They just added to DoorDash and my family is excited. Ricardo's is a family favorite and has had a few locations over the years. We love it! Food is fresh and amazing. Service is great and so upbeat. This was my third visit to Brigham City, and I have finally found a good restaurant in Ricardo's Mexican Restaurant. It has a lot more flavor and authenticity than Rubens Mexican Restaurant. We both ordered the combination plate, , which offered a lot of good food at an affordable price. You can order various fillings and both the green and red chili topping. The salsa that comes with the complimentary chips tastes fresh and flavorful. Our waitress was super friendly. The only thing I didn't like were the flour tortillas, which seemed a little greasy. My current go to Mexican spot in Box Elder county. Not only was the food delicious but the portions were huge. And not overly expensive. I had the cheese enchiladas with chili verde smothered on top. I found this spot on Instagram and decided to give it a try for the first time--so glad I did! Cute and cozy local spot! They close at 8pm like many establishments nearby so FYI if you are a traveler and used to places opening later. Came here on a Friday night at 7:30. It was full with a few tables left. Our waitress was super sweet and accommodating! We were disappointed to find that they ran out of beans, a side that comes with most dishes. How does a Mexican restaurant run out of beans?! They said they would sub double rice for the missing beans. We didn't want extra rice so asked if we could sub 1 tamale for 2 plates without extra rice. Waitress said yes so we were happy about that! Got our food and it was not bad. Enchiladas flavorful and saucy. The rice was good. Taco shell was fried and hard which I didn't like since I have TMJ. Later the waitress came back and apologized but they also ran out of tamales. She brought us a fried ice cream instead. The fried ice cream had a what seemed like corn fried outside. Tasted good but was also kind of hard and still very frozen. Not a bad spot but maybe plan to come earlier so you don't miss any items you want. read more

Great Food and Service. There's more than one great Mexican place in Brigham. I'd pass on home delivery. It just doesn't travel well.

A group of us went there for lunch today. The food was OK. But when I got my main course, it was very bland, so I asked for another little cup of salsa to put on my food so that it would have some flavor. When I got the bill they had charged me $2.30 for a tiny cup of salsa, That probably had three or 4 tablespoons of salsa in it. I was just kind of bugged that they would charge for extra salsa. Especially when it was their bland food I was needing to cover up. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant where they charge you extra if you asked for some extra salsa. And when I asked the waitress for some more salsa, she should have told me there would be an extra charge. Then I would have been expecting it. But to not tell me, and then charge me is just kind of deceitful. So, unless I am forced by a group of friends to go there again, I will not be going back. read more

Service was good as usual for our Tuesday dinner. Casual, sit where you want restaurant, not noisy, just always a steady stream of customers. Between us we ordered a pork burrito with beans and rice, 2 chicken tacos and a chimichanga with beans and rice. The portions were perfect and we enjoyed everything. Pricing is reasonable, but watch add ons such as sour cream ($1.49) and guac ($1.49) for the chimichanga, and $2.30 for extra salsa, which was less than 1/2 cup. At any rate, always good service and we're in and out in under 45 minutes. read more

Let's taco bout' Ricardos! Groan worthy puns aside I love the shredded beef tacos at this long time Brigham City staple. I could eat 6 in a sitting and still not be sick of them. The crispy tortillas and melty Monterey Jack are a great combination with the flavorful shredded beef. They also have very crave-able Chile Verde. My only complaint is that I feel sad inside when it is all gone, which is always too soon. One other crazy unexpected standout here is their carrot cake. I know this is a weird menu item to take a starring role at a Mexican restaurant, but theirs is as good as any home made carrot cake I have ever had (sorry Dad). Yes, it has nuts and raisins, and I would contest those are both very positive things, If you are one of the crazies out there that don't like raisins in your cake you should know this. The best thing about Ricardo's though is the staff and ownership. The service here is absolutely unequivocally top notch. We are treated so well when we come here that even if I didn't fall in love with the tacos I would keep coming back. It doesn't feel like lip service. They are sincere when they ask about how your family is. THIS is the way to run a business. I only have one critique of the restaurant and that is their early closing time (8pm, even on weekends, though if they have customers they're often open a little after). They have no lack of business as a result, so I cannot blame them, but I would eat here more if they were open later. With a busy weeknight schedule we just don't get to eat here as much as we would like. read more

We stopped on the way from Yellowstone to Bryce Canyon. The hotel owner referred us to this place, and I'm very glad she did. Really friendly and personable service. The food was excellent! THe guacamole is home made, fresh daily, and very flavorful. The salsa tempted me to take some home (but, we're camping...) The Combination Platter, #13 was excellent -- again, flavorful sauces, generous portions. My fiance and I shared. If you're traveling near Brigaham City, UT, make this a stop! read more

On June 18, 2025, my hubby and I went to Ricardos Restaurant. It took about 5 min to get a table and another 10 mins to finally order since the waitress didnt give us menus right away. We finally placed our order and waited for waitress to give us our waters, which finally arrived 10 mins after we sat down. The waitress was friendly but the service was lousy. We watched as 2 people who ordered after us got their food before us. Another couple came in and I noticed they waited in cashier line 5 min then sat down and waited 10 mins til waitress gave them a menu and they finally ordered after being in restaurant 15 mins. A 3rd couple had a wrong order. Also 1 of the waitress saw 2 younger guys who came in and she knew the 2 guys. The guys were seated immediately and given a menu within 2 mins of entering the restaurant. We waited about 40 mins and our food still did not arrive. We ordered 3 tacos and a small burrito and it never arrived after 40 mins. So we left the restaurant (after waiting about 40 mins)since we didnt know when our food was going to arrive and after watching the mix up an order and a couple get their food before us even though we order ahead of them. Very disappointed in this restaurant and its super slow service. We wanted to support small business but it wasnt a good experience. I hope service improves soon! read more

We stopped here for lunch when we were driving from Utah to Wyoming. We thought it was a great spot! I got the cheese quesadilla which came with rice and beans. Delicious food and a great price, I go there at least twice week. Everything is fresh and the service exceptional.

It was a busy day, which we totally understand! The food was great, but we did have to wait 2 hours inbetween when we ordered and got our food. Our waitress said that the kitchen had a mix up and that's why it took so long. We ended up asking for a discount due to the long wait, but when we were at the register the woman told us that they actually hadn't messed up and because it was a busy day we still had to pay full price. If the service is bad but theyre apologetic, I usually still leave a great review! But unfortunately today they were very not accommodating. We are tired and wasted a lot of our day there :( read more

After hundreds of visits over 30 years of eating here when Richard and Miriam started out as El 99, I have to downgrade my rating. Since Richard and Mirian have retired, the quality just keeps going down. Our early favorites of the beef and pork burrito are now mostly filled with beans. The pork especially has a low cut of meat and mostly filler. It's sad to see what they started come down so much. Great people and service, just what happens when a restaurant is handed down to those who don't quite take the quality as serious. We will still go occasionally, but it's pretty much down to the great tacos you can get. PS. the salsa is finally coming down in heat to be tolerable to eat again as well. read more

This place is not good. It took 15 minutes to get menus. After ordering, I was informed what I had ordered was no longer available, so I ordered something else. The food that arrived at my table was not what I ordered. When I eventually did get the food I ordered, it was.... Fine. Bland! Very wet! Everyone else in the restaurant was having the same issues, it was chaos! People having to ask to pay their bills multiple times, flagging down servers to get their food, getting the wrong thing. This restaurant was AMAZING! My friends and I drove through during my birthday trip. The food was to die for! I really enjoyed the beef and chicken fajitas.
