Delicious!! Went here after work and it felt like a home cooked meal. The menu is fairly simple and the food is delicious! I would highly recommend this place if ur in the st. George area. This places was recommended by a friend and on our way to NV we stopped by to try it out. Food was yummy, I had the red Mexican Chilaquiles. My boyfriend had the small pork torta ( it was quite big for being a small) :). We were seated pretty quickly, got our drinks and complimentary chips ans salsa shortly after. We didn't have to wait too long for our food either the place was clean, and had a calm but upbeat ambiance. I would definitely recommend this place if you're passing through or live in the area. We're always looking for different places to go in St. George. Seams like there are alot of mexican restaurants around but Irmita's caught our interest. We've love good mole'. We both had the mole' problano enchiladas. My wife had chicken , I had pork. I was hoping for a chili relleno, however not on the menu now. The mole' was really good, mabey a little sweet. However, not alot of meat. Rice and beans were alright. Salsa was tasty but very watery. We prefer a thicker, chunky salsa. Prices we're very reasonable. Staff were very friendly. Mom & pop restaurant in a remodeled house off the main road. Overall, food, service & price was a good+, 3 1/2 stars. I'll give a 4 and would go back to try more of their menu. read more

A great find! I needed some serious eats after weeks of intense hiking and backpacking. Irmita's came up in a search, and homemade mole sold me. It did not disappoint! So authentic, scratchmade, and next to impossible to find any this good north of Mexico. Service was friendly and super fast. I'll be telling my local friends about this place, and stopping by whenever I'm in the area! My wife & I went to Irmitas for the 2nd time. We went once before and did not care for the experience so we haven't been back for a couple of years. The service was absolutely atrocious! The waitress brought our meal and never came back to check on us. We had to go to the front for our check. The food was not authentic and my wife's tostada bowl she said was tasteless. Best Mexican food in St. George by far! We keep trying places and this one wins. You feel like you are dining in their home, the ladies greet you with a warm sweet smile and the men are in the kitchen. We started off with chips & salsa, they were very good. Moved on to the breakfast burrito which was huge. Inside was steak, rice, beans, lettuce and tomatoes. It was delicious oh and yes salsa. My husband has the traditional Huevos rancheros and they were extremely good, also a huge serving. You want homemade Mexican food done by the sweetest abuleitas then go here. It's adorable. A house full of love and yummy food. There is not a ton of parking but the walk isn't bad. It's in a house and there is outside dining as well. My enchiladas were flavorful as well as my rice and beans. The taco wasn't as good and the chips and salsa were not my favorite. My spouse had the Chile Colorado platter and loved it. Everyone was kind and welcoming and you could tell the servers were all part of this family owned operation. Came here after a race in St. George and we were able to get seated immediately on a Saturday night. There are a number of tables inside but it is a small restaurant and when the patio seating is closed in winter it can fill up quickly. Only a couple parking spots out front and more in the dirt lot next door. The restaurant is so colorful and decorated well, though it was a bit confusing at the front if you order at the counter or at the table. The service is friendly and good but we could tell some people were getting impatient waiting for refills, etc. This is a family-owned restaurant, not a chain, people, so adjust your expectations and you'll enjoy it a lot more. There was only one server for a half-full restaurant and everyone was working hard but didn't seem in a big hurry. The menu is authentic and interesting. I probably should have gotten the mole but I ordered the Carne a la Mexicana platter: thin-sliced steak, grilled onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, served with tortillas, rice and beans. I was starving and though the presentation and flavor was good, I was a little bummed at the paper-thin meat that was almost transparent in some places. Still overall a good plate of food. Beans and rice were okay, a little bland. I had been looking forward to a margarita, but there is no alcohol menu here, darn! They do have aguas frescas and horchata, and Jarritos in bottles. I like supporting local and small businesses but wish there had been a bit more effort or enthusiasm. We might visit another place next time we're in town. read more
