Foods good but they didn't allow extra avocado which they do in place of dairy when we said no sour cream and light cheese...they typically do this for us but I guess this guy didn't want to today. Easily the worst cafe yumm experience I've ever had. Online says dining room open til 10 but apparently it is 9, as soon as we sat down employee told us they would not serve us in the dining room beyond takeout. Tried to take the food outside and I guess they have to lock up their outside chairs too... employees also locked the door on us the MOMENT we exited the door. First time experiencing Cafe Yumm. Menu board was easy to navigate along with photo suggestions. I ordered the Original Medium Yumm Bowl with chicken. I took a seat in the dining area and my order was delivered to my table within 5 minutes. My first reaction was that I thought that they made a mistake and brought me the 'small' sized bowl. That wasn't the case though. I can't imagine what a 'small' bowl would look like.because the 'medium' was no larger than a small kids cereal bowl. It made me chuckle. The bowl itself was very flavor and everything was very fresh. My only complaint is that $17 for the medium bowl and a soda was too pricey for the portion size. I left still feeling hungry and I'm not a big eater. I would return again because the bowl was great but I would have to pay an additional $3.00 for get the large sized bowl so as to not leave feeling still hungry. read more

My husband and I go here often because of the amazing food of course but also because of the people who work here. They are always so friendly and accommodating! And NICE! But the main reason we go here is because the manager/owner is always there working her tail off to make sure her customers are taken care of. An amazing lovely woman! I'm still not sold on Café Yumm yet, but after this weekend, I'm warming up to them a bit. I'm just going to come out and say it: their name is dumb. There it is. Shots fired! Ugh, I can't stand it. It gave me basically no idea what to expect when I walked in the doors with my wife (who IS a fan), so I was flying blind. That's a serious branding issue, if you ask me. Anyway, I took a few suggestions from here, cross-referenced the menu, and settled on a medium Hot 'N' Jazzy bowl with chicken. It reminded me of a fancier, healthier, more expensive version of one of the bowls you can get at Taco Bell (I know that's a bit of a harsh comparison, but there you have it). By itself, it was a little bland, but with a liberal application of Yumm sauce (ugh, that name again!), it was pretty tasty. I wasn't blown away, but I was content at the end. Sadly I was hungry again a few hours later, but that tends to happen with calories that burn off easily. The interior was spotless, and the outdoor dining area would have been perfect on a less scorching hot day, so we enjoyed the A/C instead of roasting in the sun. Service was polite and pleasant, although there was a highly obnoxious back-and-forth switcheroo of people taking our order, as the guy who started taking out order left to chase down a lady who had forgotten her phone; we had to reset with the second person, who came to take his place, then reset a third time when he returned to take over the order again. Obviously this is an isolated incident, but frustrating nonetheless. Nitpicks aside, the ingredients used to assemble the various bowls, salads and wraps appear to be high quality, and a pretty good deal for the price. However, be aware that every add-on is another nickel or dime, so the seemingly low prices for each entrée can skyrocket quickly, if you're not paying attention. I don't see myself seeking out Café Yumm (augh!) again personally, but I can imagine I will end up at one or another at some point, either in the company of my wife, or ordering on her behalf. If so, now that I know what they're all about, and what to expect, I suspect I'll be alright ordering another bowl or wrap, provided there's a liberal amount of Yumm sauce on the side, and I haven't ground my teeth to dust from thinking about their dumbass name. read more

I'm not the type to leave a review like this but what the f**. All Cafe Yums usually take a while for drive thru, whatever. But this location specifically, I was beyond fuming. I drive up, they take my order, cool. I pull up to the next window and no joke, I sat there for 10 minutes before ANYONE even acknowledged me or opened that drive thru window. I truly thought for a moment I would have to drive away and just go inside because they forgot about me. I think that that is incredibly rude and terrible customer service. No one even apologized for me having to wait and in fact, all the dudes were rude and seemed like they don't know what the f they are doing. ON TOP of all of this, i paid for and ordered extra tempeh and I definitely did not get extra. So disappointing honestly ): Definitely never coming here again. read more

