Sampler Salad Plate.
Stacy M.

We had to try this place today after I read about it. We were greeted by a very pleasant waitress, Anastasia with fresh bread & butter. Our drinks were cold Armenian flavored soda (Pomagranit & Peach). We decided to try things out with a sampler plate of Jajukh, Russian Potato Salad and Armenian BBQ Veggie Salad. All wonderful in flavor. For your main course we had their Stuffed Cabbage (which was a different play on Polish Golabki) which was very tasty! We a tually took our leftovers home south us! Everything was fresh and then folks are very nice. We will go back as I am interested in trying their Kebabs and other specialties.

We were immediately sat on the patio around 5:45 PM. We were greeted and given "welcome bubbles". What a nice touch. After about 5 minutes, we were finally given menus. Other people were sat around us, so we waited to ask for the happy hour menu. We ordered the chef's choice charcuterie, a cocktail, and a glass of wine. The drinks and board were yum, but not quite a wine bar as there were very limited option by the glass. Also, we had to ask for plates and silverware where this is a basic item. While deciding on dinner, we were approached a couple times by the 2 servers in the section. One was friendly, the other, not so much, rather indifferent and made us feel a little uncomfortable and not very welcome. This kind of set the tone for the rest of our night. We ordered the "family share" chateaubriand. We realize this is an expensive cut, but the portion is definitely not a sharing cut, around 4 oz. It is closer to a single entree. When it arrived, the plate was cold, like the meat was lukewarm and the cauliflower was ice cold. Again, we had to ask for silverware and plates for this "family style shareable" plate. We brought the cauliflower temperature up with the server and got new cauliflower after we were done with the rest of the meal. Also, I sat with an empty wine glass and no one stopped to ask if I needed another glass. When the servers did stop by, it was a short interaction and we never even had a chance to ask before they were already walking away. We saw so many people come in and out that they must be doing something right, but for us, our experience was mediocre. If our meal would have been the correct temperature (it was well prepared, just cold) and better execution on the service, we may have had a better experience.

Two others had a couple of the special cocktails on the menu and loved them. We decided to order six appetizers, two main courses, and two desserts. We split everything four ways so it ended up like a nine course tasting menu experience. Who knew cabbage could be so good? Haha!!! Standout dishes were the qual, clams, borscht, warm salad and the desserts. The place is small so reservations advised. Wait staff and cooks are friendly. Aside - one person in our party wasn't enthused about Eastern European cuisine and was a convert by the end. If you enjoy well-prepared, delicious food full of taste, check out Molotov. There is a reason this was rated one of the top restaurants in the US a few years ago.

He gave us recommendations and was proud of how much food we ordered between two asian women. The affirmation paired well with the food. Our favorite was the Clambasa. I was worried the kielbasa would overpower the littleneck clams but it was perfect together. You can taste all the ingredients in the dish well. The bone marrow was gone before I could take a picture---rightfully so. But the horseradish mustard blew my mind. The ONLY reason I'm not raving anout the Shuba salad is because a good friend of mine makes it so much better. No skin off of Molotov's back at all, homemade at custom to me will always win. The quail was a disappointing. I didn't notice that the sauce was listed as BBQ. I could not taste the quail. By the time the Porchetta came, we were readilly full...but that didn't matter. Crisp, fatty and flavorful. I recommend the horseradish horilka for all the dishes. Lastly, the pistachio blintz. "Not too sweet," is the Asian's highest praise to any dessert and this deserves it. LOVELY and light. A perfect end to a rich and savory dinner. And no, do not pair this with the horseradish horlike (just in case you were wondering). For this visit, my sister and I decided to sit in the patio area and sit under their local resident regular, the squirell in the tree (his name is Vlad, but his street name is Chad). But next time, I would op to sit inside. It is very cozy with PLENTY of things for your eyes to scrutinize. The first visit was not enough to take everything in, both visually and gastricly (no more room left). A repeat visit is warranted and highly recommended.

