Cafe Nola I accidentally ended up at this spot - I intended to go somewhere else for brunch, but mixed up the locations. Since I was a solo diner, it was best to sit at the bar (plus, there were no tables available). I ordered the french toast that comes with eggs and bacon, and I also ordered a biscuit and a roasted potatoes sides. The food here is simple, but cooked well. The french toast was thick and fluffy (it came with an apple cinnamon compote that I didn't eat much of), bacon was crispy, the biscuit was buttery, the eggs weren't too runny or hard, and the potatoes were soft with crispy skin. The menu isn't super creative or innovative, but it's good fuel to start your day.

Cool vibe! We came late night and just had beers. The kitchen was closed but I do want to come back for dinner soon. There's a stage for music and the inside is really nice!

Omgggg. Loved this place! Was visiting from out of town and wanted a cute cafe! Was told it is also open late night with a band on the weekends. Would love to come back and see it. We did have to wait, for two people it was about a 20 minute wait, not too bad. the seasonal latte was amazing! Obsessed. The biscuits and gravy weren't due for! I love up north now and don't often get these. When I am back in town again I will be stopping by for sure! My new favorite brunch spot in Fredrick. also at a good price!

A hard pass for me. Stopped by with my two friends today for brunch. We all drove about 30-40 minutes to meet up and try this cafe out, and boy did it disappoint. We were greeted by a host with bangs who told us the wait would be 15 minutes and to wait in the vestibule. Okay no problem. The vestibule was cold and people filtered both in and out from the street, letting the cold windy air in. We waited and waited watching people enter the cafe. Thats when we noticed the hostess had seated 9 parties (larger than our 3) before us. At which point I walk back in to check in. The hostess looked alarmed that we are still waiting, even though we had done exactly as she instructed and waited out of the way. That is when I had asked if they took reservations, to which she replied "no". I had checked myself the day before. So she admitted to seating the SEVERAL parties before us within that statement. When we were finally seated, we were quite literally shoved in a corner by a door. My friend and I could not feel our toes by the end of our meal and catch up. (I had on Uggs) Our server was friendly and attentive. The food and coffee was good, but not good enough to EVER return. The cafe also appeared dirty and the bathroom spelled of mildew.

As a server, you generally are able to judge your own server to a fuller extent, and usually more harshly as you can hold them to the same expectations you're held to. Sam W was a great server, and made my first time at Cafe Nola an amazing experience. I got the banana foster hot latte and side of biscuit w/ sausage gravy and they were both delicious. The hostess at the front was also really nice and welcoming.

We stopped in after a hike and wanted to get some brunch. This place was very busy but we were seated pretty quickly. The place is simple but comfortable decor. Service was ok. The food was good, straightforward and simple but the taste was good. Definitely a nice place to stop.

Stopped by Nola this weekend for a quick breakfast with a friend. The space is lively and welcoming to all. We were seated faster than I anticipated for such a busy morning! I got an iced coffee with almond milk which was really refreshing and didn't feel too caffeinated/bitter. I had the French toast, eggs and sausage. The texture of the sausages was not my favorite but the dish was filling. My French toast was crispy on the edges and soft in the middle! My friend had the turkey club and said it was really protein packed, the side of fruits were fresh too. I really appreciated the inclusivity of cafe Nola, the quick but kind services and simple breakfast/lunch options.

Coffee taste burnt. The only seasoning they know is salt and pepper. And not to mention the hostess is rude. But the server was nice.

Ask the Community - Cafe Nola

Do they still have open mic nights on Mondays?

Could I just get a black bean burger here aside from the black bean wrap/beyond burger?

Is their bar open weekday mornings for mimosas?

I believe it is, there was no time restriction on drunks but we prefers mimosas close to 11 am on a weekday.

And saw the "under" orientation of the toilet paper, which violates the original patent for toilet paper holders from 1891, where the paper clearly goes over the top. The "over" configuration: * prevents the roll from brushing the wall * makes it easier to grab with one hand * reduces accidental unrolling * and, most importantly, does not make decent people feel like they're living in a lawless society. What you have here is bathroom anarchy. I must admit that tile and brushed metal fixtures actually look really nice, which somehow makes the backward roll even more upsetting. It's like a beautifully plated meal served on the floor. Moreover, the ceiling contains approximately 400 judgmental eyes observing you while you attempt to live your life. The wallpaper on the ceiling (on the ceiling!!!) has a pattern based on the "evil eye" motif (sometimes called nazar), which shows up in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern design. Traditionally it's supposed to ward off bad luck or jealousy. All it does in this case is confirm the establishment has abandoned reason and at least one of the people who work has met a psychedelic mushroom. Still, the vibe everywhere else in this place is amazing and the coffees are very very good!

There is a long bar area and also a smaller bar area near the cashier area for seating. The place is warm and cozy, definitely a place where the baristas will start to know your orders. We noticed an outdoor seating area but couldn't see the space fully to know how big it was. -service was friendly and served with smiles -I didn't see a whole lot of food options. Luckily, we came on a Saturday, when waffles are served. -tons of coffee, tea options. And hot cocoa for the kids. They even put whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. My daughter felt very fancy! -waffles were delicious! Fluffy and filling! Kid approved! Cons -possibly a few more food options. I only saw toast and waffles (only on weekends) We had a great experience and would absolutely return again!

Since the building used to be a gas station, the Cafe has placed picnic tables outside for those who want to enjoy the fresh air on a warm day. The decor is whimsical, warm and cozy. You can buy fresh produce from a mini farm stand inside the cafe as well as honey and other products. You'll find the standard drink fare on the menu: coffee and tea. There was a small sign near the register (I almost missed it) that stated apple cider was available, which I ended up choosing. I was little disappointed in the drink selection because I'd hoped to buy a matcha latte, but it was not on the menu above the register. I did discover that they do have matcha lattes on the *online* menu as well as other food items that were not advertised inside the cafe. The lady taking the orders was very nice, but I felt bad because she seemed a little overwhelmed. A gentleman stood in the kitchen baking and completing food orders. I noticed that there were fresh croissants and other baked goods sitting on the counter in the kitchen, but the only baked items available to purchase were cookies. I visited at approximately 9:45 on a Saturday morning (the cafe opened at 9:00), so I was surprised to see that none of the other baked good were displayed for purchase. I would have enjoyed a good croissant, but they were being kept in the back. The cafe was also eerily silent. There were maybe ten people inside, including small groups who arrived together, but no one spoke. Maybe everyone was a little bleary-eyed and still waking up, but is was kind of unnerving how silent everyone was. Don't get me wrong, it was the perfect setting for someone who needed to study, but no one was doing that. I certainly don't blame that on the Cafe, but it would be nice if there was some nice music playing softly in the background. I can't say that I had the best experience at The Station Market and Cafe, but I wouldn't deter others from trying it out themselves. Maybe I was there on an off day.
