The food is here is amazing and super fresh. My mom had pollo à la plancha (grilled chicken) with onions and it was delicious. My dad had the pollo empanizado (breaded chicken) and I had the bistec empanizado (breaded steak); both were perfectly crisp and flavorful. My dad also had a passion fruit margarita which, in his words, was the best he has ever tried. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly, we met the owner as well and he was so kind. Good Cuban food price is a little up there should've been cheaper for portions and quality

First place we saw that caught our eye since landing in Orlando, Florida! Havana Bistro is the place to go in all aspects. The service is welcoming and friendly, Robans was kind enough to explain the different food items they had going as far as explaining the flavors and textures of each item. We had the yellow rice (delicious, fluffy, and flavorful... not sure what the flavor was but it was 10/10 buttery soft, delicious, and flavorful), the black beans (flavorful, maybe a tad salty for our taste but it was still wonderful) and the shredded beef with pieces of bell peppers in a tomato flavored sauce. The beef was the star of the show, it was juicy, tender, and extremely flavorful. Some of best most flavorful beef we've ever had in our lives! Each bite was juicy? That's the best way to explain how flavorful and tender each bite was. The Platanos were soft and sweet, basic platanos. Everything was delicious including my husbands Cubano sandwich, which they graciously did not add mustard to since hubby is not a fan. The ambiance is lively with Latin (Cuban?) music playing in the background. Overall a great experience. They also have desserts but were too sugared out to try, but maybe next time! Gahh Anyways, I moved from Miami back in 2011 and finding an authentic Cuban coffee is hard to find in central Florida. I used to work at FL Mall and my store obtained a menu from here once they opened. I said, what the heck let me try it, and omg you know it's authentic when the CORTADITO is done right! I even spoke to the owner, Cubana, and she was so happy when I told her being a Miami native and how happy that she opened up a piece of Miami here for me. So glad they're still here after many years! The restaurant is divided by a sit down service or quick service. Either one you can go wrong. The food is fresh, authentic and great quality. Most of the workers are not Cuban but the food most definitely is! If you're from Miami or dont want to drive to Miami for Cuban food or Miami price, this place is the place for you! Thought my wife and I stop in to this establishment today. The atmosphere is nice and clean. However, once we sat down, I read a previous review on here and noted that there appears to be 2 businesses using the same entrance. For starters, I don't understand this concept and why both establishments sold a Cuban Sandwich yet, both are priced dramatically different. Where we sat today, Theo Cuban Sandwich was set at estimated $15 dollars a piece where the others side it was approximately $10? I don't get it, why such a big difference and why two choices to eat from with different prices? Anyways, we ate at the expensive one (too late to switch sides) and the petite Cuban Sandwich was ok, nothing that blew me out of the waters. It came with )at least I think it did, otherwise I paid for them) a SMALL basket of French Fries and (hold onto to your seat) ... no ketchup was provided or offered. When asked for ketchup, the nice gentleman went to the other side (cheaper priced business) and brought us back 4 packaged ketchup packs. Now, if we're dining in an establishment that gives off the notion of fine dining, why would they not offer ketchup and when asked, we are brought small packets of ketchup instead of a bottled portion? Total price for 2 petite Cuban and 2 cans of Coke broke my wallet at $35+ USD, and that didn't count the tip. Needless to say, the establishment(s) need to get it together in terms of pricing and services to local customers. This is NOT a review of the business with the buffet looking service area but the other side (left) with the bar area. Would not be visiting any longer, we feel that when we dine at a business, the business should be consistent with what it's servicing. If you do happen to go to this location, my advice ... try the right side (electronic menu board, buffet looking) of this location. Left side Cuban Sandwich - $15 Right side Cuban Sandwish -$10. That's so wrong right there and yes, they got me this time but never again. Overall, food was ok and I wouldn't necessarily say not to visit this location BUT be aware that there are 2 different businesses, offering somewhat similar items but the prices are way off from one another. Again, this review is not for the right side of the business, it's towards the left side with the bar. Sorry, that's the best way I can describe this business in it's weird setting kind of way. Dined on Wednesday evening, April 13, 2022. Other than us, there was only one other diner. We ordered a chicken empanada and mofongo as appetizers with La Medianoche and Cuban sandwiches as the entree. I did not notice what time we placed the order, but after what seemed a little too long for the appetizers to be delivered, I commented to my husband that the food would all be delivered at the same time. That wasn't quite accurate as the sandwiches were delivered first, then our "appetizers". The sandwiches were okay - the meat was not hot and is shredded. I've definitely had better elsewhere. The sweet potato fries were hot and tasty. When they delivered the "appetizers" they did not bring any utensils, so we had to ask for those. For drinks we asked about tea (only bottled), Diet Coke (only cans). Since we consume lots of liquid during dinner, we opted for water. Since the restaurant had no other customers, you would think service would not be an issue. That was not the case as we waited for drink refills. read more

The ambiance was nice, they had several customers entering so I assumed we hit a jack pot... In a Cuban restaurant I wouldn't have expected the items to be so expensive, but since we were out of town, I assumed that it was due to tourism. For starters an Empanada was at $5... im assuming it should taste amazing but unfortunately I was let down. It was deep fried, oily when bitten into and the chicken tasted too "tomato-ey" not happy with that, being someone that lovesss empanadas this was a let down. The cafe con leche was good, not hard to make and the toastada (bread with butter) was too hard almost as if the bread was old? and the butter was too heavy. Lastly the pan con croqueta was 7.5/10, and the French fries were cold.
