This place was awesome! Not only was the food great, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was amazing. Out of a table of 8, everyone had a masterpiece delivered to them and there was more than enough food to go around. I had an amazing lamb shank with couscous that was perfectly spiced and tender. The owner, Chakib Marrakchi, was very attentive and informative and we had an excellent experience. One of the best middle eastern restaurants I've been to (Fyi I'm middle eastern ). Their appetizers in hummus and baba ghanoush sampler was so light and full of flavor. The main entree was also scrumptious, we ordered the Kabab entree with lamb shank which were out of this world. All the food had the right amount of spice and flavor. For dessert we ended up ordering the flan, it was perfect. Not too caramelized on the top but just the right consistency. Will definitely come back! read more

We went there because of the big "Gyros" sign but then realized it was serving more than just Gyros. We tried the Lamb Shank, which came with a nice salad with a flavorful vinagrette dressing. The lamb was tender, cooked in a saffron broth of veggies and spices and layed over a bed of couscous. We finished every bite. We'll be back to try something new next time! read more

My wife is part Middle Eastern and currently pregnant, so she's been craving middle eastern food for the longest time. We love to eat at hole in the wall restaurants because they're usually pretty good and this was no different. whenever we get a chance to come and eat here, we always get appetizers and make a meal out of them because the portion sizes are great. We ordered a Greek salad, chicken shawarma, gyro and the hot teas. The food was good but not the best I've ever had. Greek salad was probably the best out of everything dressing was great. The sandwiches were good but the meat was chopped up so small it was spilling out every where and the meat was a little dry. I would normally give 4 stars but the service was terrible. This wasn't our first time there, we didnt even eat last time because we sat there for so long we just left. This time it took him so long to take our order and it literally took 20 minutes to get us hot tea. When we were done we sat there for another 15 minutes before my husband got up to fake go use the bathroom to get the guy's attention because he was back there on the phone searching the web. I have eaten Moroccan food around the US and in Morocco. This is hands down the best I've had in the US. The host/owner is sweet and inviting, always willing to answer questions about the menu. Our favorites are the lamb couscous and tagines, the baba ghanoush, and the bastilla. Always accompanied by mint tea. My go to place when I travel to the Denver area. read more

Just got back from this place and it was great! My boyfriend loves this type of food and normally I am not a fan but I have to say that Cafe Paprika definitely changed my mind. By far the best Moroccan/Mediterranean food I have ever had. My boyfriend started with the cold mint tea and he loved it. We ordered the Middle Eastern Combo appetizer and the falafals were awesome as well as the humus and the pita bread. For entrees we had the lamb shank and the chicken tajine kadra and had it served on rice. I loved my chicken dish and would have licked the plate if it hadn't been such a large portion (but excited to have leftovers). My boyfriend's complaint about his dish was that he likes a lot of flavor and spice and he felt it was lacking some of that (he said it could have been spicier) but overall he said it was a good lamb dish. Normally I don't trust yelp around here because there aren't that many reviews of places but I feel like my trust in yelp has been restored. I will definitely be going back. Gyro was as good as gyros get, kebabs were excellent, as was the rice it was served on, though I only got 2 shrimp? Apricot chicken was ok, chicken was good but flavors were very mild (great if that's what you are looking for) and I'm not a huge fan of couscous, I should have ordered rice. The chicken bastilla is my new favorite food; the flavor combination is odd to a Western palate but so good! I was delighted to discover that this non-chain restaurant was fairly close to my hotel. The positive reviews are not deceptive; the food is good and Chakib is friendly and helpful. I ordered the hummus and falafel appetizer and the Moroccan tea per Chakib's suggestion to go along with my meal, and I was glad I did. For my entree, I ordered the preserved lemon and olive tajine with lamb, and I was pleasantly surprised at the strong flavor in the lemons, but they were not overpowering. All of the ingredients shined and mixed well. If you're not in to lemons, then this dish won't be for you, but there are plenty of other delicious looking items to choose from. We always order several of the chicken bastille, one to eat there, several to eat at home or give as gifts to family and neighbors. A very special dish. We went for my birthday dinner, and I admit I was a bit skeptical. It's tucked away in a small strip mall that looks like it should have check cashing and liquor stores in it. That said, I'm convinced Cafe Paprika is a hidden gem! It's a small, family-owned restaurant, and we had a fantastic time there. We asked for an appetizer recommendation and started with a chicken bastilla. It was an amazing combination of flakey dough and savory insides with a bit of sweet on the top. My step-dad had apricot chicken and loved it. I tasted a bite, and it was a bit on the sweet side but still tasted good. My mom had kadra tajine (potato, garbanzo stew) over cous cous. It was wonderful, and she equated it to Indian food. I ended up having the artichoke and olive tajine. Mine was a wonderfully salty combination that reminded me of Greek food. The olives and artichokes were both salty, but not too salty. We all took advantage of the mint tea, which was wonderful as well. None of us had much experience with Moroccan food, but I can guarantee we'll be back! I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

The mint tea didn't come in a fancy pot but they kept my cup full so less work for me. The pita bread was made fresh, and was probably among the best I've had.