I really like their wraps but they don't always get my order correct. Unfortunately by the time I get home I'm too darn tired to call to let them know they made a mistake. If it's too big of a mistake, I toss the food, but if it's just meh, small mistake, I'll eat it. The problem is that more often than not, mistakes are made. I used to visit at least once a week but now, it's been a few weeks since I have been there. I'm just tired of gambling to see if they will get the order correct. Food was improperly prepared as to what I ordered. A "sauce" was added to the rice ... I am VERY sensitive to spices and my mouth burns for hours afterward. So I take ALL precautions to placing my Small Original bowl with no olives, no Yumm sauce and no re salsa. Drove 6 miles away to discover they ruined my night. Called and was told to come back for replacement. I drive back go inside as asked. Present the leftover Original bowl. Am told they are waiting for rice to finish is Jasmine rice ok? Sure, I have been hugely inconvenienced already. He offers a protein I do not want a protein, but I will take less rice and more beans. I proceed to tell him there is definitely a difference in the consistency of tonight's bowl. He says I am from the other location I think my crew back there is doing great tonight. I disagreed so I proceeded to talk and he turned his back to me disregarded what I was saying. It has been my routine to pick up an Original bowl weekly at this location for 3-4 months. I can honestly say this was the last they will see of me. The bowl I was given as a replacement was a medium size to begin with half full of rice and "normal" amount of beans and dam them the first one barely had any sour cream this one had none..... Now I wait to see if I will be sick .... you should never complain and then eat the replacement ... or so I've been told!!!!! read more

I ordered through door dash which a jazzy wrappit cost me over $30. I was fine with that but I wasn't fine with them getting my order wrong. I specifically said no Cilantro because my husband is allergic to it. When I got my order. His first bite was full of cilantro! He drove to the facility on Millplain and Chaklov and had his order replaced. The lady Alexi apologized but I had called to complain. I was told by a girl named Lexi that if I didn't like their store to go to 192nd. WTF! Waited 17 minutes at the drive thru window waiting for my one yumm bowl. I'm ok with waiting if things happen but no one opened the window to communicate a single thing in the time frame and when they did I got a "here ya go" and my food. Cafe Yumm is freaking AMAZING!! I'm totally addicted to the Yumm Sauce. Do they add drugs to the secret sauce or is it just that dang good? I've been to several Cafe Yumms in the Portland metro arean and they have all been great. The last few years I hadn't been to one as they are not super convenient to where I live or work. Since I started bowling on a league once a week in Vancouver I discovered I could swing by this location and get my Yumm fix. So happy I did! The staff are always super nice. I get take out and they always get my order out quickly. I also like that they ask if you need a bag, fork, or chopsticks. Bonus points for being environmentaly friendly! read more

But I try to eat clean so they've been my answer to "fast food" My food arrived in a sealed untampered bag. The container was well closed inside the bag. As was the bug inside the food. we called the cafe yumm on 192nd where we go our food only to be told they would not accept responsibility and that it was the fault of the delivery driver. needless to say.. that's just bad business. It's positively astounding how the simple ingredients this place serves up can be so delicious. I've ended up buying take home bottles and jars of the sauce! The staff is always incredibly friendly and so conscious of impact - I've asked to have just the bowl to-go before with no bag, napkins or utensils and they're happy to oblige without a fuss. I'll admit my first trip here I wasn't 100% on it. I think it's because I didn't like the combination of the sour cream with the Yumm sauce. Since, I've stuck to the smoky or jazzy bowls, substituting the dairy for extra avocado. Problem solved! read more

