Came to our favorite Mexican Food spot. Started with the delicious Queso Fundido. That chorizo is soooo flavorful. Just the right amount of spice! The chips and salsa were especially good tonight. The chips were freshly fried. Hot and crispy. The salsa was a little thicker than usual tonight, but the flavor was on POINT. I got alla carte Street Tacos tonight. One steak and one Al Pastor. While there are many Mexican restaurants in the Apopka area, this one is relatively new. It used to be a really great barbecue place, and while I was sad to see it close, I was excited to see a new Mexican place, especially since it is so close to my home. My wife actually went before I did, and she said it was okay. So one night, we decided to go and try it out together. We walked in and were quickly greeted by the hostess. I looked around and had a hard time recognizing the layout as they had really made it different than the barbecue place before it. The decor is beautiful, and I felt as if I was in a Mexican Cantina in Mexico City! She asked if we wanted a booth or a table, and we chose a booth. While it wasn't packed, it was fairly busy, which was a great sign. We sat and were given menus, which were quickly followed by Chips & Salsa. She asked what we wanted to drink, and I ordered a Michelada. The Chips and Salsa were good, not the best I have ever had, but tasty. We ordered queso dip and a main course, and my Michelada arrived- the best I have ever had in Apopka, and rivaled any that I have had anywhere- great start! The queso was good, typical. I had steak tacos, and my wife had a burrito. We also had a side of tamales. Everything was fresh and tasty, and we were both very impressed! Cielito Lindo Mexican Grill is a good family friendly restaurant with wonderful service and delicious food. The ambiance in the main dining area is welcoming with very comfortable large booths for guests to enjoy their meal. We started off with a mild salsa and a hot salsa with warm chips. We added the Dip Trio with queso , guacamole, and tropical pineapple pico de gallo. Our server brought two other spicy dips to our table to sample. We ordered the chimichanga with shredded chicken,beans , sour cream, and lettuce with tomatoes. This dish is so simple but excellent. I have been meaning to try this place for a while and I'm glad I finally did. It is pretty spacious on the inside and they had outdoor seating as well. They have specials throughout the week, and I was able to take advantage of the $2.75 special on the street tacos. We came on a Tuesday evening and it was not crowded at all. Our waitress was very polite and attentive to our needs, and the food was excellent! I will definitely be coming back in the near future. read more

I ordered the smothered fries and taquitos, and both dishes were prepared perfectly. The fries were crisp and golden, and the taquito sauce was packed with flavor. Really enjoyed our dinner here. We drive past the restaurant every week on our way to The Villages and we've been going to the local Mexican restaurants trying to find our "go to" restaurant. So after going to Fridas a few weeks ago and Garibaldis this was next on the list. We were greeted by the very nice Gentleman, Michael. He was very cordial and went out of his way to help us. We got there at the senior citizen time of 4:30, or the normal time of happy hour. We needed a Margarita fix. What we were looking for was a beautiful night out sitting outside and Cielito met the mark. Tonight we didn't bring our fur babies but we were happy to learn that they are welcome any other time. The food was very good. A huge portion of fajitas and reasonably priced Wifey had the ceviche and really liked it. Will return And did I mention that Michael is a part owner of the restaurant. This restaurant has a great ambiance and a lot of potential to get 5-stars. The prices are adequate but the cook needs to improve. We have been there twice. Twice the food was salty and the vegetables were not fresh. The waiters are great! This is a family run business and I wish them lots of success. read more

I saw this restaurant while I was around the area and I mentioned to my friend and she decided to have us drop by for her birthday dinner. The restaurant is open, with beautiful decor and plenty of inside and outside seating. The staff from the hostess to our server is nice, friendly, attentive and happy to answer any questions and give suggestions. We ordered the queso dip, the white enchiladas, mahi tacos and a strawberry daiquiri. Their chips and salsa are so fresh and tasty! I have enjoyed at least 12 meals here. I figured I should leave a review. AARP had a luncheon for their Ethel Gathering Grouo- a women's group. We had a luncheon for a friends 50th birthday. At Christmas, we had some Mary Kay girls for a Christmas party. Natasha is a great server. We have also had brothers George and Michael as servers. We love the desserts!! We went to this location when they first opened a few years ago and were not impressed. Thankfully we tried them again last year and have gone a few more times since. And They only get better each time! Service is always quick and friendly. Ambiance is calm and not overly loud like some places can be. The food is truly just amazing! The taco special and the grilled chicken street tacos are my go to order but I haven't had a bad thing here! Also Georgie makes a mean Mojito!! The wings were overcooked but the mango sauce was delicious. The chile relleno, taco and rice was a good amount of food for a lunch entree. The taco was not my favorite and needed more toppings. The chile relleno was beef and quite tasty. The salsa was really good, there was a nice ratio of onions, tomatoes and cilantro. Service was excellent. Very tasty food, and came out super quick! Portion sizes were good and not too much food, just the right amount. Prices were great! Chips and salsa are complimentary and though we normally prefer chunky salsa, this was the exception and was very good! The staff was very friendly and attentive as well. Restaurant is very clean and colorful. Overall, a great option for Mexican food in the area, and they are talking about making a Taco Tuesday taco cart with $2 tacos soon, which we'll definitely try! Really good food ! fantastic service! It's in the old Bubba Lou's. Everything was homemade. All of the weight staff was super nice and helped each other. Plenty of room for handicap accessible and even a separate room for a party or events with a bar. I'm attaching the menus in the photos as well as my shrimp my husband ate is tacos to quickly, so no pictures, but they were loaded stacked and packed ! We both agreed we would go back. Really liked the homemade aspect of the rice and refried beans. They were not canned I rarely eat refried beans and I ate the whole thing. We love Cielito Lindo since they opened. It's our neighborhood go-to place for dinner. Service is friendly, food is great --big portions and taste good, I usually come home with leftovers and the patio is great to chill with beer or margaritas. What I ate: Veggie fajitas-- it comes with tortilla, rice, beans. Hubby had the camarones al ajillo. Why I love it: the patio is perfect especially in the evening when the sun goes down but the inside is cool too. I got cheese enchiladas and my husband got tacos. Then we ended with churros. The best part of the meal was the churros. They were perfect. The service was also great. But the enchiladas were not great but I was starving and their salsa was sooo liquidy, zero chunks and hard to use when it's like water. I felt like they used a fake type of cheese or something I'm not sure what it was but the taste wasn't there. Something about the ingredients was off. read more

