white chocolate mocha and nitro cold brew

very delicious coffee that isn't plagued with additives, you can really taste the smooth espresso. very nice music and seating and kind staff!! white mocha and cold brew are delicious

I was lucky to snag a Cafe Rothem bakery surprise bag for the first time, and the price was actually a bit lower than most other bakery bags. It was also my first time stepping into the café--turns out it's the kind of place where you can read books and listen to music, with a cozy, intellectual atmosphere. As for the bag itself, I really liked everything inside: a garlic cream bread (I personally love that savory, crispy flavor), a potato bread, and finally a jam-filled bun. Overall, it was a fantastic surprise bag and such a pleasant experience.

Sometimes you come to a place to make a connection to the past, to enjoy nostalgia vibes even it's from a different culture, Rothem is such a place. I placed a mystery bag order online, the owner kindly warmed up a croissant and a blooming garlic bread, made them fresh and crispy. I hope they put some old Chinese books along with Korean books.

idc what anyone says, the garlic bread here is THE BEST. The lady boss is always super nice and quiet ambiance is on pointttt Great place if you like not-too-sugary sweets and music!

The atmosphere was amazing and it was very calm. Price was very reasonable. The whole staff was nice and we really felt unrushed. smoothie was amazing!!!!

Very chill jazz/classical cafe with lots of seats and tables and great drinks. I had the boba affogato which had an amazing presentation. The coffee was bitter but complimented by the sweet ice cream. The boba wasn't hard and tasted house made on the spot. The blooming garlic bites were so cheesy and delicious that I didn't notice they were gone from the plate. It had cream cheese, cheese, and plenty of garlic.

My insta story @isalittl3 It's pretty and pastel And shows me grinding on my laptop and cute bookshelves on the back

The most amazing atmosphere and service. The owners carry themselves and the place with such CARE and love. Been coming here for years. Such an amazing business & the coolest record collection! P.s. ask him for recommendations... he's always right. But that CHICKEN SALAD MAN!!! Man oh man ‍

Immaculate vibes with the interior design and choice of music. Got the Mitsugaru and Sweet Potato latte with the Watteok, was all great! Definitely recommend for those looking for a chill spot to commune, read, study, and even enjoy live music while sipping on some good drinks!

Phenomenal service and ambiance. The mugwort latte tasted great & was decently priced. The jazz music played in the background combined with the antique aesthetic of the place created an amazing vibe -- one especially conducive for studying and getting stuff done. If I didn't live so far I would come here at least once a week!

First of all I would be remiss by not thanking Deonne D, my collaborator and aesthetician who gave me a phenomenal chocolate facial (story for another day!) for suggesting one of her favorite spots for our meeting yesterday. Cafe Rothem is not a neighborhood gem as I often say for some of my faves, it is a diamond!!! Nestled in a shopping plaza in Duluth, the outside does not do justice for the interior. I will say that I love the ample parking available, but from the moment I entered and was greeted right away to taking in all the aesthetics including a wall of albums with books on top row, artwork throughout, meeting room space, a grand piano, and ample seating space around large tables had me blown away. The coffee and tea selections gave me enough options to want to come back and try more. There were also pastries I had never heard of before and sandwiches available to accompany. I selected the caramel macchiato and pumpkin bread, as many that follow me know that I love all things pumpkin! My companion had the ginger tea and one of the many ramen noodle bowl flavors available. I was thoroughly pleased with the pumpkin bread which was heated perfectly and had cream cheese and pumpkin seeds. The coffee was delightful and not too sweet as requested. I did add a little honey to suit my sweetness preference. The noodles were enough to share, but opted not to due to the high sodium content I read on the label. I do love to eat, but wellness is very important to me and I try to be as balanced as possible. My companion did enjoy her selections, and I loved the tray it was served on. As we discussed business topics, after a mini photo shoot, what seemed like a tour bus unloaded into the café. Majority of the individuals from the "tour" were of Asian decent a varying ages. We observed the interactions and same genuineness from owners I felt when I arrived. My companion actually had a frequent shopper card that was punched with the purchases, and shared how much she enjoyed coming to this establishment. Will let the pictures speak for what I have not mentioned. And I will definitely be returning to try the syphone coffee and more pumpkin bread!

