What a lovely little spot, serving up amazing Ecuadorian cuisine. Had the tigrillo and llapingachos, having never had either before and it's now on my to make list for at home. It was so good. Everything was perfect!

It's honestly super hard to find Ecuadorian food in Orlando there is only about like one other place you can go, but me and my family love this place, it's very authentic. We went on a trip in June 2023 to Ecuador to see our family and coming here felt like we were back there with the food. We had humitas, ceviche de pescado, jugó frozen de naranjilla, llapingachos & more! 10/10 if you are wanting to try something different and appreciate food from a country that is not often offered in central Florida. Also for Dia de Los Difuntos (Day of the Deceased) they pay homage to the traditions and make Guaguas de Pan & Colada Morada to order! Other than the food there's plenty of parking available.

I found this little gem after leaving Sea World. It's 5 minutes away. I was craving something new. This is an Ecuadorian cuisine restaurant. It's a small cozy location. We were seated right away and our waitress was very attentive. They offer traditional drinks but not from fresh fruit (frozen pulp). It's a little disappointing because Ecuador is known for their delicious fruits and fresh juices. The passion fruit was good and tasty. The Naranjilla drink not so much. It was bland and missing the naranjilla taste. The mixed Bolon was delicious. Ask for Ají (traditional spicy sauce) it's not really spicy but very tasty and flavorful. One of the main traditional dishes is Ceviche, accompanied with green plantains chips to complete the dish. This one hit the spot and satisfied my craving. I consider the price to be somewhat high for the portion but it is a delicious ceviche.

Absolutely wonderful meal, with amazing staff. The ambiance is also super cozy. Will definitely be back

Ecuadorian food is one of the most underrated and underrepresented Latin American cuisines. It shares some elements of Peruvian and Colombian but uniquely their own with influences dependent on location. So, while on a road trip, I decided to seek out Ecuadorian food and found Cafe Pinton in Orlando. Being new to the restaurant, were unsure of how service was and so were offered at the counter but later observed that regulars simply took a table and were approached by the young lady at the counter who took their order. However, there were others who did the same as we did and ordered at the counter before finding a table. Being familiar with Ecuadorian cuisine and married to a first generation Ecuadorian American, the menu was easy to understand. For starters, we started with the Bolon Mixto. This was served with a meat based side sauce and hard-cooked Sunny side up egg. The Bolon was moist and tasty. The accompanying sauce was a nice topping for the Bolon and together with the egg, a complete meal. The fusion marinara or shrimp and fish ceviche was wonderfully refreshing in the citrus marinade. Add in crumbled plantain chips and you have another winner. Finally was the seco de chivo. The host was moist, tender, and nicely flavored. The balance of seasonings was on point. Why four stars and not five? The prices. Because it is hard to come by good Ecuadorian in Florida, after the initial shock, we committed to simply enjoy the food.

Party of 2: on the go: early morning: We went in for some coffee and ended grabbing a bite to eat. The lady at the counter was super patient with us since we didn't have a clue of what was what. She then asked both of us where we were from. As soon as we replied it explained everything. So she made her recommendations on what we should get. It did not disappoint. I loved it! I don't recall the name of the plate but uploading a photo. I would definitely recommend this place.

The ceviche was amazing, have driven past it many times and didn't stop. I will in the future though now that I have found it!

Beautiful decor and artwork and some nice upbeat music. Passion fruit juice is best I've ever had and sandwich was good the special house sauce really made the sandwich.

Being part of the parking structure doesn't mean that they validate your parking. If you can find street parking, definitely do that instead. I had the churassco med-well. It came with two sides, I had the tostones and salad. It was alright, but I definitely had better. I ordered it to eat it there and they put all the sauces in to-go containers, which was weird. The sauces were in such tiny containers, you definitely would need more. My friend got the mushroom arepa and a side of the sweet plantains that she really enjoyed. Service was good. The girl taking our order was super nice and polite. It was more like one step up from fast/food and self-served. You order at the counter and they give you a number for your table and they bring out the food to the table and you clean up after yourself.

There is a bit of a language barrier but the owner was very sweet and helpful when describing her baked goods; they also have dine in options, as well a sandwiches! The empanada dough was perfectly crisp and light, with a slight saltiness to it, which helped to enhance the fillings flavor; my favorite was the beef empanada (i forgot to take a picture ). The flavor wasnt heavy tasting which I loved alot. I wanted to like the spinach one as much as the beef one, but it did lack the savory punch I was looking for. The guava pastry kind of reminded me of the chinese sugar donuts just with lotss of guava filling in it; super delicious and not too sweet! The dulce de leche was the yummiest pastry I had; its not like other dulce de leches where it just tastes heavily of condensed milk. This was so light and fluffy.

I believe their selection will change from day to day since they hand write their options. The last time I was there they had about 5 different versions. These are fantastic empanadas and ones I will get each and every time I visit Plant Street. My only complaint (and its not even a real compliant) is I wish they had some sides to go with the empanadas, like maybe plantains or a sweet empanada, and then a sauce to dip them in. But besides that I really cannot complain, these are great and very good. The last time my wife and I visit we decided to try 2 and share them. We chose the chicken and cheese as well as the Cuban. Both were really good and super tasty, and both we agreed we would order again. They were crispy for sitting in a warming oven, it was surprising how crispy they were. The chicken and cheese was chopped chicken mixed with some melty cheese. The Cuban was fantastic, and was chopped pork with cheese, a hint of mustard and even had pieces of pickles inside. Their empanadas are also baked, not fried, which I personally prefer. However, it was still crunchy and crispy. My only issue with ordering different ones is they were not labled. She put both in one bag so we had no idea which was which. Not the best for allergy issues or preferences, but we didn't really care, since we were trying both. Overall these are fantastic empanadas. This is a spot I would continue to visit every time I am at Plant Street. I look forward to trying all their different flavors. I highly recommend trying these empanadas next time you are at Plant Street. ACES!

Let me first say, they are absolutely delicious. The only reason I gave them a 4 is because they only sell empanadas and only have a few options. I have been to other empanada places and their options are massive. I would love to see more available here, maybe it's on a rotation, I'm not sure. They also did not have any dips for them. For the two we ordered I think a garlic style dip would have gone well. We decided to try the chicken and cheese as well as the Cuban. Again, they were fantastic! The chicken and cheese was chopped chicken and very good. I did not really taste cheese so it must have been mixed in. The Cuban was fantastic, it had pieces of pickles inside as well. This one would have been great with a mustard type dip to complete the Cuban sandwich flavor. But we would order both again and again. Their empanadas are also baked, not fried. I do prefer a fried but these were good. My only other issue was they were not labeled, she put both in one bag so we did not know which was which. The flavors were similar at first so it was hard to tell. It really was not until we tasted the pickle that we knew which was which. Overall these are fantastic tasting empanadas, and this from someone who prefers them fried. The person working was not the most friendly, and reading other's reviews, they must have had sauces and we were just not offered. We will however, continue to visit ever time we head to Plant Street. It is such a simple dish, easy to carry around Plant Street and just really good. I would recommend checking it out especially when you are at Plant Street.
