Even if I can't have my own cat, I'm happy to visit a cat café to interact with some cats and support with my attention and money. Maybe they have to close due to slow business is. There was only three people in my hour and two the next. The half hour sessions seem to be more popular with maybe a dozen people. I used to come here more often until I discovered Meow Parlour. It's much much cleaner and brighter and spacious. It doesn't bother me but Koneko cats tend to be older and less playful which may be not as fun for some guests. I find it calming to watch sleeping cats or just observing them roam around. Not sure when Koneko started offering drinks for all full hour bookings regardless of time. It used to be limited to their happy hour session which would end up being almost $30. This time, the drinks are included and a limited selection is included. Matcha, lattes, and mochas are $3 extra. I think it's fair. I got the oolong four season and was impressed with it. In general I don't expect a cat café to have good tasting food/drinks because the focus is on cats. I wonder if they cold brew all their teas because I saw the barista prepping batches of other teas. The long steeps can also explain why I think there's slight bitterness from the oolong, but it's very subtle. The oolong was refreshing and had an aftertaste and wouldn't taste diluted even with ice in it. Impressed.

Naturally, reservations required; you can make one hour or 30 minute session time slots for yourself online. Cute merch, a little 25 and under for me (ears on hats, that sort of thing), but hey- if you like something, I will not judge if you wear it. There are in fact three levels; my favorite was a pretty outside deck. The trees losing the occasional leaf captured all the cats' attention. No picking cats up, but if a cat jumped in your lap, you were allowed to feel the win! Lots and lots of petting went on, minimal swatting and hissing. No shoes allowed. Not sure about the coffee, just had a Poppi.

The only thing I would say was the bagel was like six out of 10 or seven out of 10 rating a little too soft even after a light toasting. But fresh. and they have a delicious pistachio croissant. Nice diverse crowd. Some tourists coming off Intrepid and Circle Line but mostly New Yorkers Check it out

They had quite the options when it came to either having like a lunch, breakfast, pastries along with coffee and lattes. We decided to go with chicken and waffles and classic breakfast of eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Everything was made fresh and didn't take long. Everything was good we enjoyed our breakfast and our shakes. I will definitely visit them again if I'm ever in the neighborhood to try their other menu options. Seems like a good chill out spot as well to eat at work or just read a book while you enjoy your food or drink.
