Great new spot that brightens the day you have jury duty. Immediately across from court building and adorable. Tons of comfy seating with natural lights and free WiFi. Had the turkey and Brie sandwich which they were able to slightly adjust. Tasted delish and fresh. Tried the rose donut. Very fragrant but a little heavy for my taste. I love this place all staff it's amazing until I just walked in to this nasty and rude lady with black curly hair on a beautiful Sunday, I placed the order for a regular americano with half&half and a pound cake. She gave me the pound cake right away and went ahead and continued to serve other two costumers with their coffees and food instead of making my coffee, When I asked her about it she asked me if I need something so she obviously forgot about it, No problem on my end but at least make it instead of arguing that the costumer after me had a cold latte. Just say you forgot and make a new one. While I was standing standing there, Instead of apologizing for the wait and making one right away she started giving attitude saying I had to wait. While she decided to serve everyone else and when she finally gave me the coffee it didn't have half and half and got upset when I asked for it! Like is this for real? She got mad because I asked the coffee I paid for? Some people should not work in the hospitality business. I'm so disappointed as i love everyone else here i come in very often and she really ruined this cute spot for me. No manager on site either. I love that I finally have a cafe in my neighborhood, after years of living here, that feels like home. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the Heart and Soul that went into the place. From the decor, to the owners, it felt like I was having lunch in their living room. Very family oriented, pet-friendly, the owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. I'm in love with the place. Cafe Peanut is definitely a gem in JC! My friend comes here weekly & raves about this place so she took me last weekend. We both had iced coffees - caramel and mocha. They were both delicious! For breakfast we both had the chipotle special - eggs, cheddar cheese, greens, avocado and an amazing chipotle aioli. It was early when we went so the place was quiet so we sat in the back. My husband and I love this place so much that we visited two days in a row for breakfast. This is a fantastic addition to JSQ, with great service and delicious food. Both visits I ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a croissant which is absolutely amazing - highly recommend. The space is bright, airy and a welcome change to what you typically see in this neighborhood. You can tell the owners put a lot of love in to the space and what they serve! And I had to take half home, it was so packed with goodness! Even the wrap which I'm usually not a fan of was perfect in texture and flavor. The owner and his staff are genuinely happy to greet and serve you. The size of the cafe is deceiving since it flows further back to reveal more seating, so you don't feel jammed in like many other cages&bistros. I am eager to return during my jury duty days to try other offerings on their menu. I did notice they had a crowd on a Saturday for late lunch so word is out. There is limited parking ( like everywhere in J.C) but weekends might be better for drivers. It's not far from JSQ, a quick walk north on Summit ave. To Newark Ave. Enjoy! They provide cucumber infused water as well. While I was in here, it was busy.. looked like a lot of regulars as the barista know everyone and their orders. Great food, ambience and staff !!! My best friend and I were so excited for Cafe Peanut as it's conveniently located for us and this neighborhood definitely needed a place as great as this. Who's ever done jury duty in the area and not had anywhere healthy to go for lunch ?!?! Cafe Peanut has excellent food, ambience and service...and coffee too of course! Ili, the owner, is super kind and cheerful. He makes you feel at home. The whole staff is friendly and professional. I always order a "weird" request...a decaf latte with coconut milk. Ili made a DELICIOUS one for me and didn't bat an eye at my crazy request. Also we had the Omelet with Avocado Mash and the Chicken Salad Sandwich on Foccacia bread - FANTASTIC. The ambiance is super cute and very clean. We will be back soon!!! FYI They do acoustic brunch on Sundays 12pm to 2pm. I will come back for that, too! read more

4 stars for the ambiance and lemon loaf. As you'll see in the pictures, there's beautiful seating in the back. I wasn't a huge fan of my cafe mocha and it was $5.75 I believe. The lemon pond cake was very good and fresh. Great cafe to read. The free infused water tasted perfect. They also have Tuesday lunch specials. Parking is tough as it's near the courthouse but I'm glad I went. It is refreshing to see such a nice looking cafe in that part of JC. I'd come again. read more

Placed an order through the website two hours ago clearly marked delivery. I received two confirmation emails (one stating they received the order, also clearly stating it was for delivery, and another stating my delivery order was ready). I called initially to check up on the order and was informed it was delayed because I did not choose a soup option - the system gave me no options, simply said I could order "soup". I finally called again after said two hours had passed and was informed my order was for pickup. Very disappointed in the service.
