It's a nice place for coffee. I like the outdoor seating and I found parking relatively easy for a weekday morning. There's a parking lot where you can get validated or metered parking. The coffee is good (straight drip). My only gripe is that they make drinks faster than they can process payment. It becomes a bottleneck that employees don't seem to care about. It doesn't make sense. One of the good things about how Starbucks is run is that payment will always outpace drinks being made. At Caffe Luxxe it's the opposite which is terrible but an easy fix. Just get a 2nd tablet/POS. It's pointless not to. This is a bit of a deal breaker for me so that's why 3 stars. read more

I've been supporting cafe luxxe back when they only had 1 location and used to frequent the old Brentwood shop that was located in a historic building on San Vicente that was vacated by all the businesses due to a city order. I am so pleased to see how popular they've become and how much they've grown. This location in particular, isn't my favorite- drinks are okay/ usually lukewarm and staff isn't super friendly/consistent. I also tend to see a lot of people bring their dogs in no issue and walk out. I understand this location no longer allows dogs (as I was once asked to vacate the inside seating - think it was by the manager - since I had my friendly 15 pound dog who barks at nothing and no one inside- which is fine, rules are rules - I don't want anyone getting in trouble). However what I don't appreciate is being asked if my dog is a service dog (again) when other people do not get asked that (I've seen it when I've come without my dog and there have been other dogs large and small present in line with their owners and none of the staff ask them about their service dog status or tells them to leave). It's just really irritating and an odd feeling being singled out- especially if I'm just grabbing and going. If the rules apply to me shouldn't they apply to everyone? I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my dog in the car or tying her to a post, considering how much theft has been happening in the area. The staff here needs to be kinder and chill a little bit. I understand being in the service/F&B business is hard but it feels like I am in 2 different coffee shops between the two locations. The people at the Santa Monica location are so nice and friendly- it's really a much better vibe. read more

Update to my last review: To be totally honest, I have gone back 2-3 times with friends because of convenience. Needless to say, I'm never coming back. The coffee is lackluster and the pastries are boring! Plenty of alternate good coffee shops 5 mins away. And my last review mentioned a comment to me ONLY about dogs not being allowed when other dogs were in the shop when I was. Since then, without fail, I have seen MULTIPLE dogs go inside and be inside without comments being made . Cute cafe located in the newish shopping plaza on PCH & 2nd. I was introduced to this cafe through a Yelp event and I have been obsessed with their iced cafe nico ever since. It is a sensational combination of candies orange +espresso +milk +cinnamon. So good!! Lots of free parking and indoor and outdoor seating. I got the chai tea latte with oat milk, and it was exquisite. I mean... just look at the below photo. So much love and details went into it, even though it's just the way they sprinkled the cinnamon on the top of the cup. Goes to show what an extra 30 seconds can do to distinguish yourself... The chai tea latte isn't sweetened so you can customize it to your taste buds. I liked that option, most of the times cafes just use some type of sweetened, processed powder or syrup. Parking: they have 90min validation but I found st parking in the nearby neighborhood so I could stay longer than that. My only con was how much I had to pay for a latte with oat milk. Ok whoa. To be honest when I first came here, I felt like I wasn't enough of a coffee connoisseur to partake in such fancy coffee. HOWEVER, I was wrong. Similar to a regular sweetened iced latte, but it has some dark chocolate swirls for an extra dash of fun. Iced Latte sweetened with cane sugar - my favorite. Simple. Classic. Elegant. Can't go wrong! There's something about Caffe Luxxe's lattes that are just a perfect balance of coffee, milk, and sweetness. Would definitely recommend! Pricy coffee. Great atmosphere with comfy seats. I got the shakerato for $6 (one size) while the s/o got Premade iced green tea for $4. I loved loved loved the shakerato. If you want a bigger size I would go to a different coffee shop like Starbucks or something since I finished my drink real quick since it's basically a "tall" in Starbucks size but at a venti price. We also tried the ice vanilla latte which was tasty too. The two guys who work there are quick. There's a clean bathroom available. Parking is hard if the place is packed.
