My sister and I were pleasantly surprised at how delicious and fresh the food tasted. We ordered a variety of dishes. Definitely give the spring rolls a try as an appetizer. The freshness of the coconut juice with coconut pieces was delightful. The iced coffee was not to sweet and not to bitter, it was just right. The Entrees were mixed fried vegetables with shrimp and sticky rice. Fried noodles with shrimp. Fried rice with chicken and don't skip the desert! It was a sweet sticky rice with mango and a sweet coconut milk topped with sesame seeds. Ask for it cause it's not on the menu. The service was fast and the atmosphere was pleasant. If I was only ever going to one restaurant in Wasilla for the rest of my life--this is it. Authentic Laotian food filled with fresh ingredients makes this a must stop. We really enjoyed this place. You walk in and seat yourself in a very clean dining area. From there, the service was prompt and attentive. We ordered two vegetarian dishes, the bamboo soup, and the tofu larb. Of the two we liked the tofu larb better, but the bamboo soup was also good. Came here on Friday for lunch and it was steadily busy. There was only one waitress who was also the cashier and she was awesome. She came to check on us and made sure we had a pitcher of water. We ordered the chicken noodle soup, Deep fried pork, and shrimp fried rice. My favorite dish was the soup because it had crispy fried pork it to add flavor while the soup was warm and the noodles melted in your mouth. With how cold it was outside it was soothing. The fried pork was not over cooked so it was still juicy which made it delicious but lacked flavor. The shrimp fried rice had huge shrimps in it and was not too salty. Cute little cafe, not much seating. Staff was friendly. As for the food, Thai iced coffee was too sweet. Kua mhee was great, kao Piak Sen was good, char siu pork was good. I liked the beef Larb but my husband (who is Thai ) did not. They have 3 different jaew(dipping sauce) to choose from . I can't say any of them were good. We make it at home and I just didn't like the way they made theirs , flavor was off. But I'm sure if youve never eaten it before you might enjoy it. I would eat here again. Also they use a lot of MSG. So if you're sensitive to that I would stay away. I will add they are the best Lao/Thai restaurant I have been too in Alaska . read more

Best food in the valley in my opinion love this place wish I could eat here every day

It's been a while since I was in this spot and unfortunately I left disappointed. The food is good but not exceptional. I tried the fried meatballs and they had a strange texture that can best be described as a chewy outside with a more normal inner texture for a meatball. The Basil curry fried rice lacked much chicken which was disappointing. The Lao tea is $6 for a fairly small glass which isn't bad if you can have refills (which was my experience in the past). This time no refills were offered. The teenage wait staff definitely aren't the same as the owners and take away from the atmosphere a bit. read more

We have eaten here many times and it one of our favorites. They'd been closed for family time and finally reopened today! So happy! We stopped in and I decided to try something new. A papaya salad, I ordered medium spice. It was so different and really good... really, really good. The spice is true, what I mean by that is, medium for most Americans is not hot.... Medium in Thai or Laotian is quite spicy hot. So so good though. Highly recommend trying if you like strong flavors and spicy hot foods... you can order it less spicy but I really enjoyed the heat.
