Our first time here. And I'll preface my review by saying I'm not vegan, nor am I vegetarian. I'm not opposed to vegan or vegetarian (or we wouldn't have come here). I just traditionally like meat. That said, my wife and mother and I came to Venti's for dinner while in Salem. They each ordered the more traditional meat hamburgers and fries. I decided since it was a vegan-forward restaurant, I'd try a vegan dish. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you, so it's a little more like a diner than a "fine dining" restaurant. Our service was good, quick and friendly. The atmosphere is a bit cold, but not off-putting. I ordered the Red Curry Pasta with a Side Salad. Other reviewers seemed to be raving about the red curry, so I thought it was worth a try. I can see why they rave about it. It was excellent! And the side salad had a variety of ingredients, so it wasn't "just a side salad". I tried the avocado ranch dressing and it was fine. Not stellar, but good. The pasta had just the right amount of sauce and was very flavorful. Now to the meat. You might expect a vegan-forward restaurant to have meat dishes as kind of an afterthought. But both my wife and mother raved about their burgers. My wife got the Rooster Burger and mom got the traditional House Burger. With meat. And cheese. And fries. They LOVED the burgers. All of us want to go back next time we're in Salem and the biggest problem will be deciding what to order. Well done, Venti's! read more

Always a treat to eat at Venti's when we're in Salem. The food is incredible, and I love that the menu is fully vegan unless you choose to pay extra for an alternate protein--this brings me great joy! Came here on a Thursday or Friday evening to see the underground brewery area. It was so cool and artsy! Food here was absolutely amazing!! we tried the spinach, artichoke dip, one of the veggie burgers and the nachos with jackfruit and loved everything and our leftovers! We found ourselves driving through Salem, OR earlier and thus, in need of a spot for a good vegan meal! Well, the vegan gods rained plant based blessings upon us by guiding (some might say .. delivering lol) us to Venti's Cafe & Beer Vault in the charming downtown area of Salem. Upon entering, I first took notice of the whimsical welcoming ambiance inside, sort of reminded me of Chickpea in Vancouver, BC. Also, I had to fight back a smirk when reading about the upcharge for anyone ordering meat based options, I mean it's about time eateries started being vegan by default and adding an upcharge "meat tax" lol instead of the typical vegan-tax we vegans all too often have to incur. It's no wonder the vegan gods delivered us :) to Venti .. given that everything they had to offer was truly divine, which I offer without hyperbole of any kind, just complete sincerity!! The Grilled Cheese consisted of a parmesan crusted sourdough bread with not one but *two* melted vegan cheeses (cheddar and smoked provolone), the Truffle Fries were bold and unapologetic in their truffle-y goodness, the Tomato Basil Soup was rich and loaded with flavor and last but certainly not least, the Vegan Red Curry Mac was really delicious and brought the punch. For the latter, the individual bites didn't feel hot in and of themselves but rather it was the accumulated effect that really left a lasting impression. I think the dish could maybe benefit from a side of vegan yogurt, to add a freshness and help balance the heat but that's not to imply this dish was lacking in any way, it was sooo good! As if that wasn't enough, they also offer a raw vegan cake dessert. Sadly, we didn't get the chance to try as we didn't take notice until after we had already ordered our food. Between the decadence of the food and joyful ambiance, coupled with a charming location in downtown Salem, this will definitely be a place for use to revisit many time over! read more

I have been here a few times now, we drive from Albany just for this place. I've tried the vegan avocado burger and the boulder bowl, they were both AMAZING. The tots are also delicious. Probably the best vegan food i've ever had and I consider myself an avid "tryer" of vegan food lol. Staff is super nice and the vibe is great & a great happy hour menu!! Couldn't recommend more. The food was absolutely delicious, and I was so impressed by the incredible variety of vegan options. We tried the nachos, red curry, and the BTA pita--all fantastic! The space itself is super cute, with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The chef was incredibly friendly and even came by to chat with us, offering great recommendations and making sure we could get exactly what we wanted. Well I hate to have to do this. I'm basing this review on something I always order /ordered here and been coming to ventis since the reed opera house. I would always order The Original bowl. With yakisoba noodles and all the veggies. Even after they changed there chicken. I miss the big green flash ovens with those huge chunks of chicken. Now all you get is a few decent sized pieces of chicken that doesn't seem as if it's cooked to order. Also now they got rid of the yakisoba noodles! I get downsizing and what not but make it makes sense. If you're going to keep The Original on the menu than first off it shouldn't cost freaking 18 dollars for just some rice, chicken and veggies. The OG meal should be one thing that should be an OG price. I know inflation and all that. But my goodness. It's one of the simplest things on the menu. This place was part of my teenage years. Dino I still love ya. But dang. I have no reason to come back and eat here now. Again this review is only for the Original Bowl. Still great place and good vibes. But so expensive. read more

Plainly and simply, this is the best place for vegan food, options and quality, in the area. Outside of Eugene and Portland, this is the place to stop. They're always friendly, gracious and welcoming, and it's been very chill every time. Great beer selection, service is always quick, and the food is consistently good. This is coming from someone who has driven over an hour, one way, for a meal out. Not sure what the hell took us so long to come around, but glad we did. read more

We checked out the new Beer Vault at Venti's Cafe. The art deco-inspired lighting highlights a cozy place for a beer or two. There are a few appetizers that one can order unique to the vault. But the full Venti menu is available as well. But the beer selection is the star. In addition to an impressive list of draft brews, one can order a premium bottled craft beer aged in a cooling vault adjacent to the bar area. I had the fish street tacos, which were very good. We went for lunch after a work event, and enjoyed that there is indoor and outdoor seating. We of course decided on outdoor as it was a gorgeous day in October (which is normally not heard of) you have to order inside, but the staff is fun, friendly and quick. We ordered takeout of two salads and crispy tots. The tots and sauces were delicious, however, one salad was really good, but the other was not as advertised. The lettuce was wrong and the avocado was nowhere to be found. The service was very slow and we had to ask the cashier for our food when we saw our order sitting there for quite a while. Depends on who you are. Service seemed slower and avoided us. Sandwiches were good but only expect good service if you are like the mainstream. We are a unique couple and it is always a 50/50 chance of good service. But we smile....people will be nice to us if we live long enough....we are part of the future. read more

Went to pick up burgers last night and spent $44 for 2 custom cheese burgers with side salads in place of fries, large fries with bacon and shredded cheddar cheese (very little cheese and bacon on top of the greasy fries). We thought it would have great taste being medium rare, but burgers were medium, dry and thin. Never going back! Only went because Bo & Vine was closed. No comparison! read more

I'm not sure how to write this review... We ate lunch outside on the sidewalk at Venti's today. The three of us all ordered bowls (which taste very good, with nice, fresh ingredients). However, when the server brought our meals to us, he missed the table and dumped my wife's meal upside-down on her lap. It made a terrible mess on her top and jeans. The sauce gets very sticky in these bowls. She ran to the restroom to get cleaned up as much as possible, and they made a new bowl for her, but there was NO COMPENSATION at all for this terrible mess. I expected, at the very least, that the server or manager would come out and give her, at a minimum, a coupon towards a meal on a different day. Most places would refund the cost of the entire meal, but in Venti's case, all we got was "I'm sorry that happened. He just got to work today. What a way to start a shift!" So, food is very good here, but I'm extremely disappointed in the service this time. read more