This place was a strong recommendation from a friend...we're always looking for that perfect Mexican restaurant. Excited when we entered to see the two-for-one happy hour sign prominently displayed out front. Unfortunately they're not exactly clear when happy hour actually is (on the sign or on the menu). No happy hour for us. We were one of maybe three customers on the Saturday afternoon so we were kind of surprised that they wanted to put us in the booth next to the soda fountain and kitchen..."could we possibly sit at another table please." They obliged...and then sat the next customer at that table. I'm not a restaurant pro but what is the thinking behind that? The chips were nice, the salsa a little bland and watery. Never were offered a refill. The menu was what you might expect. Our meals were brough out promptly. They were ok, nothing standout. For once we had no take home, that might say something about the quantity. The receipt gave us that surprise that we got on our last visit to NY, a 3% surcharge for credit cards. I suggest they take down the happy hour sign out front and appropriately set expectations with a sign about the credit card policy. We paid cash (as we always do) and wish this place the best....hopefully they'll learn and grow. read more

Excited to have a new restaurant in Apopka. My review is based on my experience at their grand opening. They did a nice job converting the once BBQ vibe into one with a fresh Mexican flair. Our food came out fast and fresh. Our server, George, was in a great mood, which put my family in a great mood, and George was very helpful. My family enjoyed the food and will definitely be back. If there was one thing I would like to see improved is their salsa. Their chips were light and crispy. Their salsa, however, was very bland and tasted more like stewed tomatoes than flavorful fresh salsa. I ended up stealing my husband's red sauce from his Birria tacos - amazing. It had a nice kick and was full of flavor. I might ask for a bowl of that to go with my chips next time. Prices are a bit high, but we are living in expensive times. When an average order for two at McDonalds costs around $20, you have to expect a site down to cost more than we are used to. I hope this place continues to improve and succeed. read more

So first impression was ... it's ok... The decor is bold but feels unfinished. We arrived and were given a 40 minute wait estimate, but it was probably only 30, so that was good. It's warm inside, it doesn't feel like the AC is on, but they have a lot of fans running and it wasn't unpleasant, it has just rained and it's getting dark tho, it may be much warmer during the day if AC is always set on this temp. They bring you chips and salsa, as most Mexican restaurants do, Salsa isn't bad, very mild, a little too mild for me but the kids liked it. chips were good, tasted fresh and not oily. We got the top shelf guac made table side... It was two avocados, salt, cilantro, red onion, tomato and lime. Not bad but nothing to write home about. We ordered the queso dip but it never came and we didn't remind out server because we were pretty full after the chips salsa and guac. The horchata felt weak, but it wasn't bad tasting.. just kinda watered down. The drinks we got from the bar were good, the white sangria was delicious and it was a good sized drink, the mango mojito was also very good. Our server was very sweet, she didn't say her name but she told us this was her 3rd day as a waitress, ever. so taking that into account here. She was absolutely trying and over all did a very good job for being so new. Food came in a reasonable time for a Friday night dinner. Chicken quesadillas - pretty good, my kiddo ate everything. Great portion size. Mahi tacos - my other kiddo liked them, good portion size, it was pretty spicy for him. Shrimp and rice with cheese sauce - smallish portion size, but he said it was good. Pina maya (chicken and peppers in a pineapple) - served with rice on the side. it was good.... The pineapple felt pointless as it was just half a pineapple as a vessel for the veggies and chicken it didn't have any pineapple IN it... it wasn't bad tho, I enjoyed it. Portion size was ok for me but to anyone that takes issue with small portions they may not be thrilled for $20. We ordered one slice of the tres leches cake, it looked beautiful, but was very cold/solid potentially had come frozen and not been fully thawed? But otherwise it it tasted very good. And It was a good size for sharing between two. Check came quickly and our server seemed genuinely interested in making our dinner nice, which always appreciated. The bill was $135... Honestly...
