Well, I guess I have to say that the best burger in Hoboken has moved. So amazingly good. Great texture, flavor and temperature. My darling wife enjoyed her steak as well. Of course the atmosphere is charming. Warm and comfortable seating and quiet for good conversation. Our server was excellent with appropriate attentiveness and perfect timing. What a cute spot! Popped in for an afternoon coffee and croissant with a friend. The menu looks great! If I lived around here, I'd be back in for the French onion soup. Beatriz helped us and prepared me a *delicious* cappuccino. She definitely knows her way around coffee. It was also so sweet seeing her care for all the customers- treating each with appropriate attention. It's hard to believe Cafe Tati has been open for only 1 year. We only stopped here for coffee, but this is some of the best brew and service I've had in a while. The waitress was so friendly and great with the customers coming in and out. Cafe Tati is an adorable, welcoming cafe. I met some friends there a while back and sampled a few of their food items. The Hummus was creamy and flavorful. Both of their salads were also terrific. The Hachée was a Mediterranean blend of chopped greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, chickpeas, red onions, and crumbled feta in a lemon vinaigrette. The Le Palm, on the other hand, was a bit more simple, utilizing chopped kale, shallots, walnuts, dates, and shaved Parmesan in the same lemon vinaigrette. They were both so light and fresh! Lastly, I tried their homemade Watermelon Juice, which was beyond refreshing for such a hot day. Today we had an unfortunate experience of ordering a Brie crepe with salmon for our child ($17). The crepe arrived with barely any salmon, so much so that the server couldn't even see it herself. There was barely anything to eat, and my son was still hungry after inhaling the tiny crepe in minutes. The item was from the regular menu (no kids menu here), so this should've been more than sufficient for a child. After calling this to the server's attention, she offered for us to order another $17 crepe, and admitted that these are meant to be their "lighter" meals (which isn't indicated on the menu). This was disappointing. I then asked to remove the extra charge of $6 since they provided no more than a few crumbs of salmon and I'd have to go feed my kid elsewhere, which she again declined to do due to "not being able to reach a manager." Very disappointing experience - the place has potential, but serving an adult priced food item that can't even feed a 7 year old isn't the way to do business. Would've been happy to pay $20+ for the crepe if it was of an adequate size for a brunch item. Find it hard to believe that the staff is unable to remove items after they've been entered - so if something is entered in error the customer must pay anyway? Very dishonest. read more

Truly the most appalling service. We sat down and the waitress took our order. 30 minutes later, nothing, not even water. Eventually our food came. By that point, the table next to us, who ordered before we did and still hadn't received any food, got up and left. By the time we finished our food we still hadn't gotten water or the coffee we ordered. Meanwhile, other tables that sat down after us were getting food and beverages before us. After we repeatedly told them to just cancel the coffees and let us leave they brought us one coffee, but not the other. Will not be returning. read more

Cafe Tati recently opened in downtown Hoboken. It's a great addition to the neighborhood. I was welcomed by the employees while catchy, uplifting music was playing in the cafe. I ordered an iced Americano with cream and the smoked salmon, egg, and cheese croissant. The coffee was smooth and delicious. The croissant was buttery and fresh. The cheese and eggs were perfectly cooked, and there was an ample amount of salmon to complete the sandwich. There are 9 tables outside to enjoy your meal solo or with friends.
