Their juices and smoothies alone are quite extensive. There is matcha tea iced and hot just for Melony. My hubby had the chicken with Potato gnocchi and portabello mushrooms. The flavor is vibrant. I know that sounds like a fluffy word, but no other way to describe it. I had the kelp stir fry with chicken and veggies. I never had kelp noodles before. Hard to imagine that it is made of kelp seaweed, and it's not a carb. Totally amazing. I had a fresh coconut with coconut water. My little shihtzu named Mocha Coconut had to try his name sake. This was my first time at Cafe Evergreen and I was overwhelmed with the numerous options, all very healthy and all sounding delicious. They have vegan, vegetarian, non-vegan, and non vegetarian meals so there is truly something for everyone. They bring complimentary edamame to the table which was a nice surprise. For the table we ordered the avocado on onion bread which ends up looking like avocado in taco shells served with fresh pico-de-gallo, nonetheless it was wonderful. I ordered the vegan beet Ruben sandwich and really enjoyed it. (I did ask for extra vegan thousand island dressing on the side though, because I'm a condiments person) For my side I chose the roasted cauliflower and everything was wonderful. We were in from Chicago for the week and were looking for a place that has vegan as well as non-vegan options. Loved it! I had the vegan "meatloaf" and cauliflower mashed potatoes plus green beans one night and a vegan pulled pork with quinoa/rice pilaf the other night. Delicious! Hubby had steak and gnocchi one night and a Reuben the other and also enjoyed. Guacamole and organic corn chips were yummy. Speaking of yummy, the little desserts that are like mousse (I had pumpkin spice and peanut butter chocolate) with coconut whipped cream were divine! We came here for lunch based on my parents' suggestion. And they were right! We had a reservation, and it was a good thing. Despite being a Tuesday afternoon, they filled up fast and there was a line when we left. The complimentary spicy edamame they bring to the table is a really nice touch. And so much healthier than bread. I really appreciate the choices for the kids' menu - less than $5 for a burger, Mac & cheese, grilled chicken or grilled cheese, plus celery and carrot sticks. The Mac and cheese was clearly homemade and was a really nice portion. My son devoured it. We all got salads - my mom and I split the Thai Salad with their baked falafel and the Santa Fe Salad with grilled chicken. We both agreed that we preferred the Santa Fe, but liked the falafel more than the chicken (a bit chewy). (Although it was all delicious! And the Thai dressing was really good.) This is a super restaurant! This restaurant is alittle misleading. When you see it while driving by you think it must be a small cute little healthy cafe but when we arrived we realized it is actually one of the most large and spacious cafes of its kind!! They offer both out door and indoor seating and a lovely menu with many healthy food choices for a variety of food diet preferences!! If you like you can have beef, fish or chicken but we found many vegan and vegetarian choices as well. We began the meal with the complimentary edamame steamed with a tasty spice. It was healthy, unique and very tasty!! Next we tried the cheesy quinoa cakes. We both enjoyed. I had the carrot rocket to drink with the black bean burger. My lunch partner enjoyed the chocolate berry smoothie with the vegan beet reuben. We ended this meal with the vegan chocolate mouse. Our server was kate and she was excellent!! The meal totaled $55. Plus tip which was about $33 a person for lunch. We each brought food home so sharing is an option. I would get the drink and appetizer again but try something else as I have enjoyed similar black bean burgers elsewhere. The vegan beet rueben satisfied my partner who used to eat rueben sandwiches prior to going vegetarian. We did enjoy this restaurant very much and highly recommend!!! Breakfast looks good based off pictures, however I ate there for lunch and the menu looks like stuff I'd feed a rabbit. Hostess was nice but server rolled her eyes at me. My smoothie tasted like bread and my Mac and cheese tasted like flour. Maybe try breakfast here but don't do lunch here, unless you like rabbit food. read more

I am SO glad I happened upon this place on my way back from the beach! The were super busy but we were able to get take out, the staff was super friendly and helpful. When we got home to finally try our meals we were blown away. One of the best sandwiches we have had in a while! I had the evergreen club -completely vegan and so delicious. My husband have the turkey sandwich with the vegan Mac and cheese, also amazing. We are only on the area once in a while but we will be back! I don't have a picture because I inhaled it. The only downside is they are not opened on Sundays and I wish they had GF pancakes! I ordered the salmon filet sandwich and mango marathon for my sister. Super vegan wrap and evergreen smoothie for myself. My sister didn't get to eat her food due to extenuating circumstances. I really enjoyed the super vegan wrap, it was very flavorful. The evergreen smoothie was a bit chalky and tasted mostly like coconut water so I wouldn't order that again. I am so glad my first impression wasn't my lasting impression, we arrived here just after they opened on a Saturday morning, since we were the first customers of the day we had our choice of seating. One look at the menu I honestly thought I had just entered the only "no carnivore zone" on the west coast of Florida and my attitude was trending south rapidly and not in a good way, but I was being accommodating to the two special ones in my life that had chosen what I considered a quaint vegan, gluten free, organic, health food venue so I was begrudgingly determined to make it work. My displeasure quickly changed courses after meeting our wonderful server who offered up a beautifully crafted latte which improved my attitude immensely after the first sip and provided me with my much need caffeine fix. I continued to scan the menu offerings somewhat pretentiously in a joking manner hoping to construct something I'd consider safe and flavorful that would sustain me until the next meal. A modified version of the breakfast wrap seemed to be the logical choice for me - I substituted the bison burger for a slight up charge over the black bean burger and let fate guide me the rest of the way. This breakfast wrap turned out to be an unbelievably delicious choice it exceeded anything I could of imagined so fresh and light and filled with a combination of complex flavors and textures that were nothing short of amazing (maybe I had just transformed into the healthy eating person I've always considered myself to be lol). The fresh fruit was just as tantalizing making this breakfast one of the best I've experienced in some time. As for the rest of the food that I did not have the opportunity to try being my portions were more than adequate looked just as unique and delicious proving once again stepping outside your comfort zone can be quite rewarding. read more
