I don't usually leave comments but this place is a true gem!!!! We live in the hotel and arrived about 9pm so don't want to go somewhere else. And this is truly beyond my expectations! The food is very tasty, especially the scallops!!! The best scallops I've ever eaten! The atmosphere is soooo relaxing with the Jazz/blue background and lovely lights. The price is very reasonable even cheap with the quality and quantity of food we receive. Better than $100/person restaurants I had in Boston. The service is also very good! Our servicer is the sweetest lady ever with great recommendations.

So we had Christmas dinner here lat night since we are staying at the hotel. I ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich and I fell in love with it, it came with a side of strawberry jam as well as some really good potatoes. I also tried some of my friends Caesar salad which was very tasty. The best part of eating here was Muhammad who was extremely nice and attentive.

We were seeking a place to have brunch while in DC and we chanced upon this spot on Yelp so we decided to take the plunge and head over the next day without reservations. Located inside quaint Hotel Lombardy (near the White House), we walked in and the restaurant is right in front of you on the right hand side past the main door entrance and lobby area. When you check-in with the hostess at the counter area, you never really know what to expect for the restaurant decor at times so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the natural lighted bright room with its crisp white table lines and limited seating. Definitely reminded me of a quaint breakfast cafe area at a little cute B&B area in the French countryside. We got seated against the wall and started to go over the menu. We all decided to go with the special of the day which happened to be pasta and scallops which isn't exactly breakfast but we all felt like pasta and scallops that day (haha). I also ordered a side of caesar salad as well (gotta remember to eat your veggies right?!). The customer service here is really awesome. The hostess to our waiter were nothing but very nice and attentive to us the entire time. Our drinks were consistently refilled without us having to ask which was nice. We got started on our appetizer bread which consisted of unsalted butter and a slice of bread with your choice of olives, multigrain or sourdough (sourdough was good!). Caesar salad was just okay IMO. As for the special of the day, I felt like that the scallops was good and nicely sautéed, but the pasta sauce just tasted like plain tomato sauce to me. I mean, the meal overall was good, don't get me wrong; it just like I felt I was ultimately eating scallops with spaghetti. Definitely a nice try for the cute & relaxing ambiance and customer service, but not worth the price for the food.

The space is gorgeous; I love all the plants, and the light brown, light blue, and white color combination for their furniture makes the space look classy and modern. The light brown leather couches are comfortable, and I love the way they circle around the tables to create a natural, cozy booth. Our food was just as beautiful as the space. The Restaurant Week menu comes with an appetizer, main, and dessert. Given how indecisive I can be (and how expansive the normal menu is), I was grateful to have my choices narrowed down a bit. I started off my meal with the octopus. The octopus was remarkably tender and not overly chewy, and had a delightful char that gave it a slightly smoky flavor. They double downed on the smokiness with their burnt chili oil, which, alongside the lemon and salsa verde, gave the dish a wonderfully balanced smoky, savory, and slightly acidic flavor. The crushed potatoes had a lovely crispy shell on the outside and served as a great base for the tender octopus. The main course was probably the easiest choice of the evening -- I'm absolutely obsessed with branzino, so the second I saw it on the Restaurant Week menu, I knew that was what I had to get. The fish is beautifully broiled, with a nice, crispy skin and super tender, flaky flesh. It's topped with a few pieces of roasted garlic and a wedge of lemon. The fresh lemon juice, as well as the lovely side salad, offered a great pop of freshness to bring the whole dish together. And finally, for our dessert, I chose the chocolate torta. This wonderful dessert is remarkably rich and decadent, with a strong dark chocolate flavor. It's topped with a lovely marsala date sauce and scoop of sheep's yogurt ice cream, but still doesn't feel overly sweet. The sheep's yogurt in the ice cream offers a bit of tanginess, and I loved the addition of the candied walnuts for a bit of crunch.

A five-minute walk towards downtown from the Mayflower hotel made Tatte Bakery an ideal spot for breakfast. It also has nice views of Farragut Square. I went with the House Full breakfast that included Applewood bacon, eggs, potato fritters with tomato jam and mint parmasean, and house made sourdough. I was curious to try one of their best sellers - monkey bread, and it didn't disapoint. A solid breakfast with on point service before catching the metro to Virginia. I really enjoyed my visit here and would return in a heartbeat.
