Came here because the other Indian restaurant was packed and this had good reviews. I honestly don't know why, the curries had hardly any meat, wasn't very flavorful, and there's no option to set your spice level. We took our grandma here and she can't do spicy, but there's no indication of it being spicy so we thought it would be okay. It definitely heats your mouth so I felt bad when she specifically didn't want anything spicy. It also sucked that the water from the fountain tasted TERRIBLE so you can't even cool off with water. There's no actual service but they ask for tip before you get your food, we even had to ask someone to clean our table. We ate in the restaurant but everything still came in cheap plastic Tupperware. For the price you would think it's a nice sit down restaurant but you get a fast casual food experience for twice the cost. If you like Indian food you'll love this place. Best one we've found in northern Utah county. We did takeout and ate family style. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Massala, Chicken Coconut Korma, and Chicken Butter. All were fantastic. The proportions were large and allowed a good amount of food for each dish for the four of us. We ordered all dished at their lowest spice level, but even so the Tikki Massala was a little spicy for my wife. She does struggle a little with spicy food and conversely I wished we had gotten all the dishes a little spicier. The spice adds such a rich complex flavor. Normally rice is not review worthy, but in this case I'll make an exception. Their steamed Basmati rice is exceptional. We ordered more than we thought we needed and are glad we did. We ordered their chicken Tika Masala and Butter chicken (just to be safe) the butter chicken was good, but the tika masala was not what we expected. Such a great find! We ordered online and brought the food home. The portions are big, along with the flavors. I ordered the Chicken Korma and was not disappointed. It paired well with naan bread and was a very filling meal. We also ordered the Butter Chicken and that was another favorite we all liked. The rice was really good too. A great spice level for me but maybe a little too much for the others. Chicken biryani had a great flavor and aroma-- plenty of chicken that tasted great though initially a little hard to find buried in the rice. CONS: they were busy and service was slow. Order came out piece meal which was annoying. The only other negative I can say that the menu is a bit hard to sift through. If you don't know Indian food then you really have to teas the descriptions. And they have a big curry section but seemed to me like all the dishes weren't necessarily curry. I can't even begin to describe how much I enjoy this location. The butter chicken is rich and filled with flavor. It's so good you can't stop eating it, but you should because you're so full. The Naan is tear drop shaped and fluffy, which makes it the perfect compliment to a well rounded curry. Be warned, the curry does have a slow burn. It's not going to make you run to the toilet hours later, but it does give you some dragon fire breathing powers. The biriyani is well flavored and aromatic. I was so excited to discover a new Indian place nearby! We love Indian food and I make a lot of curry at home. Cafe Namasthe did not disappoint. We tried the hariyali veg kabob, medium chole masala, and the spicy chicken korma. We also got naan. All were well balanced in the spices and cooked just right. The portions were generous and plenty to share with the family. I really like that they have a variety of options as far as vegetarian and vegan go as well. It's a great place to look into if you have a variety of eaters in your party. As far as spice levels go, I love a hot spicy dish and they are not afraid to make it so, which is awesome because lots of Utah places shy away from it, which I find frustrating. There are three spiciness options (medium, spicy, and Indian spicy). The first was very mild for us (though it seems other reviews found that to have a kick), and then the middle option goes up considerably in heat. It was great for me, but my 12yo wished there was a spice level in between the mild choice and spicy. The first wasn't enough heat and the second was too much for her. I was pretty sure I could handle Indian spicy, but would like to work up to it with something in between as well. I do think there is room to add a few more levels if they'd like. So just be aware that the levels they have jump considerably if you are sensitive to that. read more

Both just tasted overly sweet, the base flavors weren't bad but we missed the spice/kick that we normally get from other Indian restaurants when we order these dishes. If you don't like spicy food but enjoy the flavors of Indian cooking this would be a good place to get tikka masala but just wasn't for us. The chicken in both dishes was super tender though! This is more of a heads up and did not impact the rating I gave since they can't control who visits their restaurant when.
