A friend who lives in Brighton Center said she knew a great place for us to catch up, and off we walked to Cafenation. I had never noticed it before, and I was quite surprised and pleased overall. My friend raved about their salads and sandwiches, but I couldn't get the Swiss, mushroom and carmelized onion breakfast bagel sandwich off my mind the second I saw it on the menu. It was hot, gigantic and delicious! My only complaint was that the bagel was barely toasted, but the sandwich was still very hot. They have a great selection of tea and coffee and super friendly staff. I will definitely be back! read more

3.75 My banana and nutella crepe was good. However persnickety me thought they overdid it on the nutella and on the other hand gave me just too small of a dab of whipped cream. The hot cocoa was so good I wish I asked for a larger cup. It looks to be a popular hangout with folks to eat in or for running in for food and coffee to go, even at 9 am on a Monday holiday! Everywhere I go I need to have somewhere that will satisfy my coffee dependency. Cafe Nation makes some damn good coffee!! I always get their caramel lattes. If you want lunch they have amazing crepes and sandwiches that come with a little salad on the side. My fav is their hummus sandwich or the Mediterranean omelet crepe. read more

God, this place has some of the slowest service ever. They also tend to get caught up in whatever else they are doing to hear me when I say I want something ICED. Then when they give me the hot latte and I ask them to correct it, they look at me as if I should've been reminding them throughout the process that no, I do not want it hot, thank you. Ok so the food is delicious, you can't deny it. I live right in the area and frequent the cafe for a hungover bagel sandwich. The bagels are from bagel rising which this JAP has deemed the best in the area. Crepes, sandiwches, coffee, tea... literally everything is good and healthy. BUT my biggest problem is the distinct scent of this establishment. You can smell it standing on the corner outside, while you wait inside in line, and if you didn't get enough you clothes will remind you for the rest of the day, hell I think I can smell it from my apartment sometimes. I just cant put my finger on it; it's not burnt cheese, or burnt coffee or toast... its just the smell of Cafenation. But its not bad enough to keep me from going. End of story. read more

Love this place. Yes, it's small and the seats fill up, but when a coffee shop is this good, you have to expect it. Their bagel sandwiches are phenomenal (called the "rounder"), the paninis are fantastic (the "Memphis" one is to die for), and of course, the coffee is great. Quality stuff all around! read more

Been coming to this place for over a decade and their menu has changed a bit but never disappoints. I'm simple on the coffee and always get a double espresso w/cold milk. Espresso here is better than starbucks hands down, but that is what you come to expect from a niche coffee shop that sources its tea and coffee carefully from top end vendors. Average cafe with ok seat in situation. They have wifi which is nice if you're working, but it can get crowded.

I'm almost a regular here. Bagel and lox are excellent and so are their breakfast sandwiches. My favorite is the Cowboy. Their coffee is also pretty good- they use Square One Coffee and when I feel the urge to splurge I buy my beans here. Espresso drinks and chai drinks are also good. Can get a bit crowded on weekends, but that means it's good. read more

LOVE the crepes here. Although I think the sweet ones are much better than the savory. But that's based on getting the one with vegetables and cheese, which was good but not as good as the dessert crepes. Good coffee too. This thing is amazing lots of flavor!! i don't really like the cantelope garnish much so I usually ask for the salad on the side instead. The food at Cafenation is incredible! While I have trouble getting myself to order anything but the Nutella and Banana Crepe, I also really enjoy the breakfast sandwiches and the Apple and Brie Crepe. Seating is a bit tight in the restaurant, but something has always opened up while we wait to order. Finally, I have found that it improves the brunch if I order an Americano rather than a regular cup of coffee - the regular coffee is a bit weak for my taste, but the Americano tastes full and fresh. read more

Cafénation is a great spot. I'm an iced coffee fan, and theirs is fantastic- not watered down at all, and it tastes great. As far as food goes, I've tried the Waldorf Salad, which was a fresh and filling lunch. I also tried the Otom sandwich, which was a wonderful hangover cure. The atmosphere is great- they remove the windows during the warm weather, making the cafe open. They also offer free cold water from a large jug in cute little mason jars. If you're in a rush to grab a coffee in the morning, it may not be the place to go, since you can be held up by people placing orders for food from the kitchen. It would be great if their large iced coffee were a bit larger :) read more

Delish! Just make sure to put a bag/jacket down to reserve yourself a seat before it randomly gets crowded. Especially on the weekend. Crepes here are awesome and you have the option to make sure own from a list of ingredients. Breakfast sandwiches are also great and they have a pretty decent tea selection to pick from. read more

This is one of my "go to" places for a great weekend breakfast. Their coffee is always great and I love the fact that they offer one free refill. It seems like they have a pretty regular staff, which always seems like a sign of a an owner that cares about their employees. And the staff is fantastic. Quick and pleasant every time. The sausage/egg/cheese sandwich is to die for. I wish it was Sunday so I could go over for my weekend fix. This is one of my favorite places in the city, nay, the world! Though I no longer drink coffee, their dark roast is delicious and rich with lots of flavor. Their green tea is delightful, hot or cold, and provides a reason for me to get out of bed in the morning. Their food is always delicious (the lox omelet available on the weekends is absolutely amazing) and the staff is always sweet and very friendly to me. They even held onto my work ID for a week when I (in my usual clever fashion) lost it in the cafe. read more
