The food was delicious. We started with samosas which were slightly burnt but tasted fine. These were served with the typical mint and tamarind chutneys. I ordered the Lamb Saag combo (included naan and a soft drink) and asked that it be very spicy , which met my expectations. My wife got the Vegetable Biryani combo. It came with a bowl of Chole (a very tasty chick pea curry), naan, raitha, Mirchi ka salan (a small sample of chili peanut curry) and a soft drink. The large container of biryani had potatoes, corn, and peas. Service was quick. The only positive thing about the ambiance was some Indian background music. The seats were metal and the room was quite chilly. Food was delivered in takeout plastic containers with paper plates and plastic utensils. All of this was counterbalanced by the size of the servings - all of the customers that we saw left with carry out bags. read more

The butter chicken was way too sweet and very chunky. I'm used to it being very smooth with balanced flavor. The tikka masala was also very chunky and the flavor was pretty bland. The naan is some of the best naan I've had. This place feels overpriced for the quality and portions and the fact that it is a casual, take away restaurant. Service was standard and satisfactory. It's like fast food but better. I had biryani, the best I've had out of all the Indian places in Utah County. It's a large portion with several creamy and savory sauces to apply at your pleasure. They have some of the best Butter Chicken! I have never been let down when I've ordered it. I like a little bit of spice, so I order 'HOT'. But if you only like a little spice the 'Medium' is good. I was out running errands and didn't have time for lunch but was literally drawn in to the amazing smell from out in the parking lot! I was curious just to stop in and check it out. The smell was even more amazing! I had to just order something! Garlic naan to go for times sake but was drooling over the rest of the menu. I promised him I would be back in as soon as I could and bring my family with me! I finally tried Cafe Namasthe after hearing great things. I got the butter chicken. The portion was very good size. It could definitely feed 2. The sauce was sweet but then also had a kick. I'm really confused by the other reviews on here. I think I've eaten at almost every Indian place in Utah/Salt Lake valley because I love Indian food. I didn't exactly keep track but this place was probably the cheapest or one of the cheapest of any I've been to and the taste definitely reflects that. The food wasn't bad by any means (as I said I love Indian food), but compared to every other Indian restaurant I've been to around here it was the worst. All the other reviews seem to disagree with me so maybe I just got a bad order but the consensus of the group I went with was that this was like the fast food version of Indian food compared to some of the other places that are more like fine dining in quality and price. It could also just be the juxtaposition of this and little India right across the street that makes the quality seem that much worse. Anyway, the food is good for the price, but if you're looking for higher quality (and more expensive) go to little india. read more

Our company makes large orders every day. Today we decided to try our Cafe Namasthe. Food was decent but they messed up our order and missed several meals. Why they are getting a 1 star review is because when we called to get our orders fixed they continued to tell us that we were wrong. They also called back several times to continue to argue with us telling us we are wrong. We aren't even trying to get a refund we just wanted what we paid for. Horrible customer service. Mistakes happen all the time, especially an order over $200. But they way they treated us is crazy. Our company makes these orders every day and their horrible attitude and the way they treated us makes sure we never go back. First off got the food to go. Excellent service a nice young boy greeted me at the door and quickly grab my to go order. He was extremely personable I tried out the butter chicken with garlic naan. The garlic naan was good would have liked to taste the garlic more but a nice size piece. The butter chicken I ordered medium spice. It was delicious but a little on the sweet side. I thought this place was awesome. It's more of a fast Indian food feel, not a fancy sit down restraunt. The casual atmosphere was perfect for us and we really enjoyed how clean everything was. The decorating is super cute, too. Lots of bright colors. Also this place is deceptively huge, despite what the front looks like. Lots of space and seating room. The food options seemed to mirror a lot of what I've seen at other Indian places. Butter chicken, chicken korma, Marsala, etc. I got the chicken korma and garlic naan combo. Just FYI getting an entree and naan without the combo is only 50 cents cheaper than getting the combo with a drink, so I think the combo is worth it. The naan blew my mind. Sooooo good!!!! The service here is impeccable. We're always treated with respect and appreciation. The food is always incredibly delicious, even the dishes that aren't our favorite still come across as really well made. During COVID-19, this restaurant has stepped up to provide the most sanitary and safe atmosphere we've seen anywhere while not imposing on our choice to not wear masks. We do the same by keeping our distance and keeping to ourselves. The chicken korma is my favorite so far. I need to branch out and try new things, but beyond tiki masala and CK I figure I've already found my true Indian cuisine loves. I like pairing that with the garlic naan, always lightly fried combined with softness and crunch. We dig exploring new appetizers and the chicken kebob thrilled our pallet. There's a sweetness with the coconut sauce that's creamy to the last drop. The flavored onions on the side might not be your jam, but I liked adding it for crunch. Prices are a bit high for a place like this (casual dining similar to Cafe Rio), but totally worth it for the quality and taste. Just pretend you're in a sit down restaurant and not a cafe. Everything we ordered was delicious! Every bit as good as our favorite sit down Indian restaurant. First of all, they have a real tandoor oven! I watched them make naan from scratch, and you can taste it. It is outstanding! Everything we tried was delicious. Even my extremely picky 5 year old wouldn't stop eating. He loved the chicken fried rice, and the curries. That's saying something! 4 in our group had the chicken tikka masala, and it was very good. The chicken fried rice was a huge portion. It has veggies and crispy chicken in it. It's delicious! One person ordered the chicken korma, which was excellent as well. I had the Malai kofta, and I think it was the best of all the dishes. A nice creamy curry with paneer and potato dumplings. If you get any curry dish in a combo it comes with rice, naan, and a drink. We didn't find any of it too spicy. Four in our party were children, including the picky 5 year old, and none of them complained about spiciness. I think I might order mine spicier next time. Best Indian food I've had in Utah County. The curry's have deep, rich, complex flavors with tender chunks of chicken and tasty rice. The butter naan was ultra-fresh from the oven and coated with a light layer of butter. Tender bites with edges of crispness and perfect for dipping in the curry. I went with the Korma chicken curry and it was a knockout. A little sweet, a little spicy, deep flavor. Portions were nice also. I was filled after eating only half of my food and took the rest to go. Things tend on the spicier side for some dishes. I thought the spice was just right but my wife was a little overwhelmed with this spicy hotness. Prices seem a little on the higher side but it's definitely good food. The service was excellent - everyone was super kind, attentive, and helpful. Decor isn't notable but it is a very clean, minimalist place. This is a great place for take out. read more

Ordered online with ease and food was ready when I went in for pickup. This place is an order at the counter and then sit to be served establishment. If you order online they have a counter up front on the left, behind the line, where they place online orders. The only sign is at the pickup place so I stood in line waiting to see the sign where my food was. The Samosas were excellent and the sauces that came with them were great. The Chicken Masala and Chicken Korma were both excellent with the korma being my favorite of the two. The garlic naan was good and a lot, next time I will order 1 for the two of us. read more

Gotten food poisoning TWICE here. The first time i went on my own hoping that it would be a good new Indian place in town but it wasn't. I got both the Butter chicken and Chicken Tiki Masala. Im pretty sure the chicken was raw or just not cooked right. My friend got the Lamb curry and Paneer. And he got sick too. The service is alright, cant really complain about it other than they barley speak english but that's expected. The place itself was completely empty both time. No wonder.
