ate here with the homies and it was genuinely a good time! Cannot believe that it was my first time to go here after living here in Washington state for some time. Meats were really good. Absolutely loved the tteokboki, too. Not overpowering on the spice, which I feel a lot of Korean food could be. Hella vegetables on the platter that are so filling. Could not even finish it, so worth the price if you just here to drink. Would rate higher, but service was slow. Did not refill water until u asked. Did not clear table when they would bring plates to table, so had to make multiple trips that delayed the eating time for our table. I like the decoration that gave it a latenight bar feel, though . Also like the separation borders between tables because it felt like the table was in a world of its own. wish that I could rate higher, but the service :(

Divey delicious in the Fed. Fresh, crisp house made kimchee. So guud. Bossam boiled perfectly to tantalizing tenderness, no odor or greasiness to meat but with great flavor. Friendly service and hustling for every request. Awesome late nite spot. Eat here. But do not leave your personal belongings in car.

Recommended by a fam member. We wanted Korean food with variety of selections. I ended up ordering the Bossam, good portions. My date ordered BiBimBop in stone pot. Ban Chan was okay. I asked for leafy lettuce with my meal-Bossam, but it doesn't come with. My date enjoyed his dinner. Service was fine. Refilled my tea and banchan when asked. Lots of parking. Restaurant is dark. Prices fair for the portions/service we had.

We went around 9:30pm, it got really busy on a Wednesday night! I'm glad they are opened till 12am. We ordered couple dishes and I am obsessed with the cheese rice cakes! So cheesy, so chewy, not crazy spicy with a hint of sweetness. The seafood pancakes were so crispy and perfect with the dipping sauce. The bulgogi was okay, it tasted overcooked, and a very strong taste of undercooked oil. It's a very distinctive taste of that. The side dishes were delicious! They took a long time to get the dishes out. So we waited quite some time. And took extra long for rice which they forgot couple times :( but it's okay, it was really busy. Other than that, it's def a good place to hang out with your friends, and enjoy the good food

I tried the bossam, kimchi stew, and tonkatsu cheese rice. The kimchi was very fresh, not too sour, and pretty spicy (both in the bossam and in the stew). The pork was very tender and the tonkatsu was very thin and crispy, though I think the sauce that came with the katsu was a tad too sweet for me. The food came out fast and it wasn't too busy when I went on a tuesday night.

My girlfriend and I went here on a date at about 9 PM. The restaurant was packed, but it was only a 20 minute wait. The food is always amazing. Bogul Bogul Cafe is a go-to spot for me when I'm visiting. The portions are great and there is a big variety of side dishes. The bossam is always a must. It's served with cabbage kimchi and radish/pear kimchi. The meat is tender and not dry at all and the veggies served with it help cut the fat. I will always order this when coming to the restaurant. The kalbi was tender and juicy. Generally when I go to a Korean spot, I judge the quality of ingredients. These ribs were not thin at all, but also not overly thick. The meat to fat ratio was perfect. We wanted a standard tofu stew with just tofu and veggies. They didn't have it on the menu. We asked and the server was very accommodating to our request. The soup was flavorful and slightly spicy, just the way we wanted. The side dishes are delicious and the fact that you get a steamed egg with your meal is great. Overall, this place will always have a customer. ITS ME. I will vouch for this place and go here until I am poor (which will result in me camping the dumpster, slightly joking :) )

When we went it was quite empty with just a few tables. It was on a Saturday at around 7pm but I guess good for us because we had a bigger party. Environment: very Korean like, lots of lights, kpop on tvs and different partitions. Staff: friendly and checked with us when we pressed the little button. We ordered a pretty good amount or I should say the portions were great for sharing! 1. There were so many banchans. They were great and I liked how some were spicy but more were not and they were good and kind when we asked for refills 2. We ordered the bossam and jokbal. The kimchi was very spicy to me but I used the lettuce wraps and they also had nappa cabbage too which lightened the heat. The meats were very good and plenty to go around for everyone. 3. We ordered a bulgogi and it was cooked nicely, even if some parts were overcooked, it was still good and not hard. The flavors were nice as it was a good balance of sweet and savory. 4. Chicken tteokbokki that was a little spicy but with the cheese it helped and the chicken was very tender! 5. The seafood pancake had seafood, unlike other places I've had! It was crispy and not too heavy or dense that it gave an icky oily feeling. It was also very good. Everything was delicious and very reasonable portions for the price you pay.

Great late night spot in Federal Way! We came here only for the Bossam & it was amazing!! The pork was so soft, fatty, & flavorful, the fresh kimchi was crispy and spicy! This was a very large portion too, great for the price. Came with Steamed Egg, 2 Rice, and lots of side dishes! Service was good, there is a button at the tables to easily call over a server for help! So far the best Bossam I've had recently! Definitely coming here again!

