Definitely passes the atmospheric vibes check! So lovely to sit on the water front! The indoors area was also pleasant and cozy. It is very much the type of environment that calls for a sit down-even if a brief one. I noticed most folk sat in with their coffees/food/pastries. The service was friendly but sadly the espresso and steamed milk machines were broken during my visit meaning many coffee items were unavailable. Major bummer as I am an iced latte lover so I settled for a cold brew which was decent. I definitely would have preferred a latte so hopefully next time I'm in Sanford, all systems are go. I also ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich and requested the turkey option instead of regular bacon. I would have assumed the "turkey" option meant turkey bacon. To my surprise it was actually deli sliced turkey. While it wasn't overall unpleasant, I would have preferred turkey bacon given it is a breakfast sandwich. Would have given it that crispy element. But as stated, it was nice and a good size for the price tag. I didn't have room for any pasty, cake or pie but looking forward to trying next time as they all looked really yummy on the display case! Went here to hang out for a coffee with my friend. You can't beat the location as it's right near the water and it's fun to look out and see the beautiful lake front. I think the prices are comparable to Starbucks and foxtail but we like going to these local shops to try something different and I am glad we stopped in . The music played was great too- all right up my alley. Dave Matthews band, the Beatles , maroon 5, goo goo dolls , loved chilling here. The one thing I would suggest is just putting in more plugs. I came to Caffe Di Riverwalk for the first time and it was the cutest coffee shop in a great location next to the lake! They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the lake which is perfect. It's also in a very walkable location. I got an iced coffee but was a little disappointed that their oat milk wasn't certified gluten free (can't remember what the brand was). The coffee was good though and I definitely recommend trying this place out! They had several food options and the staff were helpful and friendly! read more

Rising Prices, Falling Hospitality I really wanted to keep supporting this place, but the owner makes it increasingly difficult. Multiple visits have left me feeling more like an inconvenience than a customer. Their tone is curt, and there's a general vibe that you're not actually welcome unless you're part of her inner circle. What makes it worse is that prices have gone up significantly over the past few months. Paying more would be easier to swallow if the experience improved--but instead, you're left paying premium prices while being treated like you should be grateful just to be there. Coffee shops are supposed to be warm, communal spaces. This one used to feel that way. Now it feels tense, uncomfortable, and honestly not worth the cost or the attitude. Yummy first visit to Caffe di Riverwalk, particularly given how much I enjoyed my Steamboat sandwich (roast turkey on grain bread with peppers, red onion, cheese, and mayo)! This charming caffe - autumnal Vermont vibes - sits just across from the Sanford Riverwalk. I can think of no better idea than purchasing a few sandwiches and beverages (tea, juice, soda, and water), maybe a sweet treat (cookies or maybe banana bread) and enjoying watching the Bonnie Belle drift by on Lake Monroe. They do not have chips but they do serve coffee here. My caffeine preference is elsewhere but my sandwich was scrumptious and I have every intention of returning to try another and soon. I've come here a dozen times over several months. Each time I've ordered the same coffee, and each time it has tasted *exactly* the same. That's very hard to find, and I think it says a lot about the place. (1) You don't get consistent coffee without consistent technique. They know what they're doing. (2) You don't get consistent coffee unless you make the effort. They care about their product. And they put all that care and technique to good use, because the coffee is great! After my dentist appt in Sanford I came to this shop for a coffee. It wasn't my first time here. I always hit it after my dentist appt and then walk along Lake Monroe. They are also very honest about the wait... and that's why I can't give it 5 stars. Service is quite slow and if you were thinking you would pop in to grab a quick coffee please think again. While I chose to wait (about 15 min?) for my drink I know many who can't and saw a few come in... were told the wait and then they promptly left. I realize you can't help that but maybe they need to hire some more staff to make drinks? I recently visited Caffe Di Riverwalk and had a mixed experience. The atmosphere was lovely--great for hanging out or getting some work done which I did. However, I found the prices a bit steep for what you get. I paid $20 for a breakfast burrito and an almond milk latte. I got charged for a large but I was never asked which size I actually wanted. The coffee left something to be desired; it tasted a bit burnt, more like decaf than the rich brew I was hoping for. I also tried the big breakfast burrito with salsa on the side. While it was filling and had nice crispy bacon, the flavors were pretty bland and didn't quite hit the mark. Additionally, I wished they had more baked goods. Everyone working there was very nice and they were good about keeping the place clean. Like all other reviews, the views of the river are very nice! Overall, the vibe is nice if that's what you're looking for but as for my coffee fix, I'll be looking elsewhere. read more

I have been to this nice little coffee shop a few times, and visited again this weekend while I was on a walk with my family. Stopped in for an iced coffee for myself and something for my kids to share. The staff welcomed me and my sons immediately and the guy who took my order was very friendly. I tried the iced coffee with the Irish Cream syrup in it. It tasted good, but I think I should have asked for an extra shot in it as the coffee wasn't very strong. Truly the cutest little coffee shop you could ask for. It is right on the river in Sanford, so you can sit outside and have the outdoor ambiance of being on the water. The place is packed floor to ceiling with coffee beans from all over the world, which thoroughly impressed me. It didn't give off a cluttered feel but made it feel genuinely quaint. They have a ridiculous amount of tea options as well which was wonderful to see. I love frequenting this place whenever I want the Mexican hot chocolate coffee and a quick bite to eat for breakfast or brunch in Sanford. It has a suitable view of the water, so if it's not too hot and humid outside its ideal to enjoy the breeze on the patio. Everyone is so nice here and the service is prompt and warm. I only wish they had extended hours! So far, besides the Mexican mocha, I've also tried their breakfast sandwiches, their quiche and their coffee cake. All good. I like this small little treasure in the corner at the riverwalk. The beverages are finely made with fresh ingredients. I enjoy having the open space for customers to view the whole process as your order is being made. Along the walls there are coffee bags hung tastefully for decoration. We stopped here on a Monday morning at 11:00 am and were told there was a 20 minute wait for food and a 30 minute wait for drinks!! This is a small cafe but has a very extensive menu. If they can't serve their customers in a timely manner maybe they shouldn't offer so much variety!! Stopped in on the way back from the farmers market for lunch with my friend. The best unknown lunch stop we've made in a long time. I got the quiche which has the perfect flaky crust and a decadent filling with mushrooms and spinach. My friend had the egg salad on a croissant which is the only place I will now get egg salad at a restaurant. The handmade cappuccino was perfection and we got a piece of limoncello cake and a piece of apple pie for later which were bother absolutely delicious!
