Listen I need a part time gig here so I can eat here daily ! lol I've been coming to Rocco's since they opened and I am such a huge fan. I've hosted birthday dinners, engagement celebration and attended tons of cinco de mayo parties here and it's always a great experience. I came here with a client who had never been and they are now hooked as well as they just purchased a home near by in Bayhill. They have brunch on the weekends , DJ's and it's so much fun for dinner. The tacos were packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The fried chicken tacos were crispy, juicy, and complemented perfectly by the roasted street corn, pickled onions, and fresh cilantro. The shredded chicken tacos were equally delicious, loaded with fresh toppings and generous portions. The black beans and yellow rice were flavorful and tasted homemade, making them much more than just a side dish. Everything looked as good as it tasted, and you can tell they take pride in the quality and presentation of their food. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. If I had one small suggestion, it would be that the chips could have been served a little warmer, but that's a minor detail in an otherwise fantastic meal. Wow, Rocco's kicks butt!! A group of 25 of us came here to celebrate our friend's 60th Birthday for dinner on Sunday and had an absolute blast. The restaurant is huge, they have a large main dining area, then two more dining areas hidden away from the main dining room. There is a gorgeous bar to the right when you walk in then another large bar in the back of the restaurant which wraps around to the back patio with more seating all overlooking a lake, it's quite beautiful and would be great for a date night with the wife for another time. The men's room was clean and there were several stall's available which is great at a Mexican restaurant. My one complaint is that the seats are near ready to fall off, maintenance needs to get on this before someone falls off the toilet. We had a reservation and were seated promptly for our reservation. We had two servers keeping tabs on our large group and they were efficient and friendly; they did an overall exceptional job. We ordered several chips and salsa platters to be shared amongst the group. There were three varieties of salsa, one hot, one was a fresh tomato salsa, and the other was a salsa Verde. I liked the chips but not the seasoning that was put on them. It's almost like they put a chili or chipotle powder on the chips then toasted them; it was ok just not my favorite. We also ordered the Guacamole, which a staff member prepared for us, to our liking, this was delicious. For our main entrée, Nancy and I ordered the Molcajete Carne to share ($44.20). It arrived near boiling hot. I have to say this was probably the best Molcajete I have every had. There were so many delicious flavors. It was more like an awesome Mexican stew. The Chicken, Beef and Chorizo were all cooked together in a heavy Mole style broth. It was super rich, hearty, thick, and flavorful. It had just the right amount of spiciness and flavor for days. This has to be one of the most memorable and best dishes I have eaten at a restaurant in a while. This is my type of cooking, Home-style wins with me every time and Rocco's chefs really knocked this one out of the park, excellent job! We will definitely be back for another Molcajete Carne soon. My first time here and our experience was great. We challenged them with bringing 25 people on a reservation. And they did a fabulous job accommodating us. All the food was delicious lots of flavor. My husband said it was the best meal he's had in a restaurant in a long time. We got the big bowl with all the meats and onions and peppers in it I forget what it's called but it was fabulous. I spoke to the others in the group and they also said their food was good. The chips however were a little strange they had some seasoning on them but the sauces that they came with were good you got three different types. You have to pay for chips and salsa it is around $9. They do have happy hour starting at 4:00 p.m. but that is not only at the bar so if you wanted a $5 drink He had to get up and get it from the bar. It was my girlfriend's birthday so they did bring her a birthday pie which was key lime with a candle in it. I thought that was very nice. The server told me this restaurant is very very busy on the weekends Friday and Saturday it is packed. Thank goodness we came on a Sunday we were able to get in and get seated pretty quickly. This is a big beautiful restaurant that sits on a lake great views from the back. We definitely will be back. Loved it here.! read more

