The lobby is Dirty like filthy and needs a good power wash and scrub, the bathroom is disgusting. There is staff, but they will remind you of the Sloth scene in Zootopia. The food is okay. Definitely a one and never come back type place. The garbage was overflowing, but instead of taking it out, the staff came out and pushed it down with their hands. The same hands that make the food. I'm super disappointed in the Cafe Rio here in Brigham City. Usually we go to costa Vida but they were closed so we gave cafe Rio a shot. We asked for Dr. pepper and their syrup was out so we decided on Root beer. When we got home it was super flat, they gave us no ice and didn't fill it up all the way. When we ordered we got 2 sweet pork burritos, 1 with pinto beans and 1 with black beans and they both came with undercooked pinto beans. We also asked for the 1 with pinto beans to come with pico and lettuce and we didn't get that either. Beyond disappointed and definitely won't be going back. read more

My husband and I have been huge fans of Cafe Rio for years, but not this location. Since it's been here, we've tried to give them our business. We have stopped going for a year or more and then tried again for awhile and have stopped again. The worst thing for me is how dirty everything is. The tables, chairs, floors, walls, food areas, drink area and even the garbage cans are disgusting. It doesn't matter what time we go in, it is always dirty. No one cleans the tables unless you go ask them to. They also rarely keep the knives, forks and napkins stocked. I have gotten them out of their cupboard myself many times! Terrible service! We started going to Costa Vida, just down the street from Cafe Rio. Amazing how clean it is!! They have someone there who is just there to clean and keep things stocked! As soon as someone leaves, they are right there, cleaning the table and sweeping. We are definitely going there from now on. If we go to a Cafe Rio, it will be in another location. read more

Didn't cook my tortilla. Had soaking wet lettuce super large cut lettuce. The rice was undercooked and crunchy. Was incredibly skimpy on the portions. Had cleaning supplies out on the table an hour before closing they dumped boiling water on the floor when we arrived. Trash on the floor. Not enough black beans, I told them I was in a party of twenty and that we would all want black beans and they still didn't cook anymore! This was an hour before closing! They didn't give silverware with you're meal, you had to get it out of a tub next to empty soda cups on a table. All the lemonade mixers were empty. An employees backpack was out on the cabinets. Have given this location too many chances. Rice is always dried out and crunchy every time we have been there. They never get our online order quite right. Asked for tortilla in the side for a gluten allergy and they put one in the entree and one on the side. And it was ice cold after a short drive home to eat it. I have also seen them dump a freshly cooked item on top of an old one instead of the other way around. Could be an awesome option for the area but probably won't be going back. read more

I want to like this place it's the only Cafe Rio close to my house but unfortunately they do not offer corn tortillas. 3 times in the last 3 months we have tried to get corn tortillas and they never have them yet seem to have corn chips. Why doesn't Cafe Rio just take them off the menu if they are never going to offer them? Not sure what makes them rare of difficult but if your people are against making them just pull them off the menu so people can go somewhere else for gluten free tacos. read more

Have had continual order inaccuracies and food quality issues since this restaurant opened, and yet I keep giving them chances. Today's order experience once again proved to me that it's a false hope to believe I can get the same level of service and reliability that I've known at other Cafe Rio restaurants. I ordered ONE salad with shredded chicken. The only customization I did was to have the tortilla put on the side, so not a complicated order. I didn't discover until I got the order home and began to eat it that they had left out the shredded chicken! Usually it's underneath all the lettuce, beans and pico, but searching for it I found none. I basically paid for a shredded chicken salad and got a vegetarian salad instead. I wouldn't have been against it had they added a different meat, which while still a mistake, at least I would have something. As others have said it seems like this restaurant is always out of something, including my favorite horchata drink once in a while, and in this case it seems they may have been out of chicken, forgot to tell me and made the salad without it. They also have poorly trained staff that somehow doesn't know how to properly roll a burrito. They roll it once with the sides not properly tucked in and it's just a blob in the tin they put it in. So often I've thought, "can I just come around there and roll it myself!?" I've continually given this location chance after chance over the past 18 months, and it's starting to feel like "fool me once, shame on you... fool me twice, shame on me". So, ha ha, Cafe Rio, you got me again, but I've learned my lesson and won't be back. read more

As a picky person, I am very detailed when ordering food. Like today I went to Café Rio to get a chicken quesadilla, now like I as I'm a very very picky person so I ask for a chicken quesadilla with no sauce, no lettuce and pico, sour cream and guacamole. I check my receipt after they handed to me to make sure everything look right, I waited 10 minutes for it and when I got back to work and open up my bag I found my quesadilla with everything I asked them not to put on or in it every single thing but the sauce that didn't put any sauce on it that about one thing they got right. I've always been super impressed by this location but as a lately they aren't doing so hot. I just understand how my receipt can say one thing, and my quesadilla has the complete opposite.. can they employees read? Do they need to get trained better? Who knows.. all I know is something needs to happen and it will be a hot minute before I eat at the Brigham location again. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had beside a run down McDonald's. Sat in the drive through for over 40 minutes with 2 cars in front of me. Never got greeted when I ordered and had to initiate the conversation. Left without getting my food cause I sat at the window to pay for another 10 minutes with no interaction from the staff. As the employee was making my food he was talking mess on me thinking I couldn't hear him. There's glass over the counter and they were making food so it was hard to hear him asking what I would like on my food. Apparently he asked if I would like beans, black or pinto...I only heard beans so I said yes once he went over to get the beans he told his coworker... I just asked her what kind of beans she wants and she said sure and laughed. I did call the management and they said that he has been talked to about eight times for this previously and they refunded our money. We would use the online ordering and never is it ready and have to wait for it to be ready. By the time they are done our food is cold. Half the time now they are out of things. The employees are nice but have not enough experience or are fairly new and not trained well. Definitely would not recommend their catering service. I placed my order for an 8 person buffet style meal 4 hours in advance. Upon my arrival at the "Promise" time, they had not even started my order. I waited for 30 minutes for my order to be ready. I could have overlooked the soupy beans, no guacamole, scary lettuce, completely raw tortillas and skimpy meat-- until-- at five minutes to 9:00 they came to our table and told us to leave! We arrived just after 8:00 and they close at 9:00, so after taking their sweet time serving us, they kicked us out. Very rude. We have given this location so many chances & literally every single time we go there they mess our order up. Every. Single. Time. This time I ordered a salad and specified which dressing. Drive away & I don't have any dressing. Last time, we ordered 3 meals, the exact same salad, and guess what? One had pico, one had guac, and one had no toppings and no dressing.