Bogul bogul is a staple for late night korean cuisine. I ordered the tonkatsu for the first time and I was so impressed. The texture, taste and portion were all so good and I feel like most restaurants skimp out on one or the other. Your meal will also come with side dishes and even an EGG SOUFFLÉ... they had me at egg soufflé. It seems like most of the workers are all relatively on the younger side, so they're pretty nice and relatable to talk to. Since this place is open till midnight, the atmosphere can be on the louder side. But it's quite comforting with the seating arrangements and interior decoration of soju posters around. Can't be an authentic Korean restaurant without the soju posters haha. I'll definitely be coming back again!

Good spot for a late night fix, and I really appreciate the convenient parking right in front. This restaurant feels like it's a hangout spot for regular customers. We ordered the budae jjigae, it was good- a perfect dish for chatting with friends while satisfying the late night cravings. The warm, hearty flavors of the stew really hit the spot. The atmosphere is laid back, if you're looking for a spot to enjoy some good food with friends at night, bogul bogul is definitely worth a visit.

I've heard tons of good things about this Korean restaurant in federal way so I had to visit with my friends! Their bossam and seafood pancake came in generous portions at reasonable prices which made it a great dinner choice for a group of 5! I loved how tender and lightly seasoned the bossam was and the kimchi was a fresh and savory/spicy pairing to go along with it! Additionally the seafood pancake came crispy and piping hot! Before we know it, we cleared the entire plate of seafood pancake in minutes. They also have tons of other rice and soup dishes as well that I want to try one day! All in all the bossam was such a hit with our group and we raved about it days after!

Possibly one of my FAVORITE korean restaurants in the greater seattle area. Their bossam platter is SOOOO good and slaps every time. It just has the perfect flavor and texture profile. I love the kimchi that comes with it as well, as it feels very home-made and has a deeper flavor. All their other dishes are really yummy as well. Every time I've come here there has been a bit of a wait, but usually doesn't take long and is worth the wait always.

Fish cake soup - big enough to feed 3-4 people

Seriously, this is forever my favorite night spot for eating out late at night. The spicy pork belly is just something so irresistible. The soup is also good, but the soup bowl is always so big. I end up just bringing it home anyway at the end. The service is very convenient. You just have to ring the bell , and the server will be at the table at no time. Remember this restaurant is pretty divey, so there's nothing about fanciness. It's very casual, so please show up in sweats like I do, so you can eat more.

It was crunchy and not too salty or bland. The ratio of scallion, seafood, and batter was perfect. They did not skimp out on the squid. The size of the squid was about one phalange. When I bit into the squid it was chewy, springy, and meaty. It's amazing to me how they managed to make the pancake crunchy despite filling it with so many ingredients. The kimchi and radish were super flavorful and not too spicy! Kimchi was sooo good. Even though the side dishes were limited, I enjoyed the freshness and taste. I also tried the samgyetang (Korean chicken soup) and bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) for the first time. The samgyetang was light and hearty. The broth could have been a bit sweeter. I probably wouldn't order this again though because I like more flavor. Though the bibim naengmyeon was too spicy for me, it was refreshing. The noodles were chewy and the cucumbers added a nice crunch.

However, I had a horrible experience with service in May. It was by far the WORST service I've ever received, even based Asian restaurant standards (iykyk). I've always had older servers, usually ladies but on occasion on gentleman. This time, it was a young girl. It was my first time seeing her there. She had no facial expression to start. And after she repeated our orders, it was incorrect so I correct her. She said "I know", and repeated the wrong order again. When I clarified by listing the correct order, she just rolled her eyes and walked away. Isn't it a server's job to take order, and make sure it's correct? I did not take away from the tips because there are other servers who helped bring our food and refill the banchans, but this encounter made me not want to go back for a while, despite how much I like the food. None of them really stood out to us. We also ordered a few small dishes, including the tofu soup and kimchi fried rice, and while they were decent, they didn't leave much of an impression. As for the meats, our favorites were the marinated chicken, spicy pork, and bulgogi beef. Everything else--including the wagyu beef, beef short ribs, shrimp, scallops, and pork ribs--was good but didn't quite live up to our expectations, especially considering we chose the premium option. We were also misled in the fact that we thought we could get fried chicken here only to find out they don't have it on their menu anymore. This was during a Friday evening around 6pm, and my friend and I got seated immediately since the restaurant was empty. You've got a lot of tables inside that are relatively clean and seat mostly groups of 4 or so. News in Korean is playing on a TV nearby, and the interior just feels calming with the uniform wooden floors and tables. Menu is limited here though most of it is for their traditional hangover soups. My friend and I wanted some meat dishes so we got both their spicy pork and beef bulgogi on sizzling grills. Both meats came sizzling when brought to our table, though they weren't piping hot from what I remember. Spicy pork was hard to chew at times, and my friend had to spit out one piece because it was too hard. It wasn't too spicy though I think it would have benefited from more spice since the flavor wasn't too strong.