Between the four of us, we tried a wide variety of dishes, and every single one was fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. Each plate that came out somehow topped the last, thoughtful flavors, perfect portions, and clear attention to detail. You can truly taste the care and talent behind the food. The service was just as impressive, warm, attentive, and perfectly timed without ever feeling rushed. A big thank you to our server, Matt, who was fantastic and made the entire evening even more enjoyable. And compliments to Chef Savon, clearly he knows exactly what he's doing. The creativity, quality, and execution across everything we tried were outstanding. Highly recommend if you're looking for amazing food, great atmosphere, and an all-around wonderful dining experience. We'll absolutely be back!

The highlight of the evening was the superb service. Our waiter was professional, kind, attentive, and genuinely diligent in making sure everyone at the table was comfortable and well cared for throughout the evening. His warmth and patience, especially with two tired young children in our party late in the evening, were greatly appreciated. The appetizers were excellent, and the bread was truly superb. Most of the meal was enjoyable, though a few dishes did not quite live up to their descriptions. The lentil soup, unfortunately, was rather bland and forgettable, lacking flavor and depth. Two entrées the tilapia specialty and a risotto-style dish also felt somewhat overstated compared to expectations and unfortunately they were way over salted. To the restaurant's credit, concerns were addressed politely and professionally, though the offer of a replacement felt a bit scripted as the evening was growing late. We did choose not to accept the replacement. Overall, however, the atmosphere, hospitality, and thoughtful service made for a very pleasant evening. With a bit more care from the kitchen in matching execution to presentation and description, this charming restaurant could truly shine. 3.5 Stars…read more After waiting nearly three months for Denver's hottest reservation, my group of four were underwhelmed by our dining experience. The Good: The food itself was lovely. Fantastic flavors. Beautiful plating. If basing our review on the food alone--five stars. The Bad: Despite having been in their space for months by now, the ambiance was not there. The staff kept turning on and off the food heat lamps, which were so bright that the light level in the entire space vacillated between dark and sultry to too brightly light all night. The temperature was absolutely arctic. Multiple groups had to ask for their coats from coat check before one of the waitstaff said he looked at the heating. He made adjustments, which did increase the temperature of the room from arctic to chilly--but it remained unacceptably cold. Pacing of courses was oddly timed. The waitstaff couldn't seem to strike a good balance between casual and fine dining--it was a little awkward at times. The Bad: Despite placing our wine flight orders twice, with two different waitstaff, they forgot to give us our drinks until we asked. By then, we'd missed two of the pairings. They did offer to serve us the remaining pairings at no cost, which was a nice gesture. But, it's wild that something like this happened in a place with 16 seats and 4 waitstaff--they missed out on $400 in alcohol sales because of this error. The meal was explained to our group as a "ten course" experience. We only received nine courses: 1. The venison "hamburger" 2. Cappuccino 3. Roasted apple 4. Crudo/sashimi 5. Scallop 6. Lobster 7. Venison skewer 8. Duck leg 9. Dessert This feels like an egregious oversight. And, based on what we overheard from the table next to us--almost felt deliberately misleading. The wine pairing is plainly described in the menu as "five pairings." As dessert was brought out, the table next to us inquired about the remaining pairings, as they'd only received 4 pairings up to that point. The waitstaff tried blaming it on the fact that "dessert wine is polarizing" and "we over poured the other pairings," but those are weak excuses. If you're not going to offer the full 5 pairing flight as advertised, that needs to be communicated ahead of time. Overall: With a price point, including wine flight (had that worked out), per person of nearly $325--The Guest had too many substantial misses. While the food may be ready for prime time, the service is leagues behind.

This is a timed, coursed dinner where the entire room sits and eats together, so arriving on time is essential. The format creates a restaurant wide dinner party feel, which sets the tone for the night. Everything feels intentional, from the pacing to the service to the design of the space. The menu changes often and is never repeated, which makes the experience feel special and creative rather than formulaic. Standout dishes for me included the duck doughnut, the wood ear French toast, the venison burger, and the leek cappuccino. The kanpachi crudo and scallop with tamarind were also beautifully balanced, and desserts like Cash's Apple and The Sphere were thoughtful finishes rather than an afterthought. One of the more memorable details was the menu book at the end of the night, featuring the chef's original sketches of the dishes. It's a small touch that really reinforces how personal and considered the experience is. If you're looking for a unique, chef driven tasting experience that feels cohesive and well executed, this is absolutely worth a reservation.
