My wife and I stopped by one afternoon for drinks and muffins. Unfortunately, lots of flies. I'm not sure they can do anything about the flies, but maybe some fly paper or traps might help. The muffins were very crumbly and not that great. The Cafe Mocha I had was very bland. These are nice people and the prepared food may be good; I cannot say. Great place to stop in and have a bite at the end of the arts district. The green chili burger was awesome!!!!! Green chili stew was very tasty. Great atmosphere out on the patio and the inside is quaint. There was a lady singing starting at 1pm on Saturday who sings in 5 different languages. I highly recommend this spot. read more

My wife and I dropped in here after several hours looking at galleries. Someone seated us but no one stopped with menus until we flagged one down. When the waitress finally took our order she seemed confused. We ordered some chips, salsa, and guacamole. She brought it out and we ate a couple chips at which point she rushed up and said it was meant for a different table. We told her we already ate some of everything, but she grabbed it rushed into the kitchen and the right out with the same plate and gave it to another table. Disgusting. As for the food, the salsa was all tomato -- no flavor. The guacamole was just avocado. The sandwich we ordered came with what could only be described as store bought crinkle cut fries. The second time I've visited this restaurant, a big relief from overhyped and overpriced fare just at the start of Canyon Rd (you can park across the street). Order at the counter where there are daily specials, from friendly and interesting staff. We got soups both times, one recipe had been in the family for generations. Both soups were generously portioned and very tasty. Inside are a variety of cheerful and interesting rooms with southwest decor. The owner paid personal attention to my satisfaction. read more

Do not waste your time or money here. I came here with my husband and a friend for the "authentic" New Mexican cuisine. A bit less than $60 (including tip) got us three small plain tacos (which came out incorrect the first time), a single anemic ground beef stuffed sopaipilla, a quarter cup of tasteless posole, a meager pile of shredded lettuce and tomato, and two lackluster drinks that I'm not convinced had any alcohol in them. On top of which, we waited 40 minutes to receive this stunning disappointment. I am furious and just as hungry as when I arrived. read more

Was lured in by live music which ended within minutes of us sitting down which was not the problem. Looked at the drinks menu, only 3ish on a Saturday afternoon, they were out of all mixed drinks but the margaritas. Again, no problem, we're in Santa Fe, they are known for the margarita trail.. I'll have the margarita. Ordered that, a beer and chips and salsa. Margarita tasted like it was waiting on the bar for a good while, VERY watered down. Chips were a bit stale and about 2 ounces of salsa in a small ramekin. ($7.95 so we're eating them!). We were going to order dinner but decided to find another place. It took about 15 minutes to flag down someone to pay so we could leave. Sorry, not a good experience. read more

What a terrible experience. Went for margaritas and chips and salsa. Margarita was agave wine which was not stated on the menu, no tequila ( who does that and doesn't note that on the menu?!. Just awful and barely drinkable we ordered chips and salsa and were charged 7.00 for guacamole that we did not order. The waitress proceeded to argue with us about this. Came here for a short break while gallery hopping and were very pleasantly surprised. We all had a drink (nice bottled beer collection) and shared a veggie burrito: very tasty, not greasy, filled with lots of veggies and grilled, too! Definitely recommended and a nice place to recharge before hitting more galleries - and, in comparison to the galleries, this will not ruin you financially! The setting is charming but the food was so bad. I presume that the ingredients they used are so cheap because the food was tasteless. I actually picked it apart into each component ingredient and every single one was tasteless except for the bacon which had the flavor of salt. The service was also pretty dreadful. The waiter lost my order so half of my morning was spent wondering about my food and the staff was invisible.. I heard the waitress tell a neighbor that a cafe Americano was expresso and hot milk. They are also chintzy There is one refill for your coffee. The setting is lovely. Go and get a cup of coffee but don't eat. read more

