Staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. It came with fried potatoes and they were nice and crispy. We shared a waffle with fruit on the side. The waffles was perfect, soft with a little outside crisp and fresh berries and whipped cream on the side. Good experience here and pretty fast service. read more

We ordered breakfast take out and it was DELICIOUS. Every single thing we ordered was SO good! The cheese grits were probably the best I've ever had-- perfect consistency and seasoning was perfect. I ordered the red eye (brisket benedict) and I would eat it every day if I could. My bf got the bip & bop burger and it was perfectly cooked and super delicious. My family and I had such a nice experience at Cafe Destin. It is the perfect place to go to relax and eat breakfast. All of our food was delicious. The portions are big, so if you wanted to share your meal with a child that would definitely work. My favorite part was the coffee. I asked for a Starbucks Frapp style coffee and the guy made it even better then Starbucks does. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely be coming back. read more

Place was busy but no wait on weekday around 11. Kids had banana foster pancakes, biscuits and gravy with bacon and sausage sides. 11 hours agoNEW My fiancé and I came down to Destin to get married, and we stopped at Cafe Destin on the way to get our marriage license. We were so impressed as soon as we walked in. The staff was friendly, gave good suggestions, and very polite. The atmosphere was very clean and modern. The food itself was PHENOMENAL! I have probably never had such a good breakfast in a very long time. We've been burned before by just randomly choosing a restaurant to eat at, but not this time. Absolute PROPS to these people. When we come back down to Destin, which we most certainly will do, we will be stopping again. I cannot say enough good things about this place. read more

Dressed up fast food. It looks promising when you enter. Has a really nice "coastal" feel to it. That's where it stopped for me. When I go out to eat, a big part of the experience I'm looking for is service and being taken care of. The whole process is similar to going to eat at a fast food restaurant. You are not seated. You order at the counter. You pay at the counter. The do however bring your coffee to your table after you choose a table. But then you have to get up again and go to one of the tables by the trash cans to add creamer or sugar. These are not on any of the tables. If you need a refill, you have to go to the counter and ask. And once again go to creamer/sugar table. I was pleased to see the food come fairly quickly. But even then the comparison to a fast food place continued. Served on paper plates. Plastic knives and forks. I ordered the steak and eggs. Overall tasted good. The steak was tender and cooked well. But it was covered in a gravy type sauce, not great. Towards the end, I tried my sons pancakes, which he did not like. They were rubbery and without much taste. We have a larger family so when we go places to eat, it needs to hit the mark to make it worth it. Facilitating the kids can be difficult enough at times. Having to serve ourselves throughout the meal is disappointing. Prices were decent. There are many other options in the area better worth your time and money. Try Donut Hole. Especially the one in Santa Rosa Beach. read more

Well I was bamboozled, bushwhacked, and my breakfast dreams were ultimately compromised due to the misleading reviews of this place. To the lady commenting about the seasoning. With all due respect and I do mean all do respect this place is about as low on seasonings as the Walmart shelves of destin during season. I had to fetch the salt and pepper I had to grind up myself for a bit of flavor on my tastebuds. The southern breakfast originated in the north as the only southern thing about it were the grits. Which I will say were the only appealing item on my plate. My son enjoyed his ham and cheese omelet other than that the can mimosa could've possibly upset my stomach for the rest of the day, and the silver dollar tree utensils clashed poorly with the cream paper plates. Although the staff are friendly and the restaurant was clean the food was blah! Born and raised in the south maybe I'm picky about grits but theirs were inedible.
