We ordered butter chicken, lamb curry, chicken biryani, garlic naan. Not only were the portions ridiculously small for $90 but we all got sick! I have a friend from India who has been introducing me to Indian food. I was excited to find Cafe India to be an excellent source of quality authentic Indian cuisine. My wife and I are looking forward to exploring the menu and trying their wide variety of dishes. Since it was our first time, we decided on an appetizer sampler. The Vegetable Samosa was awesome! All of the items were very good and our dinner of chicken tikka masala and lamb vindaloo were both very tasty. I would have eaten more but my tummy would have burst. Tried this place for the first time. My order included: chicken tikka masala. Aloo Gobi, garlic naan, vegetable samosas, basmati rice. Overall the Food had a unique taste to it but it was very salty. I don't mind salt but this had way too much and seemed to mask the true flavor which was interesting to say the least. I wouldn't say it was bad but it was certainly different. The chicken tikka masala was very soupy and lacked the thick consistency that I'm used to. In fact it tasted watered down. I was also surprised that it didn't come with rice so we had to order it separately. The aloo gobi was good as was the garlic naan. The samosas were small and lacked flavor. The samosas here are the finest; beautifully crafted with cardamom, ginger & garlic, that I have sampled anywhere which includes Dubai and London. Review update: mango lassi n salt lassi were good.other dishes were ok ok. They don't provide roti on weekend. Veggie paratha n any other paratha if ordered would take half an hour so we ordered plain paratha n aloo paratha. As an Indian who has been traveling for work for quite sometime, I was excited that there is an Indian restaurant in this city. Over 2 months I have ordered quite a lot from here and I have always been so disappointed. Their rice dishes taste of raw turmeric; the raw spices hit you in throat. The pulav which they say is made in saffron was so bad it tasted like they put cups of raw turmeric after cooking the rice. I'm sorry but for the price I feel the quality is very low. The navratana (9 items) korma had 4 vegetables and all were clearly frozen and not fresh. The vegetable biryani has frozen carrots, zucchini edamame???? Come on guys.. put paneer and the vegetables that actually go into the classic dish and not the ones you already have in your freezer!! One thing I liked was matar paneer. Sorry guys I waited for 2 months to write this review, so if you have kind of food please change your prices. Stop fooling poor Non Indians. Thank you read more

Chinese food has Chinese beer ,Japanese food has Japanese beer, Thai food has Thai beer....Indian food needs Indian beer with all the spices and things going on ,the beer complements the food very well. This is my first visit since the new ownership took over. The staff is friendly and the service is prompt and attentive. My wife and I didn't know what to expect from the food, but we weren't disappointed. The chicken tikka masala is still one our go-to dishes and it was flavorful and satisfying. The naan are huge and addicting. We also tried the chana masala and it was good, but we would likely try a different vegetarian dish next time. The dish didn't shine although we did like the level of spice. It was too one-dimensional for our liking.