Look out they will rip you if you use your credit card. I put a couple drinks on my card and got my bill and they charged my card $358.00. My friend that was with us bought a few hors d'oeuvres and they charged his American Express over $450.00 so look out!! Totally disappointing experience! The chef is pleasant, but the food and service are subpar. It only attracts tourists because the locals know not to eat there. The adjoining shop called Jacqueline's Place is worse. It features tacky polyester clothing and inferior turquoise jewelry. The rude owner refuses to honor my $278.65 credit slip, even though she wrote it, and a copy is in her drawer. The credit was issued after the store reneged on a verbal agreement to let me take 2 rugs home on approval. Just as well... there is absolutely nothing at Jacqueline's Place for the discerning buyer. What a treasure! Chef Cindy prepares creative soups, sandwiches and local fare. The beef is grass-fed and the cafe also offers fresh baked goods daily. The barista creates great coffee drinks and here you can get the best breakfast burrito in town. I love this place and its charming Canyon Road atmosphere. read more

Over priced for average food. Had chicken quesadilla and turkey sandwich that I could have made much better at home and not cost $9 each. Restaurant been around for years, newly expanded and apparently getting a revamp on looks and some other things, prices apparently soon to rise if they didn't already. Owner was at table in front loudly talking about new changes and arguing about design aspects, new food products being unloaded there in the front dining room too, just all stuff that should have been done in another room or after hours. If I could this place a negative number I would. This is most disorganized place I've ever been. No one seems to know their role here. Had 3 waitresses come to our table but it took over 15 minutes to get our drinks ordered. Ordered food and that took over 35 minutes to get it. Very simple items to prepare. Our order was wrong. While we were waiting we saw customers come in and they were told it was at least a 10 minute wait which is really weird because at best this place was 1/3 full. Food was o.k. but nothing special. The owner came up prior to food showing up asking if we had ordered yet when the waitress was right behind her with 1/2 of our food, When I went to pay with gift certificates I purchased through "Sweet Deals" I was told that they weren't honoring them because they "expired" in July. The date on the certificates said 1/6/19. Never was given a clear explanation as to why they wouldn't. Owner came back over and offered my kids "free" ice cream for them not standing behind their agreement w/ sweet deals. Really ?!?! Then when I refused she said "I'd understand if you don't come back." No problem there. I will never go back. There are at least 15-20 places within 2 miles of this place that are better. Please go to one of them as their service,food and orginazation is so much better. Stay away from the Grecco Café. You will better off and much happier. Also see others reviews. I have a rule that I don't go to Mexican Restaurants that charge for chips and salsa, but I also know that when you are someplace like Santa Fe, sometimes you have to break the rules. However, I should have stuck with my rule. First off we were handed menus that had dried, crusty food bits stuck to them. Should have left, but were intrigued by nice patio and live jazz. We ordered iced tea, which was good. But even though I asked twice for a straw, (see above re:crusty bits stuck to menu, which made me reluctant about the cup), I never got a straw. Food came out in decent time and was ok. Not great, but good and portions are good as well. However, my husband's glass was allowed to run empty, and despite seeing at least 2 employees (older people, maybe the owners?) standing around and greeting people, neither seemed the least interested in refilling it. Clearly our server was not, as we never saw her again, until we had waited about 20 minutes AFTER finishing the meal, and she finally reappeared with a cheery "Ready for more tea?" Well. No. Not anymore. That was so 25-30 min ago. I requested the check...but she couldn't find it. After repeating what we had ordered, twice, she just rang it up again via iPad, then ran to the kitchen to keep them from making it again. It's not that the place was terrible, but nothing about the food or the service or the grubby menus makes us want to go back. Not even the patio and the live jazz. read more

The only thing right was the water. We order chile rellenos... There was some mild hard to cut green chile in an egg... Umm nope! It was mediocre and not even warm. It took awhile to come out too. There were beans on the side and they were cold... And just okay. We order the chocolate chunk sandwich... It was rock hard room temperate RAISIN cookies with ice cream in the middle with chocolate sauce on it. False advertisement. This was the first time Yelp has ever failed me. I have been in the restaurant & also have had the pleasure of enjoying this gorgeous food in a medical office where it was catered. Since then I have been graced with the friendship of Cindy the general manager of Greco. She is a kind, generous woman with a beautiful soul. I've recently seen a negative review about Greco & Cindy has more integrity, and kindness in her little pinky than the ugly, frustrated liitle man who so carelessly, & callously demeaned Grecos sevices only to serve his own "cyber bullying" self. Luckily this coward removed this hateful review within a few hours. Greco serves only the finest in fresh local ingredients, & every menu item I have tried has been a delghtful pleasure to my palate!
