Even the Loch Ness monster can't pass up a cup at that price. The coffee was actually really good, considering this Summer House is in an airport. There was no one else there at such an early hour, so I was able to just walk up and order my coffee and receive it right away. Summer House is a California-based chain, and they have a lot of good-looking sweets, like cookies, muffins and Rice Krispie treats. They also have a full menu of other things like salads and brunch things. I didn't get any food, though -- just coffee. So if you're looking for a place in O'Hare to get black coffee that isn't that one place, this is a good option.

The atmosphere was very nice with wood tables, a wood bar, checkered floor, etc. I wish though, that my EAT IN ORDER was placed on a plate. Everyone was eating out of boxes. I thought it was the mix of ingredients was well proportioned and the bread was just the right texture and thickness to hold everything in place but not too voluminous. It was good, but I'm sure one could get an equally good torta in the city. Overall, it was fine. Was it better than other options in the airport? Probably. Is it amazing otherwise? Not really. Was it expensive for what you get? Yes, a little bit. When I'm at the airport, my goal is to fill myself up as cheaply as possible, in which case I probably wouldn't go back.
