10/10 -- Absolutely Love Jan's Health Bar!…read more Jan's Health Bar has officially become one of my favorite spots! My first visit, I grabbed their cold pasta and a lemonade from the front display cooler, and it was so good that I literally came back the very next day and ordered the exact same thing. Today, I finally decided to explore more of the menu and ordered the Caesar salad wrap and a berry smoothie, and once again, Jan's did not disappoint. The smoothie was delicious, and I'm definitely planning on working my way through more of their smoothie menu! What really impressed me was the Caesar wrap. I had it sitting in my car for a few hours between work shifts before I was able to eat it, and somehow it still tasted incredibly fresh--almost like it had just been made. I did ask for the dressing on the side, which I highly recommend if you're planning on saving your wrap for later. It kept everything fresh instead of getting soggy. I genuinely love this place. Every time I'm in the area, my biggest struggle is deciding whether to go into Jan's or CAVA right next door--but I guess I could have worse problems, right? On top of the great food, the staff at Jan's have always been friendly, welcoming, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. That makes such a difference, especially when you're trying something new. Fresh food, delicious smoothies, great grab-and-go options, and wonderful service. Easy five stars from me. 10/10 would absolutely recommend Jan's Health Bar to a friend!

It is tucked inside a business complex and not super obvious at first. You kind of have to go toward the roundabout and it is on the right side. I definitely circled for a second like wait where is this place. Parking is a little iffy too but they do have two designated spots if you can grab one. But once you find it, it is actually such a cute spot. The vibe is really chill, not over the top, just a nice little place to sit and decompress. It feels like a hidden gem which I kind of love. I went on a Wednesday and they had a buy a drink get a pastry free deal which already sold me. And the pastries are actually so good. Like not just cute good, actually good. The empanadas did not disappoint at all. Coffee was solid, everything felt fresh, and the whole place just has a nice calm energy. It is the kind of spot you go to after an appointment or when you just need a minute to yourself. I would definitely come back, now that I actually know where it is. Just be prepared to hunt for it a little the first time and maybe get lucky with parking.

There is also a very large outdoor patio perfect for coffee break or lunch in a quiet setting. Cafe offers lots of crafted coffee drinks, blended drinks like smoothies and acai bowls. I really appreciate finding a coffee shop that offers a decent breakfast menu without over-the-top prices. It's the perfect spot for a high-quality, reliable morning meal. it looks like they also offer a pretty extensive lunch menu. Its nice to see a woman-owned business thriving in this space. I'll definitely be coming back again to support them. (ps.. please bring back the eggs bites!)

The building where this eatery can be found was in the middle of the complex and not visible from the roadside. That made it difficult for anyone not working in one of the adjacent offices to find this place. If you were not from on-site like me, then it's best to pull into the below ground parking structure at the 11220 El Camino Real address and then exit on the surface level to follow the sidewalk signs to reach The Kitchen. The operating hours were limited between 10 am to 3 pm on weekdays. I would have thought they would be open early to serve breakfast hours and maybe that is in the future plans. There were large tables outside for al fresco dining while the inside seating was modern and spacious. It resembled what you would find in the lobby of an upscale, boutique hotel. I read the seating capacity was up to 200 diners. Four menu boards hung above one of the service stations where the cashier was situated. Salads, bowls, and sandwiches were the main categories. A make-your-own bowl or wrap bar was also available for custom made creations. From the Chef's Choice Bowls, my selection was the Soba Salmon Noodles. Three small pieces of soy sesame glazed salmon were accompanied by buckwheat soba, cabbage, cucumber, carrot, edamame, and green onion. If you look at the photo of my order, then you will notice the meager serving as the amount of food did not even fill half of the bowl. That was disappointing for a price of $15. The taste of the mix was fine as the soy flavor was prominent. Between the portion size and the challenging location, I limited my rating of The Kitchen at Torrey View to three stars.