Fairly sized cafe, housing Sunday church gatherings and rentable meeting rooms. I tried both the coffee and a pastry and I'd rate them as mediocre; which, to clarify, isn't a bad rating but also not an outstanding one either. Things you should know: I. PARKING Cafe Rothem is within the Howell Center Plaza and shares a public parking lot with the adjacent surrounding businesses. Parking is easy and free. It fills up mid-day ~ so you'll have to park a little further out and walk (which isn't too bad). II. SERVICE Very slow. I ordered a pre-made Pain au Chocolat and Americano and it took 20+ minutes for them to have it ready. The shop had various tables still available, so they weren't at capacity. I wouldn't expect quick service here, BUT they are very friendly. III. QUALITY The coffee was standard 그렇지만 the pastry was very dry. It wasn't that buttery and moist flakey texture you'd want a croissant to be ~ barely any chocolate filling. IV. CAPACITY Plenty of available seating for a weekend afternoon. Very family friendly.

Wow! Cafe Rothem is a little slice of magic. I feel lucky to have stumbled upon it with my partner the other day and we decided to come in today and wow it is great! Perfect sandwiches, and expertly crafted coffee and espresso based drinks. I had a cortado that was just delicious and my husband had a mocha that was exactly what you want from a mocha! Not too sweet and excellent espresso flavor! The atmosphere and ambiance is like going back in time to a cherished book/music store with an instant feeling of warmth and welcome. And the service is wonderful. The gentleman behind the counter was so kind and helpful in picking out our drinks and such a warm person in general. Needless to say, I highly recommend you check this place out!

The plushies were so cute and we decided to stick with those. Their drink choices all sounded so good too. Most of the staff there were helpful, but the one we had didn't really explained everything for us first timers. We had to listen in on another worker there to understand what we're supposed to do. The tables are kind of too crowded next to each other. There were only 2 of us, but people kept on repeatedly bumping into our table to the point where our items would keep falling to the floor each time. I literally had to pull the table next to me to prop against ours just so that people would no longer walk in between our aisles. Drinks were very good. It was a very relaxing place, but then again, I feel that all art places gives you that feeling. I can't wait to come again with my 2 daughters!

The employees are always so helpful whenever I have questions about a drink or want recommendations. This time, I tried the Mango Coco. I believe it's made with mango slush, coconut milk, salted cheese foam, and sago. It was good! I definitely should have reduced the sugar level though, because it was too sweet for my taste. One thing I really appreciate about Artistea is that the drinks don't taste artificial. During my last visit, I got the Banana Pudding Matcha, and although all I could taste was banana, it tasted like real banana rather than artificial flavoring. Today, the mango tasted real as well, which I really appreciate. As for the activities offered, I think they're such a cute idea and I would love to participate. However, I would personally love to see more practical painting options, like mugs or plates. I just can't quite justify spending $20+ on a small figurine. One thing I would like to mention for possible improvement in future is upkeep. While the activities are cute and fun, it can get messy. We noticed a lot of paint and glute on the tables and chairs. Overall, I enjoy stopping by for the drinks whenever I'm in the area, and the service is always great. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

As a Colombian, he's particular about his coffee, and he said he was very impressed. That says a lot coming from him--he even told me more than once that I needed to write a raving review because of how much he enjoyed it. We also tried one of their Croffles (a croissant-waffle hybrid), and learning that they import the croissant ingredients from France made it feel extra special. The shop itself is bright and welcoming. I loved the little touches, like protective padding on table corners for kids--such thoughtful detail for families.