This spot was just ok for me. While not busy on July 4th, we felt rushed to order; this was our first time. I ordered the hamburger tacos. They were good. The meat was a thin pattie which I liked vs crumbles falling out. I missed that my margarita came with salt which I totally hated. I wish the server would ask with or without. Excellent place to go. The menu is massive, but not so massive you won't be able to make a choice. Just enough to have options. Service wise you will be happy. We ordered two different tacos and within five minutes they were being served. It was amazing. The table side guac is good but the medium is not spicy if you like spice. Drink wise, they make great margaritas. We tried several but they all were good. Price wise, you are going to pay but it is definitely worth it. Sit outside. Rocco's Tacos celebrates the dead by waking them up, and Gomez Addams would feel right at home. This is a Day of the Dead party overlooking a man-made lagoon, where neon glows hot against the darker establishments around it and tiki torches wave you in toward an adventurous evening. Inside: spectacular lighting, creative fixtures, carved wooden masks, three bars (indoor, outdoor, and one that splits the difference). The seating is plentiful and so is the wall of sound. If you're hard of hearing or hoping for a long, quiet conversation, this is not your jam. If you're ready to lean into your party and raise your voice, you'll do just fine. The pumice guacamole bowls at every table all but order the tableside guac for you (we devoured what felt like two cups). House-made tortilla chips arrive with a house spice they politely refused to reveal. The tacos are the namesake and they deliver: my new honey-hot chicken strip tacos, topped with street corn, rival the best at Popeyes or Shake Shack, and Lesley's pork belly held its own. Three is a full meal; they don't skimp on filling. Keto fans can have any taco served in lettuce leaf, and I had two that way. Service was responsive if straightforward (not chipper, but these folks earn a break in a room this busy). 4.4 stars out of 5 It's hard to fault a restaurant for being loud when the noise is the point. A touch more warmth from the floor, and these craft tacos earn the half-star back. Want to nudge that score higher? This afternoon, my mom and I decided to get lunch at a place near Hollywood Studios. We decided to get lunch at Rocco's tacos tequila bar. This restaurant is located in the doctor Phillips area near the same strip that does the Publix as well as the 60 vines. , I got the watermelon margarita however, with the tequila in the margarita, I asked if I could get spicy tequila so I could do a spicy watermelon margarita. My margarita was $14. We also got the chips and salsa trio which was eat and my mom got a Coke Zero. Was great our server was really nice. She has yet to come over to the table, but she had a couple tables this afternoon. The food is really good here. I normally get the fajita for 36 with the steak on top of the heating pad with the onions and tomatoes . However, we just wanted a quick snack this afternoon and we did the chips and salsa. If you haven't been here, I definitely recommend it. I also recommend going maybe right when they start doing lunch or maybe around two or 3 o'clock normally after four they get really busy. read more

Our food was good, and overall a 4* in terms of food. Our Mexican Cobb salad and our 2 tacos and rice and beans were very tasty. The portions were a little small though and it was pretty expensive for the amount of food you get. It was also pretty loud in the restaurant and the parking situation is a little tough to find spots since so many are reserved for valet. It has a neat decor and vibe on the interior though. Overall, food was a 4* and everything else was around a 3*, so we went with 3* overall, but this is definitely a high 3* or low 4* experience overall. read more

Unfortunately this missed the mark for me. I ordered the piñta mocktail was supposed to be Tiki Tonic Syrup, Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice, Pineapple Juice, Mint. It tasted like only pineapple juice and had a lot of ice. The quesadillas were soggy, they would flop open when going to take a bite. No flavor just bunch of spice. The chicken taco was decent but also not much flavor. It was pretty busy, and loud. I wouldn't returned, there's better Mexican places. read more

