't leave us disappointed. We were greeted and seated immediately when we arrived. We did make reservations for our party and they are recommended. The place filled up quickly. We looked over the cocktail menu while enjoying the live music. I went with a Parlor House sour. We checked out the appetizers and decided to go with the escargot, pork belly & brussels, French onion soup, bone marrow, & baked brie with fig jam. My cocktail came out and it looked amazing and tasted even better. We looked over the menu and three of us decided to go with the parlor house burger for our main course and one of us went with the duck confit. Our appetizers came out and they all looked exceptional. It is really hard to go wrong with baked brie, bone marrow, or escargot. The pork belly and brussel sprout appetizer was definitely my favorite though. The soup was good. A trail of burgers started streaming out of the kitchen so I knew it was ours. The duck confit appeared as well. These burgers were really tasty. They were a thick 10 oz patty topped with bacon, red onion marmalade, and garlic aioli. They were cooked to perfection and super juicy. The duck confit looked great, but I had a hard time getting over my burger. We were all pretty happy with our selections. To wrap up our meal, we decided to have a piece of cookie cheesecake and a few dessert wines. I was happy to see that they offered Tokaji, so we grabbed a couple of those. The cookie cheesecake came out looking pretty amazing and it did not let us down in the flavor department. It was nicely rich, but not cloyingly sweet. It had great flavor and was nicely balanced. Overall, we really enjoyed our first visit. The food was exceptional, the service was on point, and the environment was inviting. We will definitely be returning to sample some of the other menu items that caught our eye. This spot is highly recommended. read more

I just came with a friend for a drink and apps. I usually order the same type of white wine everywhere but here I was so impressed with the quality, I am actually going to find it and buy a bottle! We got the charcuterie where we could pick 3 cheeses and 2 meats but there are other options to choose more or less which is nice. I was hoping for a beautiful board but just got them delivered on a plate. Everything was excellent though and the service was stellar! read more

The staff are very professional, fun and Did an amazing job. But what is the best part......the food and drinks! OMG! The upscale menu does not disappoint! The chef is truly gifted! The food was hands down the best I have ever had! The drinks were perfection! We started with the mussels and wow they were delicious. My only complaint is they need to give you more bread to sop up that delicious broth! Two is not enough. Hubby had the special Lamb bourgeois. It was to die for! I thought he was going to lick the bowl and I wouldn't blame him. It's that good. I had the Beef Wellington and again totally amazing! Gordon Ramsay would say so himself lol. And those lyonnaise potatoes I dreamt about. We took or dessert home. Which were the crème brûlée and apple strudel. They were both just absolutely Devine! Now the drinks are delicious and go down very easy! So pace yourself. I had the rose martini and hubby had the old Fashioned. Both completely worth it. So make your reservation now! Mixed review for me...apps were amazing. Husband had the soup flight...French onion, shrimp bisque and a blue crab chowder. All were outstanding!!! Wish I had thought to snap a pic of them before they were devoured. I had the foie gras app...not a very generous portion, but so delish!!! I cleaned my plate. For entrees, my husband ordered a special...a sous vide ground beef Wellington with a smoked duck breast. I ordered the Chateaubriand. I ordered the chateaubriand rare vs. the grilled filet mignon because I prefer the rare, inner slice of beef vs. a grilled crust of a steak. The waitperson informed me that the chateaubriand was typically roasted to medium rare temp, but he would ask the kitchen to give me the rarest slices possible. The chateaubriand was perfectly sliced, but then sadly seared on one side on a flat top...that should not have happened, particularly since I ordered it rare. Had I wanted a seared steak, I would have ordered the grilled filet. A room temp slice of great, quality rare beef would have been way more acceptable than a sliced filet seared on one side. Cocktails were/and are always exceptional...kudos to the amazing bartender and the crème brûlée was delish. We will return, but I will try another entree on our next visit. read more
