We split the Los Cali Brekkie burrito which features sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese, French fries and a house made Sriracha aioli but we substituted the cilantro aioli. The filling of the burriot was super soft and mush but it worked. There was a guy out back frying up fresh donuts. There was a pet adoption event going on and although it was a hot day the shade sails and fans really kept the patio tolerable and pleasant.

Watching as the barista/matcharista made the matcha with such care, checking the temperature of the water, whisking, what appeared to be a lot of milk over ice, I was skeptical. The matcharista started teaching me the technique to whisk it properly, talking about the quality of the matcha and how I can attempt to make it at home. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I was very impressed with the quality of the matcha, it was incredibly earthy and slightly creamy... and that small squirt of strawberry was jut right, not too sweet but added a hint of flavor. Baristas are on point, too. If you don't know exactly what to get, let them guide you. They know their stuff. I've tried the Salted Latik, Cinnamon Turon, Ubeng Ube, and Matchang Matcha. The flavors were subtle, balanced, and thoughtfully executed. They also have all the milk substitutes. Important! Aside from the coffee, my wife and I picked up some of their merch. The fit on the crop tees is perfect and still solid after a few cycles in the wash. This is one of those rare brands you genuinely love to support because they stay true to their mission. Great coffee, rooted in heritage, and for the culture. 10/10 highly recommend.
