Over priced. Mediocre food. Three friends went and none of us were crazy about our food.

Finally had a chance to try this place out tonight and glad we did. The Brussels sprouts were fabulous, as was the braised pork special. The ML burger was one of the best burgers I've had in years. We loved the ambiance and the patio area, although it was slightly too warm with the heaters overhead. I'm sure it would be fine in January though! A little on the pricey side, but overall I liked the food and the feel. Will definitely be back. read more

Great neighborhood restaurant in Bloomfield. Nice décor. I really liked the Brussels Sprouts and Otto Farm chicken. The burgers are really good as well. Smaller restaurant, gets a little noisy sometimes. But still really enjoyed dining there. read more

Good food and I love Bill Roberts restaurants. One thing about his places are his awesome unusual breads. This place does serve any bread prior to a meal and I think that is a miss. It is also very pricey for a neighborhood establishment. The food is very good. read more

Been there multiple times as it is extremely close to my house. Great food with some amazing vegan options that even I enjoy. Very flavorful food. The crowd can get a bit loud so not a great place for big groups. read more

My husband & just ate here tonight for dinner and loved it! Food: I got the ML burger (medium) and it was to die for! I also got the brussel sprouts and they were really good too. My husband got the pork chop dinner, and it was just okay - good, but nothing special. Service: no complaints. Waitress was great & on top of things. Also, we sat "outside" under a heater and it was comfortable. I've read concerns on yelp before about seating, but we had no problems. Overall, we recommend Cafe ML and can't wait to go back! read more

...Just Delish !! I had the Swordfish and it was the best I ever had !! It was so tasty that I asked if the chef would come out so I could tell him how thankful I was that he had made it for me :) He did and could not have been nicer. He told me that the fish had come from South Carolina and he, himself was very pleased. Also, we had the "ML Tabouli" appetizer and it was just so different and I loved it so, so much. Went for a bday dinner with 12. Atmosphere was fun food was average at best. Steak bowl over dressed. Veggie burger over salted. Ribs looked good and the people we were with said they tasted fine. Not impressed with this restaurant. I had waiting since its opening to try it out, but was always put off by the 45-60 minute wait in a cramped foyer. So, when a late evening found an open table, decided to give it a try. My impression? Overpriced...$10 for hard cider??? Really??? The small plates were ridiculously small and too expensive. . Underwhelmed with the food for the price as well Pretentious wait staff who was appalled with my request for bread with my salad. "We don't "do" bread" , he said. The noise level in the room was unpleasantly loud. The decor is trendy but not comfy . And the door to the women's bathroom competes with the wait staff's exit from the kitchen....and the door takes way too long to close. I love Beverly Hills Grill. Decent service. Great wine selection. The bartenders are great and make awesome cocktails. Nice, comfortable atmosphere, but a bit noisy. The food is good. I can appreciate variety, but between the tacos, kung pao chicken and burgers, it's hard to know what they're going for with their menu. Save room for dessert though. Everything about this place mediocre. Service was ok and a bit pushy as it was lunch time, but our waiter inquired about ordering alcoholic drinks, twice. He also asked us what wanted for dessert before inquiring if we even wanted dessert. MySteak tacos were ok. I asked for corn tortillas, but was brought flour. The tomato bisque was light and refreshing. Ans the Korean wings, although a bummer since boneless, we delicious with a lot of heat. Cool atmosphere, very modern yet cozy. Crispy brussel sprout appetizer was superb and enough to split between four people. My friends ordered the Steak Frites and Kobe Beef bowl which they all enjoyed. I ordered Blistered Gerber's Amish Farm Chicken, it came with farro, which was probably the main reason I ordered it. I love farro and you dont often find it as an option in restaurants. It was delicious. I could have done with a bit less sauce, the farro was drowning in it a little and it was a bit too sweet. The chicken was very well cooked, I would order this again. Moscow Mules are yummy here. read more

This was my second time at this eatery the first time was good ! But the second time was horrible service we sat for ten minutes before I had to get up and ask the hostess if we could get some kind of service . She proceeded towards the back of the kitchen and are waiter appeared a few minutes later and { Michael } came and said he was sorry but he was helping put a Birthday Cake together in the back . Oh and the cake came out and it wasn't even for a table he was waiting on ! He brought our drink order and then we had to ask him what the specials were he didn't even offer ! He placed our order and the appetizers came out within 10 minutes , it took 45 more minutes after that to get our meal and he never once checked to see if we wanted refills between then on our beverages . Might I also add that the dish that was brought for my husband was lukewarm while my dish was piping hot and he didn't even bring it to us . After we ate he came up and asked us if we wanted desert and he looked over at my husband and said I see your desert you smoke the same brand as me ! I ordered desert and coffee the desert came but no coffee , the hostess or who I thought was the hostess she claimed she was the manager [ she looked like she was about 20 ] said I'm sorry for the delay I took your desert off the bill . And then the coffee came and I said no thanks ! This place is not cheap and the portions are very small ! I have been a loyal customer to Beverly Grill and Town Tavern but I can tell you I won't be going back to this eatery anytime soon ! It was AWFUL ! read more

