Had breakfast at Cafe Mi Amor. Great place with an eclectic atmosphere. The official vibe is Cuban with many references to the island. The coffee is great and I tried a Toasted Coconut Cubano (Iced) and the Cuban Delight Breakfast. The Toasted Coconut Cubano was a nice change for me from hot coffee drinks and perfect for a warm August morning in Hot Springs. The Cuban Delight with fruit was very satisfying with a large serving of pork and eggs cooked to perfections. Jane had an Almond Croissant and our friend had the Forrest Runner Breakfast. Both enjoyed their selections. Service was very good, Cafe Mi Amor is a fun place. Next time I will try one of the fresh juice drinks. read more

Ordered a cafe con leche with heavy cream & a your mama's? I think it's called lol cinnamon roll. Both were heavenly! The cinnamon rolls they had an entire page in the menu dedicated to some sweet, swirly cinnamon goodness options but all of them were $11.11 so I chose the classic one for $5 & change. Don't think I've ever seen a cafe or restaurant where most of their prices are with either the same 3 or 4 digits lol Reason why it's not 5 stars is the stimuli in that place was way more than I can handle. I ended up having to take deep breaths in car & take time to regulate my nervous system before driving off. Everything echoed & seemed like the decibel of sound doubled. From the blender for smoothies to the emptying out the coffee grounds from espresso machine against the trash can to the ear piercing drag of the chairs from patrons. Not the most peaceful place to eat & I certainly couldn't comfortably hold a phone conversation. Wouldn't hesitate to return but a to-go order it would be! read more

Cafe Mi Amor Came here for brunch and got the lover bowl (19.99): cilantro lime rice, Cuban black beans, organic mixed greens, avocado chunks, Cajun turkey, crispy bacon, pickled red onion, and a drizzle of cilantro lime aioli. Super generous portion, kind of like a higher-end Chipotle bowl but actually really good and filling. Everything was fresh, and the flavors worked together perfectly. One thing that makes this place stand out is all the Rubik's cubes, puzzles, and toys around--I was playing with them while waiting which made the whole vibe feel fun and relaxed. The staff was nice and helpful the whole time. A little on the pricier side, but easily my favorite brunch spot I've been to so far in Arkansas. It's in what could be considered a strip mall that's a bit aged. No overt signage. But from past experiences the best eateries I've discovered took a minute or two (or 10!) to discover. Thus far I've never been disappointed. Smoothies, Açaí bowls, wellness shots, add ons like bee pollen, honey, Cordyceps, Lions Mane... the list goes on! The cashier was very kind, the place was extremely crowded, but it was a cute little place. It just didn't have a wow factor for us. Today was my 4th visit to Mi Amor Cafe in less than a week. The Cafe is spotlessly clean, the staff is friendly and eager to please. All coffee and food we've eaten there, absolutely scrumptious! Food was good and the gals running the cash register and kitchen were so sweet and fantastic ... but, there were so many flies in the restaurant it made me uncomfortable and even had to say something when I saw flies on food they were about to serve another table. In a tired-looking strip mall in Arkansas is Cafe Mi Amor, a small Cuban restaurant that earned our business with great ratings on places like where you're reading this. Being very hungry after a day of exploring, we ventured in. To be honest I was really put off by the price. $22 for a sandwich? But it was late and I could have eaten the table to be honest so I ponied up for a Miami-Style Cuban sandwich for me and one for my better half. She also got a Cortadito Bonito (coffee with chocolate) and I got a Café Bombon (coffee with sweetened condensed milk) It was promising how clean and nicely decorated the place was - I particularly liked the copper-colored wiring enclosures and lighting that they had but everything had a sense of style. Another good sign- every table was occupied at 2 in the afternoon. The sandwiches arrived and, after just one bite, I knew I had invested wisely. These sandwiches were incredibly flavorful with very tender pork and pickles and a delightful sauce. The bread is home-made. The rice and beans were also delicious with a sauce atop the rice that, you guessed it, was wonderful. As I sit here and write this I'm still glad I went and also still full from the food and coffee I so enjoyed yesterday afternoon. If you're in the area don't be put off by the price - it will be an investment your taste buds will be glad you made. read more

I was on my honeymoon and we really enjoyed this restaurant and we went 3 days in a row for lunch around 12-2pm and they would run out of potato's 3-4 hours before close every single day, like potato's are on a good amount of the menu items why not just get enough potato's to last the the whole day and whatever you don't use roll over to the next day. Potato's don't go bad overnight. If you are consistently running out then you obviously not buying enough. Other than that the food was some found in Arkansas! My favorites from the Vegan Delight was the mushrooms, black beans, and avocado toast. I went next door and ordered the blueberry lavender matcha latte w/oat milk; it was the absolute best I've ever had! Slightly sweet, but with full earthy tones and creamy with bits of blueberry pulp. The service was amazing! Arkansas has some really nice people. There's only two people running this cute restaurant, but they do a darn good job with preparing the food in a time crunch. Stopped by for breakfast based on the great reviews, but had a less than stellar experience. The cafe was very smoky when entering- it seemed like their exhaust wasn't working that day. Decided to order a few items and was told by the friendly hostess it would be a long wait. Totally understandable given the amount of people visiting from the nearby Hot Springs. I then noticed numerous flies in the front area which I found extremely concerning. I asked for a refund which they promptly gave me. I can't comment on the food as I didn't try anything, but overall was concerned about the cleanliness of the restaurant. read more