We stopped by here for a quick lunch on the way to airport and were pleasently surprised on the many many vegetarian options they have , it took me a while to choose from the list. We finally settled for vegetarian garlic chilli burger which came with tasty coleslaw , a wrap with hot n jazzy bowl filling ,hot n jazzy bowl and a minestrone soup. All dishes were delicious and very fresh. The server was very friendly and she came by to check on us couple times. I specifically liked the yumm sauce ( good job chef! ) . We loved the bowl so much, grabbed to-go boxes from airport Cafe Yumm as our dinner on flight. My husband and I like the food here and that we can drive through. Because of the proximity to our home, we probably end up having at least one meal here per week. I have been frustrated on many occasions to arrive home and find that our order is wrong. Usually, I order a deluxe quesadilla with grilled chicken and no olives. I'd say that about 25% of the time, they charge for the chicken, but leave it off. Since we are already home when this is discovered, I just accepted it. Today was a double-header: no chicken (after requesting TWICE and confirming with the order taker) and WITH olives. We have been patient and also are generous with tipping at the window, regardless of past experiences. Today, since they did it again, we've had enough! We won't be going back. Sadly, someone's recurrent lack of attention to detail has cost this location loyal customers. I know businesses are struggling for workers, but there is NO EXCUSE for this recurring problem. I know it's just a mistake, but repeatedly taking my money for something that isn't provided makes me feel cheated and disrespected. I found a sharp splintered wooden stick in my rice. I bit into it on accident and it's stabbed my mouth. The tofu was AWFUL. Rock hard and very dry. I love ordering Cafe Yum by my work in Clackamas. This location was drastically different. The chicken in my yum bowls was dried out like jerky. No cilantro in the bowl and the avocado should have been tossed 2 days ago. I also ordered a teriyaki bento. That had enough chicken on it for a 2 year old and enough rice for a football team. Maybe it was the time of day? Who knows. I think I'll save my Cafe Yum fix for when I'm in Clackamas/ Happy Valley. For food this expensive, it should be fresh. read more

I eat a cafe yumm at least once a week and order the same thing. Stopped at this location (not my usual) and ordered a bowl to go. Started to eat it on the way home and was shocked how cold it was. Refrigerator cold. I'm guessing since it was towards the end of night they probably put stuff away early and pulled it from fridge to make it. I was so tired and hungry I was willing to eat it cold except it had also had a strong vinegar taste. It was so strong after two bites I decided to toss it and find something at home. Delicious healthy lunch options! I Had the Spicy Jazzy bowl and it was so delicious and so fresh. Each element In the bowl was spot-on fresh and delicious; from the rice , to the beans, and sauces plus the avocado were fresh, clean and then you take your spoon and mix it all together and viola a flavor explosion. Been here once before. Decided to give it a try a second time. Customer service was great and the bowls have a good flavor, but a medium bowl with tempeh ($2 extra) which turned out to be just 4 bite-sized slices (sad) and presentation that did not reflect the photos on their website or their menu of how the bowl was supposed to look (they are rather conservative on the toppings, in reality) resulted in a completely underwhelming and unsatisfying dining experience (double sad). The bowl was sized like a side dish, but charged as though it's a main entree (total paid = $11.33). That bowl was worth more like $6.50, but definitely no more than $7. The Yumm sauce is definitely the highlight (extra star), but I guess I can just learn to make that at home. There are plenty of copycat recipes for it online. read more

Cafe YUMM is right, just what we needed after a day in the smoky Portland area and before heading back to Seattle. They advertise over 50% is organic and if ask, they will tell you. Bree was excellent in dealing with all our questions and dietary needs. Also, It's organic without the big price tag. The bowls were very good and The medium size is plenty for most dinners, salmon burger a little over cooked was still very good and excellent choices for sides and they will gladly make it your way. They made a mistake on one of the bowls and the corrected immediately. Oh yes, try the yumm sauce. For dessert they have cookies, dipped in chocolate we had to have one of each and we are glad we did, my favorite is chocolate chip. So incredibly slow! They had one family in the dining room and two cars in the driveway. The cars in the driveway got their food much quicker than we did despite ordering after us. I stopped eating here years ago due to this exact thing. SO SLOW! However family members put in a request to us to bring this particular dinner to the hospital.
