My friend said "this is the best coffee spot in Venice." This place brings almost a trendy mixology approach to coffee drinks. I think you could probably go there every day for a week and not repeat drinks. I ordered the Moonrise Kingdom and it was delicious. I don't think I ever had a drink with a toasted marshmallow in it before! I found the staff was very friendly and helpful. They definitely have an expertise of making the drinks just so. I would return if in the area!

I was thrilled when I learned Dayglow finally opened a location near the beach. It's one of very few coffee shops offering a variety of specialty drinks that keep the menu exciting and keep me retuning. I've tried the Military latte at the WeHo location and loved it, but my favorite right now is The Warhol - a smooth, upbeat espresso with citrus, vanilla and cinnamon, garnished with cinnamon dust and an orange peel. I hope this one stays on the menu for a while. The Moonrise Kingdom is a fun espresso made with maple, vanilla, and applewood smoked salt, topped with a torched marshmallow, not too sweet and perfect for a stroll along Rose. The shop is bright with an orange background you can't miss driving by. Another bonus is Dayglow stays open until 7PM, ideal for late evening coffee lovers like myself. Find parking along Rose and on side streets.

Dayglow is that hot new "baddie" at the gym everyone's suddenly talking about. I've been hunting for a new caffeine chamber in the area, and I'm so glad I finally walked into this one. My first order was their infamous Military Latte--a wild mix of espresso, matcha, bourbon vanilla, and a dusting of cocoa. Honestly? It's one of the boldest and prettiest caffeine cocktails I've ever had. The best way I can describe it: like going on a date with a feminine, purple-haired exotic dancer rocking military boots and a jock strap--unexpected, unforgettable, and ridiculously hot. The taste? Bold. Unique. Addictive. Such a turn on. I can't wait to try everything else. On my knees.

Coming here as my matcha-fan friend has been bragging about Dayglow's drinks being awesome. Despite I really loved Larchmont and have been knowing they have an outlet there, it's quite a drive away so highly excited knowing they now expanded their footprint into Venice! Rose was one of my favorite spots in town, where all the nice cafes and restos sitting at the same array and the neighborhood was just pleasing to walk around. Occupying a corner space made Dayglow a great place to just sit and spend time people-watching. The venue's setup even seemed to enable it with semi-open space and plenty of window seating. Their drink menus were 'adventurous' to go through, not only that the mind behind it was creative in naming, but also it featured fun mixes of ingredients, giving the feeling that each drink was just standout and uncommon. All baristas were super friendly and fun, convincing me straight away that my initial visit would certainly be not the only one, even before I sipped my drink. With richer menu sometimes got tricky and caused more dilemma than helping you being decisive, the knowledgeable baristas certainly turned helpful there as they would ask for your preference and gave you recommended options. Being torn between trying their coffee or their matcha since both seemed highly-recommended, I scored two wins by going for their Military Latte, which was basically their version of Dirty Matcha or Matcha with Espresso shot. First sip and LOVESTRUCK! Strong coffee and quality matcha made the power couple there, sweetened by their bourbon vanilla syrup. They should forgive me for just giving a chance and paying a visit, after so long being kinda skeptical that it's just 'selling aesthetic gorgeous' space. Price wise it might sit at the higher end, but I would say doubtlessly worthy.

Parking: Plenty of street parking, we personally parked in a parking structure through an app. I didn't know this was a chain until I yelped it to do this review. I ordered the Totoro and it was delicious. I'm not really big into coffee, but I can say that this was my favorite from everything that I've had. Took a sip of the einspanner and Alyssa lynch and I enjoyed the matcha a lot. It's not the best matcha ever but it was good enough to not assault me. I don't like matcha. The real star was the Totoro. I don't think I've ever had a coffee that tasted that good. The sesame and cream balanced the drink out perfectly and the presentation was perfect. I loved this drink. Location is an open space that has great wind and air flow. Natural cooling and great view in a nice area. Space is well balanced and seating is minimal but plenty for the size. Service is as expected, nothing bad and nothing over the top.

Alright, I've been here 5 times in 24 hours so I feel qualified to leave a review of this spot so far. I love coffee - especially coffee cocktails and pour overs - and I'm happy to say that Dayglow delivers on both fronts. Huge variety of beans from various roasters and regions, creatively mixed drinks and an obvious attention to detail make this place the best new option for coffee lovers in the neighborhood. Admittedly, my first visit at 8AM opening day was a little slow, but I don't think they were expecting the immediate crowd. Every visit since has been smooth, fast and delicious. Excited this spot is here. RIP my coffee budget.

The last few times I've been there they have been out of multiple drinks/ingredients, which you don't find out until you wait in the slow line. Also recently, something was off with three out of three drinks ordered. Ended up trashing them which I have never done before (anywhere). I think I'm over this spot. Was cool when it was new.

