For heck sake, the food was delicious. It came out hot and with good portions. I asked for a side of mole(poblano). It was not on the menu, but they were happy to serve it! The Chile Relleno platter is where it went wrong. The poblano and the cheese together was perfect as usual, but they used whole scrambled eggs (not just the whites) as the outside batter and cooked it like an omelette, not fried like a Chile Relleno. Delicious!! Went here after work and it felt like a home cooked meal. The menu is fairly simple and the food is delicious! I would highly recommend this place if ur in the st. George area. I got the enchiladas and my friend got the platter and my other friend got the flautas. They all enjoyed their dishes!! Went here for Cinco de mayo and did not regret it! Service is a little slow but you can tell that it's a mom and pop shop so everything is made to order! We're always looking for different places to go in St. George. Seams like there are alot of mexican restaurants around but Irmita's caught our interest. We've love good mole'. We both had the mole' problano enchiladas. My wife had chicken , I had pork. I was hoping for a chili relleno, however not on the menu now. The mole' was really good, mabey a little sweet. However, not alot of meat. Rice and beans were alright. Salsa was tasty but very watery. We prefer a thicker, chunky salsa. Prices we're very reasonable. Staff were very friendly. Mom & pop restaurant in a remodeled house off the main road. Overall, food, service & price was a good+, 3 1/2 stars. I'll give a 4 and would go back to try more of their menu. read more

This places was recommended by a friend and on our way to NV we stopped by to try it out. Food was yummy, I had the red Mexican Chilaquiles. My boyfriend had the small pork torta ( it was quite big for being a small) :). We were seated pretty quickly, got our drinks and complimentary chips ans salsa shortly after. We didn't have to wait too long for our food either the place was clean, and had a calm but upbeat ambiance. I would definitely recommend this place if you're passing through or live in the area. A great find! I needed some serious eats after weeks of intense hiking and backpacking. Irmita's came up in a search, and homemade mole sold me. It did not disappoint! So authentic, scratchmade, and next to impossible to find any this good north of Mexico. Service was friendly and super fast. I'll be telling my local friends about this place, and stopping by whenever I'm in the area! It was nice that they give chips and salsa too; so many restaurants have stopped doing that (at least where I live). read more

My wife & I went to Irmitas for the 2nd time. We went once before and did not care for the experience so we haven't been back for a couple of years. The service was absolutely atrocious! The waitress brought our meal and never came back to check on us. We had to go to the front for our check. The food was not authentic and my wife's tostada bowl she said was tasteless. How this place ever got 4 stars or more is beyond me. You want real Mexican food - go to Dario's in Newhall, CA or Tony's Jacal in Solano Beach, CA (San Diego)! read more

Best Mexican food in St. George by far! We keep trying places and this one wins. You feel like you are dining in their home, the ladies greet you with a warm sweet smile and the men are in the kitchen. We started off with chips & salsa, they were very good. Moved on to the breakfast burrito which was huge. Inside was steak, rice, beans, lettuce and tomatoes. It was delicious oh and yes salsa. My husband has the traditional Huevos rancheros and they were extremely good, also a huge serving. It's in a house and there is outside dining as well. My enchiladas were flavorful as well as my rice and beans. The taco wasn't as good and the chips and salsa were not my favorite. My spouse had the Chile Colorado platter and loved it. Everyone was kind and welcoming and you could tell the servers were all part of this family owned operation.
