    Turkey

Grabbed a couple of turkey sandwiches to pack off for the flight to Florida. Great turkey and bread, better than typical tomatoes, and the sandwiches were fresh and tasty for our trip. Our seat neighbor even commented that they looked great for airport fare. Employee who took the order was great. Guy who 'dressed' the sandwich may not have been having his best day, and cashier was very friendly. A solid stop to get something to go.

chicago o'hare international airport...one of the united hubs for connecting flights...quality food options are quite slim at o'hare and daughter was hungry...she selected manchu for food and cafe zoot for dessert...after consuming some soggy orange chicken, went over to cafe zoot which had a short line...got to the registered and asked for a ice cream cone...told to walk over to the ice cream counter...1 scoop cone $5.46...selected cookies and cream...cafe zoot offers some simple sandwiches, pastries, coffee drinks and ice cream, but at airport prices...sandwiches looked pretty simple, but piled high with lettuce to appear fat...

Pretty bad Italian sandwich. Barely any meat (maybe 5 pieces total? And THIN ones at that) and the hot peppers were pickled jalapeños you might get from a can. The servers were dismissive and unfriendly. The prices are high. There are not any redeeming qualities of this place- only stop if you are out of all other options.

The place is overpriced and it tastes so bad! It tastes disgusting and they should be ashamed to run a business like this. The price isn't good. I would rather eat at McDonald's which is only five min walk from this food court

Roast Beef with everything except black olives

Woot Woot for Cafe Zoot - Hey ya'll I was impressed, not overly impressed but still impressed. Anyone wondering the aisles at O' Hara knows the food choices are limited and there are a lot of joints playing on the Chicago food theme with the Pizza Pie and the Italian Beef or the hotdogs and even a Nuts on Clarke none misleading but nothing I'd hang my hat on and call a must have while passing through this terminal. I stopped by Zoot in search of something freshly prepared under a hundred dollars for a quick lunch before catching my next flight, certainly you must know if Chicago was my final destination I'd be saving my appetite for something downtown no matter how hungry I was after deplaning. After watching the sandwich making process for a few minutes and the employees efficiently and continuously serve customer after customer I decided on a roast beef on a toasted roll loaded up with everything but black olives, in my opinion all olives should be green and served on a thin crust pizza or in a chilled martini glass period end of story. I got in line behind a pilot who was loading up the feed bag before boarding his flight and it seems he had experienced Zoot before because he was really peeling off the napkins in preparation for his mile high feast. My sandwich came off the oven conveyor and the girl dressed it and wrapped it in less than a NY minute I grabbed as bag of bbq chips, cashed out and was one my way to find a suitable sit that may or may not have been wiped down this week at the handy dining area behind this food court. I liked the product it was pretty good quality, the veggies were fresh and the bread wasn't stale and although the meat portion was rather slim it was good so I'd say it's okay by me...

Toasted sandwich on multigrain bread with turkey, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and black olives. With a red delicious apple.

Good place to get a quick, healthy lunch to go at the airport. I got a toasted sandwich on multigrain bread with turkey, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and black olives. With a red delicious apple, it was a complete and tasty meal. The line was long but it moved fast. There is a separate line for made-to-order sandwiches and another line for drinks and other stuff. Definitely recommend this place if you are on the run and want something fresh that's fast to grab and go to your gate.

    The goods.

Kudos to the tram working around 6:00pm on January 30 - friendly, efficient and they made a solid quesadilla. Thanks!

The salsa's they give you are delicious, and the red one has a smokiness that makes it a stand out. There was a crowd when I got there, but after many people had recommend this place to me, I knew I had to try it. Plus the centralish location definitely helps, my gate was in the C concourse but tortas fronteras is located pretty close to it so it wasn't much of a detour. They also have plenty of seating, but I took my food to my gate. I got the mushroom quesadilla, it was STUFFED. Despite the crowd I didn't have to wait too long either- probably took only 15 min. The quesadilla itself was delicious and super cheesy, but with the salsa itself was even better! Next time im flying through o hare I'll definitely come back!

Now they use a conveyor belt style method similar to fast food pizza joints. The bread doesn't come out as solid and the ingredients have changed as well. My go-to option was always the Cubana. It tasted like ones you can get in south Flordia. Now, it still tastes good but very comparable to any other joint that serves it. The service is still made-to-order and they alot 15 minutes to make the dish. If you're in a hurry, do not order from here. They do allow dine in as they have a limited amount of dining tables and access at their bar. One good thing about this place is they source some of their ingredients locally.

I remember it was a gem and couldn't wait to go to their airport cafe during my layover in Chicago. I walked and walked and walked to reach the Berghoff Cafe. It is located in Terminal 1, Concourse C, near gate 26 and it was TOTALLY WORTH THE WALK! Of course, I had the REUBEN. The fellow sliced up several thick slices of REAL corned beef and put it on homemade rye bread and added sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. He pressed it in a panini press. Then added the Thousand Island dressing. This was served to me in a TO GO BOX along with a pickle. It was absolutely delicious and very filling. The atmosphere was very nice with wood tables, a wood bar, checkered floor, etc. I wish though, that my EAT IN ORDER was placed on a plate. Everyone was eating out of boxes. This didn't fit the ambiance. THIS WAS THE BEST REUBEN I have had in years!! Warm, Delicious, Flavorful and Filling!! I highly recommend the Berghoff Cafe!! For the COMPLAINERS, why would you order a quesadilla at a German restaurant? It's like ordering fish at a steakhouse.

I enjoyed interacting with the employees and the lady behind the counter was very efficient and very welcoming. There is a lot of seating and you can stand in line. Place your order and they make the omelette right in front of you. Since it was the morning I didn't have a drink but they seem to have a full bar and a lot of their own brand of IPAs. Definitely something to keep in mind if you're in the seat Gates at Chicago O'Hare airport.

I got the Crispy Chicken Milanesa. It probably took about 5-7 min to prepare. My first though was it's probably better quality than most US airport food. To break it down, it wasn't the chicken that really stood out. I thought it was the mix of ingredients was well proportioned and the bread was just the right texture and thickness to hold everything in place but not too voluminous. It was good, but I'm sure one could get an equally good torta in the city. Overall, it was fine. Was it better than other options in the airport? Probably. Is it amazing otherwise? Not really. Was it expensive for what you get? Yes, a little bit. When I'm at the airport, my goal is to fill myself up as cheaply as possible, in which case I probably wouldn't go back.