While looking for St Maxime, accidentally landed at the opening day today of Dayglow in Venice. It was busy and chaotic, with equipment malfunctioning that stopped all hot coffee, pour over coffee running out, things not working. None of that mattered as the staff kept their cool, and kept chugging along. Johnny made me a delicious anaerobic pour over, dayglows own F10. It took 20 minutes but was worth it. The kid wanted hot chocolate but they weren't setup for that yet. So she ended up getting a flaky fresh chocolate croissant with enough chocolate to make a 3 year old happy. Lots of dogs. The location has a lot to natural sunlight and plenty of spots to enjoy a cup of coffee. It's surprisingly kid friendly, despite not having kid drinks yet. The decor is minimal. The coffee is highly curated and represents the best of the best: from Fritz in South Korea to Swerl from Sweden. Considering there are so few super high quality artisanal coffee places in the west side, dayglow venice saves you the trouble of going to north east LA for world class coffee. This is in the same league as the always excellent Kumquat, ondo, endorfeinne. We will be back to try other pour overs. Tip: Plenty of street parking on Rose. Tip: Once Awan opens up next door, try some excellent ice cream and coffee together

Thrilled to try Dayglow after many recommendations and it did not disappoint! I tried the Totoro which was so good, black sesame, activated charcoal and coconut foam on top. A bit pricey at $8 for a small but thoughtfully made, and unique, can't wait to come back and try the other drinks. Also free street parking was easy in the neighborhood and they have wifi and many seats! Thank you Dayglow for a perfect drink and fresh air to help me have a productive working session.

I don't live in the area but I enjoyed Dayglow so much I came twice in the matter of a few days. Although they have standard espresso-based drinks on the menu, their specialty drinks menu is extensive, and features drinks like the matcha einspanner, and the military latte (a mixture of 1 shot of espresso, cacao, and matcha). The first time we came was around 9 am on a Saturday morning, the place was busy with a short line and people enjoying their coffees inside. It took a little while to get through the line as the baristas were engaging with each customer and telling them about the menu. The first time I came, I had the military latte which was honestly a bit too strong. I was doubtful about the combination of coffee, matcha and cacao but it worked, however I probably wouldn't get this again as I felt wired for the rest of the day. I came again the same week and got the matcha einspanner. They were able to make the foam vegan with coconut cream. The matcha wasn't bad but it wasn't as strong as I would've liked. The service here has always been unhurried and friendly. Ambiance here is bright and airy. I'm glad to see this addition to Venice and will look forward to returning.

Decided to try this place since we were in the area. The inside looks very dreamy and aesthetically pleasing. I ended up ordering an Iced Warhol 2.0 which was described to have a unique flavor mixture of coconut, espresso, spices, vanilla, and citrus. This drink was so unique and had nutty notes as well as that aftertaste of citrus which I really enjoyed. This might be my new favorite spot!

Unfortunately, my experience at Great White in Venice left me disappointed, and the main reason was the service. First, we arrived around 9:15 a.m. after seeing that the restaurant opened at 8:00 a.m., only to find out that opening had been delayed until 9:30 a.m. Honestly, that wasn't a problem at all. We waited outside, and when guests started arriving, we got in line and ended up being among the first few parties seated. The food itself was good, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. My issue was with our server, Nate. I understand that everyone has bad days, and I also work in the hospitality industry, so I try to be very understanding. However, the service felt extremely cold, detached, and uninterested from the beginning to the end of our meal. I'm not expecting over-the-top friendliness or a formal introduction, but there was virtually no warmth, no engagement, and no sense that he wanted to be there. Throughout our visit, an older gentleman working on the floor (possibly a busser or food runner) showed far more hospitality, attentiveness, and genuine care for guests than our actual server did. After we had finished eating, I ordered an orange juice while waiting for some pancakes to-go. I was asked whether I wanted the juice for here or to-go, and I specifically requested it for here. I then waited approximately 30 minutes. During that time, I received my check, paid my bill (including a generous tip), and watched multiple tables that had been seated after us receive their drinks and food while I continued waiting. My server walked by several times, looked in our direction, but never followed up or asked if we were still waiting on anything. Eventually, I flagged down another server, who was very kind and immediately looked into the situation. She returned and explained that the orange juice had apparently never made it onto the screen. However, I had taken a photo of my receipt, and the orange juice was clearly listed and charged. The issue was never the $10 orange juice. Mistakes happen. We all make them. The disappointing part was that nobody simply acknowledged the mistake or offered a sincere apology. A quick "I'm sorry, that was my mistake" would have completely changed the experience. One additional observation: I was told that cash is only accepted if you have the exact amount. That's perfectly fine, but I think that policy should be clearly posted at the entrance or on the restaurant's website so guests know beforehand. Again, I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, and I genuinely wanted to leave a positive one because the food and atmosphere were enjoyable. Unfortunately, hospitality is about more than just delivering food to a table. Based on this experience, it seemed that our server either dislikes working in customer service or was having a very bad day. Either way, many other staff members we interacted with demonstrated the warmth, energy, and hospitality that guests hope to experience when dining out.
