What a great little find, we're on our way to Thurmond and stopped here for lunch. My wife got the Mediterranean quesadilla which had olives artichoke hearts that a cheese, she loved it. 110 Cafe Burger and it was delicious, had a fried green tomato on it and mention the homemade french fries! My daughter is a third year medical student and is doing her rotations in Beckley. When we first moved her in, we decided to order dinner to go. I researched my trusty yelp App and we decided to try Cafe One Ten. So very happy with our choice! I ordered their special. I don't remember what it was called, but it was some wrapped and deep fried cheeseburger concoction. It was out of this world mouthwateringly delicious. Not posh or cookie cutter but also not visually cluttered. Now the food! The desserts here are special. I didn't do a good job of checking those options and leaving room so if you are a dessert person plan ahead. Fortunately, several cake options could be boxed for take out. Cake was moist and delicious as a snack later. The side salad was fresh and delicious. It was a perfect side salad size and the waitress brought it before the meal which I appreciated. Excellent house made thousand island dressing. Perfect. The fried catfish was perfect and sizable. The chicken with barbecue, honey mustard cheese and bacon was delicious. It featured delicate strands of red onion friend in a batter. Outstanding and the perfect size. Grilled vegetables were a nice mix and well prepared. This was not a mushy pile of squash and zucchini. The was a more interesting and colorful mix properly sautéed. The garlic smashed potatoes was very good and not like anything I had eaten in that category. Thank you, thank you, thank you to this place!! We stopped in on our drive from Pittsburgh to Miami after a long time in the car. We walked in without knowing they were closing in 22 minutes. Luckily they still sat us and fed us! We were hyper aware of the time and that the staff probably wanted to leave (we both worked as servers so we know and hate the feeling when people walked in right before closing). Instead the server was SO kind to us and reassured us that it was fine. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We got the blackened catfish sandwich and the chicken fingers with honey mustard - both with fries. The food was so so good. I wouldn't have blamed them if they had rushed it to get us out, but that wasn't the case. The portions were generous, everything was delicious, and we had an amazing time. We walked in at 3:38pm on a Sunday and out at 4:05pm and this is one of our favorite stops on our 10 day trip. Thank you and can't wait to come back!! read more

The Rueben was hot, with plenty of corned beef. The only comment is that I kind of wish they had toasted the bread. OK. That's it. I'm done complaining. It was flavorful and utterly delicious. The mac and cheese is, as my wife would term it, "an occasion of sin." It was creamy, amazing and among the very best mac and cheese I have ever had. This isn't just hyperbole. We were looking to duck away from Fayetteville for a while during Bridge Day weekend and came to Cafe One Ten after reading some reviews on Yelp. Definitely worth a visit if you're near the area! I ordered the fried mushrooms, the honey chicken sriracha sandwich (which I think was a daily special, not a normal menu item?) and a slice of pumpkin cheesecake. The fried mushrooms were delivered piping hot with an excellently-seasoned battered coating. Dipped in ranch, this appetizer certainly did its job - my tongue was watering for the next part of the meal! The honey sriracha chicken sandwich was a definite pleaser. The name of the sandwich made me wonder exactly what I would get - a chance that the sandwich could be way too sweet or WAY too spicy. Fortunately, Cafe One Ten married the two together perfectly and the sandwich was every bit as mouth-watering as the appetizer. My tongue wasn't burning but the sandwich had enough heat to bring the flavor up a notch. There was just enough honey to put the spice in check without overdoing it. Kudos for such a tasty treat! Then, on to dessert... The pumpkin cheesecake was out of this world. Again, not overly sweet - more of an adult take on desserts. Major points for not drowning out the flavors with pumpkin spice. Every bite was delicious without being overly rich or sweet. Very clean, very comfortable, and very friendly. It seemed as though there was a bit of tension in the place, which made it difficult to truly relax and fully enjoy the experience, which is why I'm not rating at 5-stars. We stopped in for brunch around 11:30 on a Friday. The lunch and daily specials looked amazing but we wanted some breakfast. The omelets are huge 3 "eggers." I had The Red with bacon ( I ordered it crispy and it was) and sourdough toast that was toasted on the griddle. Soooo good! The waitress made fresh pots at 11:30 for us. Asked server about the desserts listed on board. She described them and shared what she was working on in the kitchen. Strawberry cake w/ cream cheese frosting & strawberries, and a Watergate cake. (Google it ) Husband told server he had come in yesterday for coffee and place to sit and work while vacationing in the area. He was so impressed, he had to bring the family back for breakfast.