My husband and I stopped in last night, a Tuesday, to check out ML. We were impressed by the hip, enticing menu, but were soon put on our guard by the soup of the day, a glutinous, bland cream of chicken, which was ominously suggestive of something that began life as a packaged soup starter mix. I don't believe that it did, but that's what it tasted like. The lobster risotto, touted as a house fave by the delightful, efficient young woman who waited on us, was only O.K. The steak was small, thin, and overpriced, the hand-cut fries, also recommended to us as "amazing," were merely adequate, though the accompanying kale was excellent. We neither asked for bread, nor was it offered. The least expensive cab-by-the-glass was surprisingly good. Were we to venture back, I would like to try the steak salad and the brussels sprouts, both of which have been reviewed enthusiastically here. Not sure that's going to happen, though. read more

I've been eating at BVH for years so finally made my way here. Asked the waitress here opinion on the bowls...she made a face. Told me the a Salmon was good, asked if the Salmon salad was good she said "nothing special". So I paid $26 for a piece of farm raised salmon sprinkled with mango and on a bed of watery, flavorless rice. I ate the salmon which was fine, left the rice and wished I hadn't asked the waitress anything-she doesn't have any menu knowledge. My daughter's short rib pork buns were good, thank god she ordered fries- hand cut and crispy. I ate those. Husband had trout it wasn't over the top but it was fine. I'm wishing I'd just had a burger. Not sure if I feel like giving them another $100 though. read more

My fiance and I stopped into Cafe ML because she wanted to take me somewhere as a surprise. Having never been there but hearing good things, she figured it fit my tastes. We waited for about 45 minutes for a table and the bar was packed. After being seated, our waiter outlined the specials. He was very friendly and asked what we like to eat so he could make recommendations. They change their menu on a seasonal basis so we had some fall specials. We ordered 2 small plates and one entree to share as well as a dessert to share. The serving sizes are notably small, especially with my big Midwestern appetite. However, each dish was very good, with the dessert being outstanding. We had the salted caramel pot de creme, with popcorn on top. Oh snap I wish I had some right now. The waiter said we were adventurous eaters and actually brought out the manager to talk with us regarding how we enjoyed the meal. She talked to us for over 15 minutes about restaurants and places we liked. Overall, this was a great meal with fantastic service. The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is the price to serving size ratio. read more

Pleasant atmosphere. Nice carrying service. Food was great; we got the Otter chicken, which tastes really good with a mixture of flavors for a lighter dish. We also got the Singapore noodles with a lot of food and super yummy sauce. Their civeche with shrimp is slightly different but tastes good as well. read more

Great new food option! Roasted Brussels sprouts are a winner for an appetizer and creative, light, fish entrees. When it's warm the outside seating will help but the bar area is cramped. Can't wait to go back. read more

I grew up around this area, and I've been to ML the last few times I've been in town. It's nice to finally see a neighborhood spot, that isn't a pizza place, or a chain restaurant. I love the Brussels sprouts , and their burgers are great. Definitely will be back ! read more

Do NOT order the Turkey breast. It's not what you think and not good. Served in a bowl-like plate and about equivalent to a can of turkey soup with less fluid. Chef should not let this dish make it to the menu. Flavorless. read more

Love the atmosphere of the place and service is great. The kale salad is a must have and both the buffalo and ML burger are delicious.

This is a fine, casual dining restaurant. The staff is friendly, and accommodates patrons seating choices without hesitation. Menu selections are uniquely created to please consumers looking for appetizing food at reasonable prices. Portions are modest, very satisfying to the taste buds, and often memorable. The chefs are doing a fine job in keeping the quality of entrees noticeably consistent. This fact makes it easy to chose Cafe ML for return visits. Surprisingly, the owners and the chefs would do well by their customers, and for the image of Cafe ML, by changing their current provider of cut French fries, and by the way those fries are prepared. As a teenager in Detroit, I prepared and served French fries at a Greek Restaurant. I have been eating French fries since 1945. Today, at age 89, I can say that the French fries at Cafe ML. Four of us were celebrating what was anticipated to be a special birthday. Fish Tacos were so disappointing with semi-raw flour tortillas, dry fish, bland flavor. We wanted to try Cafe ML after reading some good reviews online. The food, atmosphere and service did not disappoint us. The place was very crowded, but we got our table after just a 10 minute wait. We had the featured soup, crispy brussels sprout for a starter and jerk shrimp/king crab risotto as the main course. The quantity was just right and all the dishes tasted very good. We finished our meal with a Ricoto cheesecake and Cappucino. The service was excellent and every person who spoke to us during our meal was very courteous. We enjoyed our dinner and would definitely come back to/recommend Cafe ML. read more

Its about time a restaurant group finally decided to go with a fresh healthy approach in the area. Everything on the menu is light, clean, and vibrant. The way the food is prepared is pretty much in its natural state, meaning, they don't douse everything with salt and butter and sauces. The appetizer choices are amazing. The hommous and veggy plate, delicious. The tuna poke on sesame crackers, amazing. The tabbouli with pomegranate seeds and pistachios, perfect. I'am not a huge fan of salmon, because everywhere i go its fishy and oily. ML has perfected the technique of preparing a beautiful piece of fish. It is simply steamed and the flavor and texture is just clean, bright, flaky fish. The best plate of salmon i have ever had..the beans they serve underneath it are amazing as well. The steak salad here is unbelievable. A huge portion of meat and greens to fill you up. Something a dinner entree salad should do if your ordering a salad for dinner! This place is my fav in the area so far. Koudos to the chef for preparing healthy mindful food! read more