It was a beautiful day, so we sat on the patio and enjoyed the gorgeous view of the water. The inside seats were also gorgeous to see the water and enjoy the ambience. We started with some guacamole and strawberry basil. Margarita, which was delicious. They do not bring you salsa unless you order it so I cannot comment on the salsa. My cousin and I ordered the fish tacos and Birria tacos and split them, they were both delicious. Definitely will go back here when we visit again. Overpriced for the quality. Gave it a try based on yelp ratings and being in the neighborhood. The host seated us quickly and our waiter came right over to take our orders. I went with a "roseberry "mocktail and ordered a shrimp burrito bowl as my entree. The drink was ok. The rosemary taste in it was a bit strong but it got better after I took the rosemary out. My burrito bowl was "eh". Not very tasty, yet very spicy. There seems to be a trend of making everything spicy to hide the lack of flavor behind the food. The plate was just pretty boring and didn't do anything. The elote corn on the other hand was pretty good and our waitress (Riley?) was kind and helpful. For the price, there are a lot of better Mexican spots that would even include more in their service for your money. Something as small as some chips and salsa on the table goes a long way. Met a group of friends in time for happy hour on a Saturday. Opted to self-park rather than use the complimentary valet. With 3 bar tops to choose from, there's no problem ordering off the happy hour menu, which is only available at the bar. The bartender was bubbly as she happily served us. Her smile and energy were very welcoming. The place gets pretty busy. We had a reservation, and eventually went to our table after having apps and drinks at the bar. There's stimulating decor, with the unique, artsy light fixtures truly making a statement. As for the food, the tableside guacamole is a must. The freshness and superior taste makes you want more and more. The chips are nicely seasoned and sturdy for dipping. Our flautas were also delicious. My pork belly tacos were decent, but I'd probably go with something else next time. We had a nice experience. The margarita pitchers we ordered for the table took quite a while to arrive, but they were good. After several previous visits to Rocco's Tacos with consistently positive experiences, we left tonight feeling a bit underwhelmed. Our server, Kennedy, appeared to be relatively new, but after taking our order and bringing our waters, it felt as though our table of two was forgotten from there on out. Within about ten minutes of ordering, our appetizer was prepared and our entrées quickly arrived, but we still had not received our alcoholic beverages, refills on our waters, nor even utensils to eat the food we were served. We would have understood if she had simply been overwhelmed with other tables, but throughout our meal we watched her regularly attend to two neighboring tables, preparing tableside guacamole for both, without once checking on us as she passed by. Eventually, we noticed our drinks sitting at the bar pickup area while we were already eating our meals without utensils or beverages. At that point, we had to ask another staff member for assistance, who helped bring over nearly everything we were still waiting on. The food itself was excellent, and we continue to enjoy the lively atmosphere that has brought us back in the past. However, after spending nearly $100 on dinner and leaving a 20% gratuity, it was disappointing that the only time we felt prioritized was when Kennedy delivered our check promptly. In fact, she began to clear our table while we were still sitting there, finishing our drinks that had arrived so late. We hope for a better experience in the future. read more

It was really really busy so the service was definitely slow and missed things like drink refills but she was super nice. I ordered the coconut water and a selection of tacos, camarones and carne asada with refried beans and rice. My food was great! Everything was cooked properly and seasoned well! The tableside fresh guacamole we ordered for the table was delicious as well. I heard mixed reviews about the food from the other guests at my table. They said the mojitos and margaritas were great! Our party of 4 arrived at around 8 on a Wednesday evening and we were told there was about a 30 minute wait for a table, though a few booths and tables appeared to be open. Service was very slow and spotty, and our drink orders took a very long time to be served (it was a simple order of 1 cocktail and 3 Coronas). The food was good, but this place charges more than it deserves to for both food and drink, especially considering one can get similar dishes in a truly authentic Mexican restaurant a few miles from here for less - and at the end of the day, Rocco's is located in a strip mall. Had service been better and our food and drink come in an acceptable time after ordering, those things alone would've earned this place another star. read more

The food here was fantastic. The guacamole was made at the table so they could make it to your spice level. The queso fundido was melty and delicious but it had huge strips of inedible onion, which was odd. The drinks were my favorite party. The black diamond was a cherry margarita, it was the best thing I had. I do think it is overpriced, and they were only doing happy if you were physically at the bar so that was kind of false advertising. I ate the burrito bowl - it had so much food it easily made 2 meals. read more
