We came here on Valentine's Day! I got to say they were so nice and fast here! It was a busy night but our waiter was visiting us often keeping our water full and helping us have a good time. We got sat in the basement which I think is their banquet room. It was super nice! The food was super tasty and came out so fast! I would definitely recommend this place and come back soon!

Mixed feelings this time. I gave Sabor 5 stars last time. Let me tell about the good and bad. The booking process for a table was remarkably organized. I'm most impressed with this part of the visit. Wish other restaurants were as efficient. Our waiter was problematic. Forgot to bring water and never checked on the water. He was fast getting us the check. Now the food. the quesadillas were amazing. The chicken chimichanga is prepared in advance in bulk and fried and there is barely any chicken in them. Much different than my last visit sadly. I asked for chimichanga without cheese and the waiter came back and said they buy them already prepared and they all have cheese. The chips and salsa are to die for wonderful.

Tasty! Steak picado - Meat was tender and flavorful with the perfect amount of smoke and spice. Huge portion sizes! We got a side dish of guacamole and devoured it! Soup came with quesadillas! Yummy! Eliza was our server and was fabulous! We will be back!

Went here to have dinner with my nephew and my travel buddies. We had a great time and the food was delicious. Just one note...take heed...the wait time to get seated can be long since this place is popular with tourists and locals, so I do suggest using the wait list system here on their Yelp page, if reservations are not available. We were able to walk in and only waited a short 10 minutes. Now on to the food and service; both great btw. I had their Shrimp Enchiladas and was not one bit disappointed, actually I would have seconds (maybe even thirds and worry about my over stuffed stomach later) if offered. We did the usual "try mine" taste test around the table and not one dish had an issue to me, will...maybe a little bit over seasoning with the cinnamon in the molé sauce, but that's just my own personal preference, but it was still tasty. The servers were like watching ants, constantly busy, the place was packed but our server was always in reach for anything needed. The mix drinks were refreshing, I suggest the Raspberry Mule, a nice balance of tartness of ginger with the sweetness of the raspberries.

The food is very mediocre bordering on just plain bad. The ultimate margaritas were terrible.

We had just driven into town and gotten settled in, and then fired up the Yelp app to find a place for a late-ish dinner. We also needed to get gas, so it was great that this is a two-fer. A Mexican restaurant adjacent to a gas station. We were even more excited about the drive-thru, per above. We rolled in about 45 minutes before closing and were the only ones in line. We took a moment to order, but in the end went with tacos, per the obsession outlined above. And not just tacos, but six different tacos. Carne asada, birria, pollo, carnitas, and I *think* cabeza and then I lost track. Anyways, this seemed like an easy enough thing, except that it was a varied order. But we pulled up to the drive-thru window to pay. And that's where we had the negative part of the experience. We sat for a minute or two. Then three. Finally I turned off the car. Then we sat some more. We sat long enough to start coming up with jingles for the restaurant. Bad jingles. Poorly constructed jingles. Non-rhyming. We were in high spirits and laughed uncontrollably, but inside the restaurant there didn't seem to be much action. We sat there for around 15 minutes, maybe more. That's a long time to wait in a drive-thru (though not the longest we would wait on this road trip.... ohhhhh... foreshadowing!) and we finally got our order. Aside from the very long wait time, everything was pretty good. Some hits and misses, but I'd recommend any of the meats. And they packed our mild salsas and limes and things, and it was all very serviceable. They do the two-shell method, but with the drive-thru wait and the ride back, they end up being pretty steamed together. They're also verrry liberal with the onions, so you should ask them to dial it back if you're not into that so much. But all in all, we got 6 tacos, chips, and guacamole (maybe pass on this next time) for about $15. Super chill, super un-fancy, but very fun to continue the drive-thru taco tour at "Jal-a-peño's, Jal-a-peños, we sell Mexican food."
