This review is simply on the ordering process and the inability to accomodate a first timer! First of all, do not use doordash if you want specific add ons or anything different. The restaurant will only make what is ordered and they do not pay attention to any other instructions. I ordered a pad thai. It normally comes with chicken and shrimp but it was confusing on the menu. The protein offered on doordash is beef for $ pork or veggie. It does not offer shrimp or chicken. I added shrimp in the delivery instructions and added pork for my protein but was informed when I got there that I would only have shrimp. Im hoping the food is amazing. So ultimately call the restaurant directly to place an order. read more

May or may not have been incredibly hungry, craving Thai food. It's been awhile since poking my head into Lahn and I am so glad we did! The dishes came out hot, flavorful and filled with lots of veggie deliciousness. Their sauces are very tasty and compliment the other ingredients well. Their noodle special is fulfilling with an abundant mix of protein, veggies and noodle variety. I enjoyed the medium spice level, I can still taste and enjoy every bite! My feeling towards the spring rolls remain the same... delicious but 3/$12.95?! I feel that this might just be a thing with fresh rolls because while I can make them at home, I continue to pay 100x more than the DIY version. But I digress. We also got the Ginger Chicken with vegetables and the Panang yellow Curry. All of it was really good! We got a box of the steamed tofu and it was a very generous portion. I came here on a weekday and got the lunch special pad Thai. The portion was a nice lunch portion and comes with either a fresh or fried spring roll. The price I was charged is about $2 than what was listed on their website. Still a relatively good deal though. When I arrived to pick up the food, I was warmly greeted by the staff. The restaurant itself looked clean with a small amount of seating. The pad Thai was pretty good to satisfy the craving. Not the best I've had but still good. Wow! Talk about a lot of flavor combinations all in one. The food was perfect. I would say my favorite was the salad Yum Ven Sen this had the perfect amount of noodles and veggies and a lot of chicken. Had this as an appetizer which was perfect way to start because of the freshness it added to the meal. Then moved onto the spicy Pad Kra Pao which brought the heat that I was looking for. It wasn't just burning sensation in the mouth which was great it caused overall heat. The service was great as water and hot tea never was empty. The food came out quick as well. Visiting a friend in Anchorage for a week and wanted some warm soup for the rainy day. I got the Beef Noodle Bowl and the broth was amazing. It was a really good beef broth with a hint of sweetness from the Thai chili sauce. I opted for the homemade wide rice noodles for the up charge of $2. They were good but I don't think I would upgrade them again. I don't they added much. My wife got the Pad Thai and loved it. It comes with a chili seasoning on the plate to spice it up if you like. Ordered the shrimp purses and two Pad Kra Pao - one w minced pork and one w chicken - loved it and would order all again! The shrimp purses were delicious - light, fluffy with a crunch near the edges (shockingly fresh despite being delivery), and the sauce was delightfully sweet and tangy! The chicken was a bit dry without drenching it in so I much preferred the minced pork version. The sauce it was in was slightly sweet which paired nicely with my chosen spice level (medium). I also love their crunchy bamboo shoots. Alright, downgrading my review for two reasons: 1. I ordered pad thai takeout and the box was a mess, like the pad thai sauce got everywhere. No utensils or napkins in the bag. I didn't see any available nor was I asked if I wanted any. 2. They increased their Thai iced tea prices by not one, but two dollars. So a regular Thai iced tea is $5 and a large (which I ordered, not knowing of the price change) is a whopping $7. Ridiculous. Most other restaurants in town charge less than half that. If my beverage is going to cost half the price of my entree, there better be a reason (read: alcohol). I most likely will not come here as often as I used to given my most recent experience. Still a decent restaurant, but there's plenty of other options in town with better prices and service. read more

This review is going to be a good-bad-good sandwich. Their service is ok, food generally meets expectations, and it's on south side, close to home. They consistently give us white rice when we ask for brown; when it happens with a takeout order they make up for it by discounting your next meal. It was several months before I went back a second time, and they either truly remembered or just decided not to give me a hard time (I did have the receipt in hand with the staff members name noted). Recipes that say they come with home made flat rice noodles actually come with a ton of vermicelli and some flats mixed in -- MAJOR disappointment. (Head to Pho Lena for the real deal flat rice noodles.) Their staff is also pretty inattentive. The last time we were in, it was quiet and there were three staff working in the front of the restaurant. The older female staff member was talking loudly with two male employees who appeared teen-aged about drinking and partying; it felt pretty inappropriate. When they weren't hanging out with each other, they were on their phones, mostly ignoring their customers. They never asked us whether we liked our food. Final positives: curries are good and the popeye chicken is bomb. read more
