I've given this restaurant multiple chances because the food and atmosphere are delightful, but their customer service care has been consistently disappointing. On three separate visits, I've encountered their staff who were curt, dismissive, and downright rude. It's unfortunate, because this place could be great if the team showed even basic courtesy and professionalism. Until there's an improvement in how customers are treated, I can't recommend it. Cute coffee spot in the middle of the downtown. Unfortunately we already had breakfast at the hotel we were staying at so we only had room for a donut and some drinks, though everything in their display was VERY tempting. The place itself was so cozy. I loved the decor and the space. We ordered a coffee, a hot cocoa, and the cinnamon sugar donut. Coffee and donut were both really great, the hot cocoa was just ok. The staff was friendly and while we were there they had a steady amount of people in and out. Looks like they are definitely a favorite in town. Delightful little cafe right in downtown - a cozy space for breakfast, lunch, or a midday pick me up. We stopped in for lunch on a Friday and it was quiet and chill, just what we wanted after a long day of driving. The bakery case was still full of lots of tempting treats but we kept our sights on actual lunch. My cousin got a BLT made on one of their fresh croissants and a cup of the soup of the day - tomato basil. It was well filled with a good ratio of fillings (primarily bacon, good chunk of tomato and a few crisp lettuce pieces). The tomato basil soup impressed mr and I generally think of tomato basil soup as liquidy pasta sauce. I got the ham and cheese which I didn't realize was cold but by the time I bit in I didn't care. A medium sharp cheddar cheese gave a nice bite and the ham was thick cut but tender with a perfect balance of smoky and salty. The bread was amazing for just being regular white bread. It had a great buttery flavor but not overpowering. The coffees were also delicious. One of the first times I've had an eggnog latte where it didn't taste sickeningly sweet and you could taste the spices. Not sure what variety of coffee they're brewing but they were fresh grinding beans when we were there. Excellent stop for us for lunch. We stopped in for lunch on the way to Chicago from Door County. Daily Baking Company is 1.5 miles off of I-43 and well worth the drive. I worked in a bakery in college and have high standards for bread. This place is the real deal. The bakery is nestled in a block with other restaurants and shops. My husband had the prosciutto & Brie sandwich on baguette, topped with fresh tomatoe and lettuce. He loved the sandwich even though biting through the baguette was tricky. I tasted the baguette and it had a perfect chewy crust. If we lived in town, I'd be here getting bread on the regular. My sandwich married the flavors of hummus, lettuce, tomato & spinach with the chewy nuttiness of the bread. Highly recommended. Stop in here for lunch or better yet, spend the day in this quaint little town. read more

The quality is there, However, there is room for improvement. While my sandwich was tasty, the bread was really tough. I find it outrageous that they charge five dollars for a baguette. When you pay $12 for a sandwich the bread should not be be tough to eat. The lady was taking our order was very nice and pleasant and welcoming to us. THIS PLACE IS MAGIC! I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I called months ago to order some sandwiches and sides for a wedding. I read the reviews online, felt it was a convenient location with food that looked good. Oh - my - word.... They blew out my expectations TEN FOLD! First, let's start with the location: amazing. Right in town and easy to get to. The staff- sweet as can be and so helpful. Everyone was working hard and so pleasant. Now to the food- everything I tried was superb. My absolutely favorite is their nutella croissant, what a gift of perfection. Perfectly buttery, flaky, semi-sweet goodness. I ordered it on the fly Saturday and prayed it was there on Sunday when I arrived. Their homemade brioche donuts will send you to the moon. We splurged for the caramel... it was melt in your mouth good. There is not one thing I would change. Order it all, you won't regret a single thing! I love port Washington and haven't been in a very long time! Was visiting last weekend and was trying to find a cute quick place to get tea and breakfast and found this place. It is so cute and homey! All of the pastries and stuff they had out looked so delicious. I got a mint tea and an everything bagel with cream cheese and fruit on the side. The bagel was really yummy, and the fruit was fresh. My sister and my brothers girlfriend had the breakfast sandwich and they both really enjoyed it. My sister and I shared this pastry, I am forgetting what it's called but it was sort of like a cinnamon roll covered in cinnamon sugar with nuts in it. I usually don't like nuts in my desserts or pastries, but it was incredibly delicious, we ate it so fast. Such a cute little place! read more

It was also weird because I would show up at around 6:10a after my graveyard shift and they still had the doors locked while they were baking and working away. I asked for a toasted bagel with cream cheese, which they appeared to have forgotten about (despite me being the only customer waiting at the time), and ended up getting a bag with a sliced bagel, a complete plastic cutlery set (complete with salt & pepper) and the cream cheese in another plastic container. It's 2021, we all know that we're drowning in freaking plastic, so why on earth, considering that you're a bakery, aren't you just smearing the damn cream cheese on my bagel and give it to me? Instead I have use the pathetic plastic knife to attempt and spread the cream cheese on the bagel, and throw all the plastic away. It's inconvenient for me and costs you extra money, it makes no sense. I'm pretty sure that if Dunkin Donuts can do it, your bakery that prepares sandwiches can too. read more

Love this place. Rode my bike here from Cedarburg on the Interurban Trail. Nice atmosphere, decor. Good background music...not too loud or too soft. Wonderful food - recommend the Breakfast BAP egg sandwich...add some Wisconsin cheese...so good - almond croissants are great too. Lovely bakery-cafe with bike parking. I enjoyed a prosciutto Brie sandwich with a side of fruit. I was excited to have a fruit cup of berries, but had to take a star off because they didn't look washed (I rubbed some dirt off) and a few had mold spots. Espresso was good - drinks are nine oz for small, twelve for large both have two shots. It seemed a little different from other coffee shops where 12 oz is small...maybe it's just an American thinking that it's small. Also, they key lime cookies were really good! However this is NOT the case with Daily Baking Company. Their sandwiches are made with ingredients so fresh I presume they are preparing the meats and curing the cheeses in the back themselves. Portions are generous too. This is an independent coffee shop/bakery on steroids. You would usually find a place like this a few doors down along a main thoroughfare in a larger city, though strictly speaking that is a biased opinion as Michigan is rife with beautiful indie outfits like this. My one regret is that I was simply passing through. If fate takes me nearby again, I'd like to take a deeper dive into their healthy green options. My wife opted for a salad, and while my toasted savory option was amazing, I kept glancing over at her salad replete with slices of fresh fruit and other adornments. Highly recommended. read more
