There are no misses here. You can literally order anything on the menu, or any way you want to mix and match your sub, and it is top tier. People dont stay in business for over 50 years by accident. This is a staple in jersey city, especially to mcginley square and my alma mater, Hudson Catholic HS. Parking sucks, but you will make it work somehow some way if you know whats good for you !

Very good sandwich. Would definitely come back if I were in the area. Cash only, essentially no parking (street parking, but you'd be lucky to get it), small Mom & Pop kinda place. The line was out to the street when I got there, so I knew it must be good.

Great place! Super small and almost unnoticeable until you see a line out of the door. It does take a while, but I do understand why after going inside.. they really make sure you're getting what you want and are patient. I ordered ahead of time and they had the sandwiches ready earlier than the time they had given me. Definitely will be visiting again! I had the turkey and cheese with their basic mayo salt pepper oregano oil vinegar and lettuce tomato onion- DELICIOUS.

Imagine Subway but with super fresh ingredients, high quality turkey meats and a sweet older gentleman serving it up while giving you a history lesson about the store as well (been here since the '60's). This is no Italian deli, so don't channel 2nd St. Deli, Vito's or Luca Brasi's here, this was just a simple, fresh sandwich that rings in at $4.44 (turkey & cheese). Everything is hand sliced in front of you as you order and the shredded lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and crisp. No fresh mutz or roasted red peppers here, just a simple sub sandwich for a simple girl on a simple Saturday. This is definitely a solid option for those living in JSQ & McGinley Square areas who want to avoid all the greasy chains and Latin food spots. I'd most certainly come again.

Number 10 our Hero special. Roast beef, turkey, salami , and capicola.

Roast beef sandwich (number 7) was pretty good. They REALLY stuffed it with the beef, if you're into that. Very jersey-mikes typa flavor.

If you been rocking since 1919, mi amor, I **have** to come see what's going on. That alone made me wanna pull up And let me tell you... I walked from Jersey City Heights down to downtown -- not a bad walk at all, un chin de cardio before breakfast . Real "treat yourself, mi amor" type of morning. Soon as I walked in... BABYYYY I felt like I got teleported straight into a little Italian market Shelves full of Italian goodies -- pastas, oils, snacks... I was like *yo quiero todo esto* It was giving *ciao bella, benvenuti, mangia mangia* vibes all day. The staff? Súper nice. No attitude, no rush -- just good energy. I told them it was my first time and asked what they're known for, and they really put me on No gatekeeping over here. My husband got the #7 (on a roll) I got the #8 (on a bagel) We sat outside and did what married people do... switched sandwiches halfway Now listen... mine was good -- turkey, egg, pesto... she was cute, she had flavor, estaba bien ‍ BUT HIS?! Ese sándwich estaba otro nivel. I don't know if it was the roasted peppers or what but *Dios mío*... delicioso, chef's kiss Only thing? Next time I'm switching my bagel for a roll porque ese pan estaba hitting different. The roll? Soft, fresh, perfecto. Also... let me tell you about the BACK They got frozen pastas, little Napoli-style dishes, a whole meat section that looked crazy fresh, and you can order cold sandwiches too. Esto no es solo un deli -- it's a whole Italian experience, okurrr. And yes... it's a *little* pricey, no te voy a mentir. Pero honestly? You get what you pay for. Calidad, sabor, vibes -- todo está ahí. I skipped the coffee porque estoy tratando de behave con el budget but next time? And I'm coming back for that banana pudding porque I'm obsessed no shame. They got a little patio if you wanna sit, or you can take your food to the park and have a whole picnic moment. Real main character energy. Ponte linda, grab your sandwich, and just vibe out. Overall? 5 stars Good food, good vibes, buena gente. CARGIANO'S said "treat yourself" y yo dije... say less

Turkey on the other one was cut thinly and very fresh. Bread was outstanding, we'll be back next time we're in the area.

I ordered a few 3 ft subs which were perfect for our large group. 3 Ft speciality subs are $80 and for an extra $10 they will cut the sub. They also charge a delivery fee of $25. They delivered right on time which was much appreciated. Everyone loved the sandwiches - we ordered a fully loaded Italian sub and a chicken cutlet sub. Overall this was a solid pick and I'm happy I placed a catering order here.

They have a huge variety of sandwiches on the menu, from classic combos to more creative, loaded options, so there's something for everyone. We ordered the chicken Caesar, the Hell Raiser, and the Jimmy Z, and each one brought something different to the table. The chicken cutlets were cooked perfectly and not greasy at all. You can taste how incredibly fresh the mozzarella was which really stood out, and the bread was soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together without falling apart. What really impressed me was how generous the portions were. These sandwiches are packed! Super filling and worth the price (14$). You can tell they don't cut corners with quality or quantity. Only downside is parking can be a bit of a struggle in the area, so plan ahead. But once you take that first bite, you won't even care.

It was absolutely delicious, perfectly savory, and extremely generous portion size. $14 for a sandwich is arguably high but it does feel like a good value. When I ordered it again, I added a classic BLT for my partner so he could try some Mordi's too--and, unsurprisingly. It also tasted amazing! However, when we first opened the box, we were both extremely disappointed at the size of it. For a simple classic sandwich that costs the same as the slightly more complex chicken parm (give or take $1), both combined halves of his sandwich were the same size as just one half of my chicken parm. It was alarmingly small (and did leave us wanting more). Next time I got him the $19 ribeye cheesesteak which he said was also delicious--and just as large and generous as the chicken parm. Service is quick, the cashier was friendly, and the free dog treats at the counter are a nice touch. We haven't had a miss so far taste-wise--only hits! While we encourage you to be mindful that not all portion sizes are created equal, we still absolutely recommend checking out this Mordi's (Lafayette) if you haven't yet!

I ordered their Cold Sandwich #4 via Grubhub and I appreciate that their prices are the same as their website. The chicken cutlet is nicely seasoned and has a good thickness. It does get slightly overtaken by the mozzarella simply because of the size of it. The seeded semolina was soft, slightly chewy, but mostly fresh. I absolutely loved the chipotle mayo and cold crispness of the lettuce and fresh tomato that brightened each bite. I know this is a cold sandwich but I would honestly prefer it if the chicken cutlet and semolina bread was warm. They had other sandwiches that caught my eye, so I'll just have to go back soon.
