Took a red eye from HNL to ORD and was looking for something for breakfast. Came across this place that had sandwiches and waited in line for 10 minutes only to find out you had to get it as is- sausage egg and cheese could ONLY come on a croissant and it was almost $5 and a small cup of OJ was nearly $4! As one of the only bakeries in concourse C, I understand some people would just buy it because they're hungry but I'm not going to buy something I won't eat. So, it's exactly like Potbelly's, except the sandwiches are more expensive and there are different potential condiments/toppings. And the service was ruder. But it seems like they use the same medium-quality meat and toppings, the exact same size and type of bread, and put it through the exact same conveyer-heater thing. The sandwiches look good but they are all automatically heated up. I asked for them just to heat the bread, not the meat, cheese, etc. that went on it. I actually said it 5 times, 3 times in a different way. They are on autopilot there and couldn't believe someone was asking for something that veered from the norm. Had a $10 mustard sandwich on wheat for the first time, it was really mustardy. If you like mustard get the mustard sandwich you will love it! (Especially cause of all the mustard) I think there was ham in it too, not sure..cause my brain was so focused on all dat musty! I had a toasted veggie sandwich (made with bell peppers and mushrooms), and had tomatoes, lettuce and hot peppers added to it, along with Italian dressing (~$7 with tax). Not a big line at this place. It's setup for people to grab food from a refrigerated case. It's quick and easy and you have to set your expectations at places like this in the airport. They are setup to grab and go eat somewhere near your flights gate seating. This is what I did and my expectations were met. They had a decent selection and they were quick so all good. read more

This place needs to work on their customer service skills. I don't care if you work in an airport or not, you shouldn't treat customers like this no matter what. If you don't like dealing with some of the more grouchy people, then go work SOMEWHERE else. I was only at the window long enough to order a couple of muffins - I was friendly and I clearly felt like I was intruding on their personal time by even coming up and placing an order. And she had no sooner shoved the muffins in a bag and pushed them at me and she was like "NEXT!" She didn't even give me enough time to shove my change back in my wallet or grab my bag. I felt thoroughly rushed and it wasn't like there was a line behind me. I think there was one other person waiting behind me and that was it. And there wasn't like there was a line in front of me either. I walked right up and was served within seconds. It was beyond rude. The muffins were ok, but not great. We ordered two banana chocolate chip muffins. But based on how they treat their customers, I wouldn't recommend this place if you can eat somewhere else. Wants to be Potbelly's and almost succeeds. As far as airport food goes, this sandwich shop is an OK option. The set up is basically the same as Potbelly's except that there is no signage explaining what will be on the sandwich and no effort by the staff to explain. The sandwiches are run through the same kind of conveyor oven used at Potbelly's, although my sandwich was not noticeably warm. I had the Turkey on white with white being the only option. It had way too much yellow mustard but was an otherwise descent sandwich for $7.00. Still, if you are a Potbelly fan, you will not be 100% satisfied.
