Have been here a few times now and have enjoyed it. There are 2 areas of this restaurant. The back room has a more loungy, elegant vibe. The other is more airy as it's under a skylight, during daylight hours it feels like you're sitting in a cafe outside. The cocktails are expertly made. We really enjoy the breads and spreads. Save room for the sundae, it's worth it.

Beautiful restaurant and great service but the food was not good. Our server really hyped up the food. We ended up ordering everything he recommended and nothing we liked. The steak was bloody and lacked flavor. And the rest I can't even remember because it was just bland. Our check was almost $500. It was four of us and we only had one drink each. Maybe go for drinks and an instagram post but I don't recommend this place for dinner.

This has to be one of my favorite restaurants I've visited in New York. I come into the city every few months for work and usually make it a point to try somewhere new each time... but I might have to break that rule for this place. From the moment you walk up to the façade and step inside, every detail feels so intentionally designed and absolutely beautiful. It's perfect for a small group, a date night, or dinner with friends. The ambiance is stunning, the service is incredible, and the food is beyond amazing. They were also very attentive to gluten-free allergies, which I really appreciated. When you combine gorgeous décor, exceptional food, and a wonderful staff, it's tens across the board. Thank you for such a memorable experience -- I truly look forward to coming back.

Don't go for brunch or lunch. Bad service in so many ways, good decor and ambiance and not good food. Shakshuka was very watery and not flavorful. Jerusalem bagel came cold and tasted old and bland. The skewers (beef and fish one) were just fine. It was very disappointing as Raf's is one of my favorite restaurants but they got a lot of things wrong here. The only saving grace is the ambience.

The customer service was excellent, and our waiter helped us a lot with the things that were new to us. I had a nut allergy, and he was spot on with everything and always called out everything that contained nuts. The fries were the best I've had so far in restaurant experiences. I can't explain it, just order the fries, and you'll see what I mean. I wanted all the appetizers but settled for oysters, fried cheese and fries but loved it. Had a sundae as dessert and we are still talking about it.The ambiance was perfect.

The location and atrium is a total vibe. We snagged an early dinner reservation because that's all we could get - it was empty at first but filled up quickly! Drink menu is fun but a bit pricy. I thought the food was good but as a local, not good enough to visit regularly.

The vibe is great and the room is beautiful (remember to look at the art on the walls). The food is good and creative. Service was choppy and staff didn't seem to have it all together which I understand at a new place on a very busy Saturday evening.

The service is still quick and friendly even though I no longer see the original to me owners. Operating out of a tiny, fast-moving storefront, Mamoun's is a legendary staple of Village food culture, known for serving affordable Middle Eastern classics late into the night. Using their exact menu terminology, here is how the food breaks down: Shawarma Sandwich: Thinly sliced 100% lamb cooked slowly on a vertical spit with signature spices, stuffed into a warm pita pocket with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and smooth tahineh sauce. The Manhattan: One of their loaded signature sandwiches featuring deep-fried falafel, creamy hummus, smoky baba ganouj, and fresh tabbouleh, all packed into a pita with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, pickled turnips, olives, and tahineh. Famous Hot Sauce: Made in-house from imported hot pepper spices, this signature crimson sauce is famously potent--just a few drops add a massive kick of heat to any sandwich or plate. Lines often stretch down MacDougal, but the team works with speed to get sandwiches out in seconds. A timeless NYC destination for quick, authentic Middle Eastern food.

Their shawarma is honestly some of the best I've had in NYC--juicy, well-seasoned, and wrapped or plated in a way that feels very satisfying without being greasy or heavy. What makes the place even better is the variety on the menu. You're not limited to just wraps; there's a good mix of platters and rice-based dishes too, which makes it easy to go back and try something different each time. The biryani is a pleasant surprise--fragrant, well-spiced, and not overly oily--and the kofta with rice is especially good, really tender and flavorful with a nice balance of spices. Overall, it's a solid go-to for consistently tasty, authentic comfort food.

Also- I don't usually like cauliflower a whole lot... I'll eat it if it's there... but this was the BEST cauliflower I've ever had, roasted so evenly with oil and an amazing texture. Squash, falafel, and jerusalem salad were all great too. The mint leaves in the watermelon salad were not very fresh, and so I think the price for it was steep- $13-but they do give you a lot so that's nice. I really liked the Hawa cola (zero sugar kind) as well.

This is officially my new go to spot and I'm going to be telling everyone about it. I got there right at our reservation time, but the uptown trains had completely stopped and my friend had to walk all the way from Canal St to the East Village. It took her about 30 minutes to get there (), but the staff were so kind about it. They never made me feel uncomfortable or pressured to order while I waited, which I really appreciated. I did end up ordering a couple things so there would be food on the table when she arrived. We got the za'atar fries and the falafel with tahini and pita. Delishhhh For our mains, my friend got the chicken kebab which looked fantastic, and I got the veggie couscous bowl. It was unbelievable. It tasted exactly like the couscous my mom and safta made when I was growing up, even down to the broth being served with it. Eating it honestly made me feel like I was six years old again. This was one of my favorite meals as a kid and I haven't had it like that in so long, so I was so happy to find a place that does it this well. The vegetables were perfect with zucchini, butternut squash, cauliflower, and chickpeas, and I loved the addition of raisins and onions. Everything was also really reasonably priced for what you get. The energy in the restaurant was great and I loved that they have hooks for coats so you're not crammed at the table with jackets and bags. Overall just such a fantastic experience. This is easily my new favorite restaurant in the city and I cannot wait to come back.
